1. I love stories like this. You're a good man (albeit a rather hairy man), so I'm sure you'll find a way to put it to good use.
2. If you'll need 5.56 ammo for your build, here is a decent deal. 35 cents/round.   http://buygunsandammo.com/product/5-56-62gr-fmj-ss109-penetrator-sealed-brass-case/?added-to-cart=18
3. The brightness on mine changes with single clicks. I've never tried holding down the button, but I suspect that will also work.
4. With the ever-expanding and restrictive gun control measures happening all over the country, when is enough going to be enough? Will it ever?   As I read the seemingly endless stories about magazine restrictions, specific firearm bans, mandatory firearm registration, I can't help but wonder how and why The People are allowing this to happen. Is everyone else sitting here, thinking something like this cannot and will not happen to them? Thinking the restrictions won't become any more severe?   The top 10 most restrictive states have a combined population of roughly 112,000,000 (one-hundred-twelve-million). Many of these states also have the most money and voting power. With such a large percentage of the population living in some of the most restrictive states like New York, New Jersey, Illinois, California and the like, how do the rest expect to have a chance at stopping any further restrictions, much less rolling back any of the already implemented restrictions?    It seems the sharks are circling the boat, picking us off, one by one. One state here, one state there. The submission and complacency is a bit mind-boggling to me. Maybe it's just me.
5. As far as I know, there isn't a date on the PMAGs. They do periodically change the design/generation, so that would give at least some indication as to when they were made.
6. OH MAN! He will continue to be in our thoughts.
7. They don't get much better than ol' Gordon.
8. No sweat. It's all good.
9. Again, you're assuming every situation is going to allow for a proper full grip on the weapon. If it means life or death, I don't care if the only part of my body touching the gun is my trigger finger, I'm pulling the trigger.
10. I don't see the trigger safety as being an issue.  My first carry weapon was an XD40, and that has the grip safety. Once I started watching training videos and thinking more about possible scenarios, I got rid of the XD for a M&P. People have been carrying defensive weapons with a grip safety for a very long time, and I'm sure countless people will continue to do so. It's just a personal preference.
11. I guess you always have the option of waving the white flag.
12. Yes, or similar situations where you may not be able to get a proper grip on the weapon. It's just the kind of thing that I think about when imagining possible scenarios where I may need to defend myself in a less that ideal situation.
13. For the record, I don't want any manual safety on my carry weapon.
14. I wouldn't carry a 1911 for the same reason. Plus, as neat as this thing looks, it's not a 1911.  While I may or may not ever find myself in such a situation, I don't like the idea of being forced to have a firm enough grip to engage the grip safety. Not in a possible life and death situation, anyway. For target shooting, that's a different story. Just my  :2cents:
15. Neat looking little pistol, but I'm not a fan a grip safety.
16. Why would they move their headquarters 900 miles away from their distribution center?
17. Why would they move their headquarters 900 miles away from their distribution facility?
18. I looked at this one while I was shopping for a tool chest. The price was pretty sweet, but while I don't use it a ton, I needed/wanted one that could stand a little more abuse. I've only had mine for a little over a year, but it hasn't given me a single issue.
19. TGO can be a very bad influence. Congrats!
20.
Those harbor freight boxes appear built sturdy enough to actually serve as a mechanic's roll around tool chest. The biggest user complaint I've read about them is that the wheels are not close enough to the corners and can be a tipping hazard if you do roll em around a lot. Which is not the biggest complaint one could imagine on a tool chest. I don't need something that tough, just lots of drawers to store my shop tools and random crap. But at least need good ball bearing slides. The main thing that bothers me about the kobalt tool chests, is apparently too much wasted space, but maybe that is somehow necessary for rollaround lockable storage. Fer instance, there is enough wasted blank panel space at the top of the bottom chests to hold another drawer. And the kobalt middle chests, have almost as much top and bottom blank panel space, as is occupied by the drawer space. And the extra space on both sides of the drawers seems excessive. Lose more than 4 inches of horizontal drawer space, for what purpose I don't understand, but maybe there is a good reason. I just have limited shop space, why I wanted chests. Seems counter productive to park some huge chest in the shop, when so much practical space seems wasted. For something that big in the shop, want it to hold as much crap as possible.
I haven't noticed that issue with the chest I have, but I don't roll it around very often. It's loaded pretty heavy, and I haven't felt like it would tip. The bottom chest carries a majority of the weight in mine, so it keeps the center of gravity pretty low. My only complaint would be that it lacks a handle on the right side.
Those sears craftsman tool boxes are probably made on the same production line.
Possibly the same production line, but different materials. Mine is no Snap-on, but it is much better quality than the cheaper line of Craftsman boxes I looked at.
