1. I've been talking to him for the last hour on Facebook. Super guy.
2. I'd never heard of them, so I wanted to do a bit of research before buying. He's a sponsor over at 68forums.com. I asked a question on his Facebook page, and he responded via private message within minutes. Just got done chatting it up with him. Seems like a super nice guy.
3. Received the Seekins magazine release button and enhanced bolt catch. Not sure why the finish isn't the same on both parts, but that's not really an issue.
4.
Ironworks Bare Bones LPK He has a drop down menu you can choose options for grips, trigger, trigger guard, and safeties. Haven't ever worked on a Harley, and have only put one complete AR together. The hardest part is choosing options, and finding the springs and detents when they launch, and finding the money to put the next one together. I would like to build one for my wife and daughter, whether they "need" one or not.
That's a great find. They have the safety and trigger I'm wanting, and it's cheaper through these guys. Thanks for sharing.
5. I sure as hell don't condone the disciplinary actions taken by so many of these schools, but if society wasn't so damn lawsuit happy, we wouldn't read nearly as many of these stories.
6. Yeah, ZT's aren't known for being petite.
7. Welcome to TGO. Enjoy your stay.
8. Probably bigger than you like, but here are a few great options (if they are your thing) for the money.   http://kershawguy.com/products-page/zt-blems/zt-0350-blem/   http://kershawguy.com/products-page/zt-blems/zt-0350-serrated-blem/   http://kershawguy.com/products-page/zt-blems/zt-0200-blem/   http://kershawguy.com/products-page/zt-blems/zt0350sw-stone-washed-blem/   http://kershawguy.com/products-page/kershaw-new/
9. Charlize Theron is gorgeous.
10. We've all been there. Better to be safe. I'm pretty sure no one asks more questions than me.
11. Thanks to our very own Volzfan, I now have a Lee single stage press.    One step closer.
12. I got mine for 1/2 price during a deal they had on Facebook. There was a blemish in the finish, but hardly noticeable. It's a great barrel, but I'm not sure I would have paid full price. Not that it's not worth it, but I have a hard time believing a $300+ barrel is THAT much better than a $150 barrel, for my intended purpose.
13. I had good luck with a barrel I purchased from them.
14. Here's one. http://www.joeboboutfitters.com/Lower_Receiver_Parts_Kit_without_Trigger_Group_w_p/rra-ar0120ltg.htm
15. If you plan on using the trigger that comes with the LPK, I prefer Stag Arms. That's assuming you don't want some sort of enhance or two-stage trigger. I've yet to find a better stock trigger than the Stag.
16. I see what your saying, but if there's enough play to separate the two halves that much, it's time to think about replacing something. I don't think they've come up with a way bring the receivers closer together, so this is the next best option. You're making me think too hard.
17. I'm far from an expert, but I think the tension screw is just an added feature that makes their already top of the line products another cut above the rest. If needed at all, I suspect it would be with an upper other than a CMT. I don't think it's designed to be cranked down. I imagine just enough pressure to snug it up a bit is all that's needed. Either way, it can't hurt.
18. Umm.. You sure? It's a set screw that's covered by the grip.
19.
Made some more progress this evening, friend loaned me a 5.56 barrel for the first TGO upper for the time being to be able to check the "yes, it was a pistol first" checkbox. :woohoo:
I put my stippled Umbrella Corp grip on mine, just to get a feel. Man, the grip angle is so much better, especially for a pistol.
20. So much for a bulk discount.
21. The 150-round boxes of American Eagle 62 grain were sixty-something-dollars. Less than 50 cents per round.
22. This isn't so much a need, as it is a want.
23. Ah, but that was 62 grain.
