Trading Post Feedback Dispute
TripleDigitRide replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in Feedback and Support
You are correct. But they were the first thing that came to mind. -
Those women probably have no clue that they likely aren't getting such a great deal on that cookware. Some years ago, we purchased a rather nice large set of Paula Deen cookware from a store that I can't remember. It was heavy stainless with a thick copper bottom. I don't recall the exact price, but I know it was several-hundred dollars. Shortly after that, a friend and his wife were over, and they loved the set. A few days later he called to brag about how he just purchased his wife the same exact set from Wal-Mart for less than half the price. Needless to say, I was a little perturbed that I didn't shop around before dropping that kind of coinage. About 2 or 3 weeks later, we were invited to dinner. He just couldn't wait to rub in the fact that he got a much better deal that I did. From across the kitchen, they appear to in fact be the very same set. But as soon as I picked up one of the pans, it became quite obvious they were not. While the looked the same from a distance, once you picked up a piece for a closer inspection, the quality was not the same. The stainless steel was much thinner than mine. The copper bottom was roughly 2/3 thinner than mine. Even the handle was of cheaper quality, and not attached nearly as well as mine. I mentioned this to a friend who's a long-time employee of Wal-Mart, and he informed me that many items found at Wal-Mart are made more cheaply made that the same item you may find at other retailers. This is obviously to allow Wal-Mart to keep their prices lower. This does not happen with every item sold at Wal-Mart, but it does happen with some.

For the record, my girlfriend had to stop at Wal-Mart around 10:00 this morning. She said the place was dead. She walked right in, got what she wanted, and checked out in less than 10 minutes.

My first was also my last. Never again. There are so many great deals to be had online, and they will only get better with each passing year. More and more people are buying online these days, and retailers are quickly realizing they are competing with the likes of Amazon. As a Best Buy Elite Plus member, there were some pretty amazing deals to be had, never needing to leave the comfort of my desk chair. Some of those deals were inline with a few of the so-called "Doorbusters" seen at the physical retail locations.

Trading Post Feedback Dispute
TripleDigitRide replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in Feedback and Support
TGO's feedback system is similar to the system used by eBay and other websites. He, acting as the buyer, didn't hold up to his end of the deal. This resulted in a negative feedback from me. I, acting as the seller, did everything in my power to ensure the transaction went smoothly. He had zero reason to leave me a negative feedback, other than to "get even" for him receiving a negative feedback. -
Way back in May, I listed something in the TGO Trading Post for sale. At that time, TGO member acecool contacted me to purchase the item. I am going to be honest, I don't recall what the item was (possibly R/C helicopter related), or even the exact events that took place around this ordeal. However, I felt the need to leave a negative feedback. I haven't felt the need to leave anyone else negative feedback, and it's something I try to avoid at almost all costs. For me to leave a negative feedback, I must have had a very good reason to do so. The negative feedback left by me was as follows: Doesn't return calls. Doesn't call back when says he will. Left me hanging While my recollection of the events are a bit fuzzy, for me to leave this feedback, he must have told me that he definitely wanted the item. I must have attempted to call him multiple times. He must have told me that he'd call back, then failed to do so. He must have left me hanging. If I left this negative feedback, he deserved it. Fast forward to yesteday. acecool, a member with zero active posts or transactions, felt the need to leave me negative feedback, basically disputing my legitimate negative feedback of him. Due to the fact that I left feedback for him 6 months ago, yesterday may have been the first time he's visited TGO since May. That is pure speculation on my part, but why wait so long to dispute the feedback I left for him? Anyway, I am sorry to bother you with this, but I would appreciate it if someone could remove the bogus (and only) negative feedback left for me. Thank you in advance.

Welcome to TGO. -
Your wife will be in our thoughts.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of TGO. While my girlfriend probably doesn't feel the same way, I am extremely thankful for TGO and its members. There isn't a better forum or bunch of guys and gals on the internet. I'd like to extend an extra-special Thank You to our service members who aren't able to be at home with their friends and family this Thanksgiving. As always, you will be in out hearts and thoughts. We are extremely thankful and grateful for your sacrifices.

The uppers will also have some sort of logo or reference to TGO on them

While there's no doubt I could benefit from a few of his Sweatin' To The Oldies DVD's, I feel bad for the guy. He's been a huge inspiration to so many, yet he's felt the need to stay in the closet.

While Michelle is out there promoting healthier eating, while her husband is signing bills, like the "Monsanto Protection Act".

I'm still debating between the Gunfighter and the Raptor.

We got a heavy dusting here in Springfield. There's a fair amount partially covering the grass, but that's about it. My daughter is doing the No School dance, but we likely won't know until morning.

Man! How can someone not be searching high and low for their lost dog? He's a very good looking dog.

Any professional auto start (car) installers in the house?

She currently has a FOB with door and trunk control, and a panic button. She has an ignition key (with a chip) , so it's not a push button start. -
I did the voucher purchase differently than before, so it was a little confusing. I think we got it straightened out.

Why can't I join AR Owners social group?
TripleDigitRide replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in Feedback and Support
I am not able to create a group, but I am not able to join. Thank you very much. -
I can't tell you how many arguments I've been involved in over this topic. I am amazed at how many people think you can legally buy, sell and trade long guns with those who reside in other states, without the involvement of an FFL.

Still an issue.
