  1. Does it matter that the NETGEAR only delivers up to 54 Mbps? Or the fact that it's b/g, not n or ac?
  2. I'm looking for someone with the knowledge, ability and willingness to turn a router into a repeater.    My bonus room is upstairs, and is lacking adequate signal strength from my Linksys EA6500.    I have an old NETGEAR WGR614v9, if someone can confirm it will even make a suitable host. If I need to pick up a better router to act as a repeater, I can do that.   I have no idea what, if any, factors I need to consider when going this route, so any helpful input would be greatly appreciated.    I am willing to pay for your time and services.    I live in Springfield, and work in Nashville/Airport area.
  3. Based on the OP's description of the event, this doesn't appear to be the case.
  4. Good point. Because the OP said the inmate was cuffed but refusing to keep his hands on the wall, I assumed they didn't also utilize additional restraints. if this is the case, maybe they need to consider doing so, for the safety of the guards and other inmates.
  5. While I'm not defending the OP, if a person is cuffed in the front, they can be extremely dangerous. Don't believe me? Allow someone in cuffs to get behind you and and get his cuffed hands around your throat.
  6. Smith & Wesson M&P15
  7. I don't have much advice, but I can point you in the direction to someone you DON'T want to take advice from on such a matter.  :leaving:
  8. I saw that, too. I've been reading some reviews of the Tisas 1911A2, and they seem to be getting high marks.
  9. As someone mentioned, like almost any store you buy flooring from, they contract the installation. While the store may hook you up with one or more installers to choose from, they try to keep the sales and installation separate. This way you can't come after the store for installation issues.
  10. My cell number must be one digit off from that of a drug dealer. I've had the same number for 10+ years, and I continually receive calls from those who sound to be in desperate need of a fix.   One lucky caller happened to get me while I was sitting around the house, sipping on an adult beverage or 7. I wonder how long he waited for me at the TA truck stop in downtown Nashville.
  11. No. They should be mandatory.
  12. I'm perplexed at the fact that you would hand anyone a firearm with a round in the chamber or magazine, period. Don't you work in a gun shop? I'm equally perplexed at the idea of your friend not checking the firearm before messing with it.  When I was 17-years-old, before I knew much of anything about firearms, I had a negligent discharge that could have easily left me or someone else badly hurt or dead. That day has forever changed the way I handle firearms. Hopefully the same can be said for you and your friend.
  13. I don't get it.  :shake:
  14. Are you required to keep them caged and/or tied up? Will they fly away, or will they always come home, similar to homing pigeons?
  15. I've been eyeing those pins, or some very similar.
  16. Bunch-o-f***ing-idiots.
  17. Engraved ejection port / dust cover. Inside and out.
  18. Don't be surprised if they make their rounds tonight.
  19. I recently read a story on one of the [local?] news outlets about a LEO being photographed while texting and driving. During the interview, this officer's superior said LEOs were exempt from laws related to using cellphones while driving.
  20. While I've never had this issue, it does appear to be quite common. A friend of mine is in the process of building his first AR, and he messaged me this morning with the same issue. Seems Hogue could/should address this issue.
  21. As someone who spends all day driving the roads in a semi, it is amazing how many people are addicted to their cell phones. I see countless drivers on a daily basis who can't even put their phones in the seat next to them, or anywhere else but their hands or lap. Less texting. More flashing.   :dirty:
  22. True. The same can be said for almost any crime. Too much slapping of the hand going on, in general.
  23. I ordered my pistol buffer tube from these guys, but didn't bother looking at much else until today. They have some decent upper halves for decent prices. Most seem to come without BCG and charging handle, but those are readily available.   http://www.shop.masdefense.com/BARRELED-UPPERS_c12.htm
