  1. I'd possibly be willing to do that with a range gun, but I wouldn't be comfortable removing any safety from a firearm that I regularly use as a carry or home defense weapon.
  2. As long as their prices don't increase, Bud's will likely continue to be cheaper than most other local retailers, even after sales tax. Online is a different story. May have to order more from Kentucky Gun Company.
  3. Welcome to TGO, Mike. If you hang around long enough, you'll likely come to realize the benefit of a Benefactor membership. Unlike other local classified websites, TGO offers a feedback system, much like eBay. This is very helpful in keeping members honest, allowing you to buy, sell and trade with some peace of mind.  Generally speaking, TGO is a pretty close community. For many of us, TGO is a home away from home. Unlike some of the "national" forums, many of us actually know each other, hang out together, help each other, and act much like any other sometimes dysfunctional family.    We've had some of the TGO Authorized Vendors offer perks to Benefactors, often making the membership well worth while. On top of that, and probably most importantly, the minimal (especially if you bite the bullet for the one-time Lifetime Benefactor Membership) fee allows the site owner to keep TGO up and running as well as he does. While some members may not want to admit it, I'm pretty sure the suicide rate in Tennessee would skyrocket if TGO were to ever be shut down for good. As a welcome to TGO, a Thank You for your service, and an early Christmas present, I will pay for your very first Benefactor membership. I'm confident you'll renew.
  4. I agree. Microsoft is trying very hard to cram Bing down our throats. No thanks.
  5. Thank you for the quick response. I just didn't want to be the one to leave someone hanging without a gift.
  6. Were the names already sent? If so, I have not received any information. If everyone has already been accounted for, it's no biggie.
  7. Trust this man. He knows his food.
  8. For the record, I am extremely please with the TV. The picture is beyond my expectations. The FedEx guys said they must be popular, because mine was the 6th one he had delivered today.
  9. Yes. I've always had great luck with them.
  10. I saw another new (to me) one in Franklin. Arms and Ammo, on Beasley Drive. Haven't had a chance to stop in, but I have a few customers on the same road.
  11. And good prices on ammo.
  12. It's cool, but not $500 worth of cool.
  13. Anyone found a price?
  14. That will go well in my TGO build.
  15. I sure don't. In case you didn't know, they now have a Gen 4.
  16. While sometimes not as bright as LED, Plasma generally offer a great picture quality, especially in a dark room. I think they handle motion better than a lot of the LED's. You can often get a bigger TV for the money, too.   Hey! Why aren't I looking more at Plasma TV's?  :biglol:
  17. It all depends on what you want to spend.   All LED TV's are technically LCD's. Some LCD's use CCFL backlighting, while others use LED backlighting. I prefer LED.    As far as the Hz goes, you'll pay more for more. I don't think the average person really notices the difference between 60Hz, 120Hz, 240Hz, etc. while watching most programming. Again, it depends on what you want to spend. I've done a ton of TV shopping as of late, and most of the more popular brands offer adequate TV's somewhere within their lineup. I am accustom to higher-end TV's, so it takes more to make me happy, but I don't think most people are as spoiled as myself. We were looking for a 39"-42", and I was able to find a handful in the $500 price range that I could live with. Sadly, out budget wasn't quite that high. I think I found a decent deal on an RCA from Walmart.com for $299, but I won't know for sure until it's delivered on Wednesday. Everywhere else is selling the same thing for $450-ish. It's for the bedroom, so I'm sure I can live with a less than stellar picture quality, no more that I'll be watching it. When I want a good picture, I'll go up to the bonus room.
  18. The government is making it very difficult to like them, even a little.   Some tenants in Metro public housing earn as much as $80,000 a year
  19. Not sure why I was thinking $40. Maybe I saw someone reselling them for that price.
  20. I think they were $40.
  21. PSA doesn't sell much garbage. I think the crazy prices of the not so distant past caused people to forget what normal prices were. Decent complete uppers weren't always $900.
  22. Sadly, because the elk was too friendly, the elk was killed.   Oops! Vontar beat me to it.
  23. I am also getting the error message.
  24. Party at DaveS's crib!
  25. Yeah, the other video shows the parents at the school a day or two before this video was taken.
