This is common with many lubricants, especially if left to sit for an extended period of time. It's more prone to happen in striker-fired guns.The lube will gel or gum up, if you will. Dust and lint being attracted by the lube doesn't help matters. I NEVER lube my firing pin. I clean it, and that's it. 

I have had the same issue on my phone. I uninstalled and re-installed the TapaTalk app, and that fixed the issue.

I am going to look at this idea. I would like to install it somewhere a bit more inconspicuous, if at all possible.

I don't think that would be an issue in my truck, but definitely something to keep in mind.

I could use the money more than the knife, but it wouldn't be the end of the world if I had to keep it for a while.

I am working out a deal with someone, and part of that deal is a Woodard automatic knife. He's not sure which model it is, but after looking at some pictures, it looks to be this Combat Auto. The pictures he sent aren't the greatest help, but I think I can make out enough. As you can see at the link, the price is a bit steep. I am not that much of a knife expert to know if the listed price is realistic or not, and I definitely don't want to overpay for something I'm probably going to sell anyway. Are these knives any good? Could I get anywhere int he ballpark of what they are listed for at the link above? The link states that the knife is "pre-owned", and so is this one. He claims it's in perfect shape, and has never been used.

I had the same MI rail on the AR I recently sold. I loved it.

I heard it on the Howard Stern show this morning. It's a joke, and completely rehearsed. 

I'm surprised anybody still falls for this type of scam.

Nice! I've been wanting a P30 for a long time, but I cringe when I see the price tag. They are proud of their weapons, for sure. One day.

I know he has several blue guns that he uses for the molding process, but I can't say exactly which one's he has. I know he was offering customers a free or discounted holster if they sent him a blue gun that he didn't already have. I am not sure if he is still offering that deal, nor can I remember the specifics. I just read it in passing.

Let me preface this post by saying, I am well aware this type of holster isn't for everyone. I'm just sharing my experience with a local (Murfreesboro) small business, not trying create a debate. I just received the holster that I'm going to mount in my truck. Leatherneck Tactical Concealment is a local small business, so I think most (if not all) holsters are made-to-order. I received my holster in 9 days from the time I placed the order. Plenty acceptable, as far as I am concerned. At last check, the "vehicle gun" holster is a special order, not something they advertise on the website. I believe Jeff is still toying with different designs and such. As far as I am concerned, this is just about perfect for my intended purpose. As you can see in one of my pictures below, this one will require the drilling of four small holes in the mounting area. This is not an issue for me. While the supplied 1/2" spacers may work for most, my hands will require slightly more space to get a firm grasp on the grip. The 1/2" would work, but I am going to swap those out for 1" spacers. I plan on mounting the holster at a slightly canted position under the steering wheel. Even as big as I am, there will be plenty of room to do this in my F-150. I will post more pictures after it's installed, but here are a couple after un-packaging. If you decide to give one of these a try, keep in mind that you will likely need to get an opposite-handed holster, depending on your mounting location. While I am right-handed, in order to properly grip the holster from the mounted position, I had to order a left-handed holster.

That would make sense. A .45 is 11.43mm. If the .45 is tight, it's likely a 12mm.

If I had to guess on its age, I'd say after 1860, but before 1900. A lot of those barrels were 12mm.

The oval with "ELG" inside is a Belgium proof mark.

Is there a particular reason you wouldn't just go with a CMT upper? 

Hopefully it's just a matter of a simple adjustment.

Awesome! Thank you for taking the time to do that. I'm in the process of building mine, and wasn't sure how long of a hand guard I should use for an 8.2"-8.5" barrel. You're has the look I'm going for.   What kind of barrel do you have? Are you using an adjustable gas block?
