There's one on GB, but with the starting price of $760, I'll wait until a local dealer has one for a much better price, even if the one on GB is one of the first 5000 made. I didn't realize they had 3-Dot fiber optic and tritium night sights. I thought there were gonna be stock 3 dot sights. Must have missed that somewhere.

Very nice. Keep us informed.

ex parte order of protection dismissed against hcp holder

Legality isn't in question, but your chosen actions are. Is the way you chose the best way? Personally, I think not. A small claims suit would have served the purpose, and costed much less money and aggravation. Your HCP wouldn't have been revoked either. -

WRONG!! This happened, because you didn't bother thinking about what you were doing. You thought you'd be better off playing the roles of investigator, lawyer and cop. You could have easily filed a claim in Small Claims Court, without ever stepping foot on their property. -

Very good idea. -

So not true! You could have very easily taken them to small claims court. If you would have done this, and won, they would have also been liable for the court costs. -
Someone on another board just picked up the new XD-M. Still not sure how in the hell he got it so fast, but here's what they look like in the box. I like the fact that everything is on the bottom of the case, rather than the gear being on the top, like the current XD's.

I thought the same thing, but again, I could be wrong. I know the government has made it more difficult to file bankruptcy. I think these changes were made within the last year or so.

Me driving home from work, and you being a complete moronic, Kojack wanna-be are not even close to being the same thing. Face it, you used extremely poor judgement when dealing with this situation, and now you wanna come here to cry about the consequences. Even though the OoP was tossed out, I would think you'll still need to have it expunged from your record, which costs time and money. I could be wrong about that, though. On top of that, even if it is expunged, I'm fairly sure it's always in the FBI records. Either way, I'd make sure I check into that. -

It's not only Orders of Protection that are easy to get. You can have an arrest warrant issued on someone just as easily, with no evidence. It's so simple, you can have one issued for someone you hardly even know, if at all. And chances are, when they are found not guilty, you'll walk away without any troubles yourself. The court system has no time to punish someone for bringing false charges against someone else. -

Yep, that $100 (or so) was well worth all this. I know, I know...You'd do it all over again. -
I understand, being a financial question, it may be too personal for many to answer and/or comment on, but because a friend of mine has gone nuts, I had to bring it up. Do you buy guns on credit? I've always lived a debt free lifestyle, so EVERYTHING I have is mine. I pay cash/debit for EVERYTHING. When I decide to purchase a home, this will have to change, of course, but until then, no one can take my personal possessions, because I missed a payment or two. I love guns just as much as the next person. I wish I had half as many guns as many gun owners seem to have. There is always a gun I "just can't live without". On the other hand, I've able to control myself enough not to go into debt over my love for guns. My friend, not so much. Without going into great detail, he's in debt nearly 5K, over guns!?! This makes no sense to me, whatsoever. I can't justify going in debt $500-$600, let alone 5K. I also know of another person who's guns are probably worth more than his home and vehicle. Ok, so his home is on wheels, but you get my point. I don't think he goes the "credit" route, but I know he often struggles paying his monthly bills, but he always has a new gun. Again, this makes no sense, whatsoever. Anyway, I'm done ranting. Just had to get this off my chest.

Has anyone been able to get any prices?

That's because they have to rely on making a bike with more HP, because the quality sucks. You can buy a a 4cyl car that comes stock with more HP than a V-6 truck. It's all in how they build the motor. Horsepower is cheap to make, but a quality bike isn't. The bigger HP numbers catch the eyes of rookie riders. All that HP only means the bike (motor) won't last as long. The motor is working harder, at much higher RPM's. That's not good if you're looking for a bike that's going to last a very long time. This is much of the reason you rarely see people riding their custom bikes on very long trips. They often build those bikes with motors pushing well over 100HP. When you're getting that kind of HP out of such a small motor, it's [the motor] working very hard. The harder they run, the sooner they break.

Well, if that design didn't come straight from the V-Rod. I'm not sure of your situation, but I think you'd be much better off buying a very nice, used bike with low miles. For the money you're looking to spend, you could get a sweet deal, on a bike that would last for several years. Those "off brand" bikes are cheaply priced for a reason. The quality simplt isn't there. For someone who knows little/nothing about motorcycles, they probably seem like a nice ride, but there is now way they could stack-up against "name brand" scooters. Here's an example. My dad just (yesterday) purchased this bike for less than $4000. It's a 200? SUZUKI INTRUDER LC 1500, with low mileage, and VERY well kept. No, it's not brand new, but it will undoubtedly outlast one of those bikes you're looking at. On top of that, the kind of bikes you're looking at could only dream of being such a smooth/comfortable ride. I know a touring bike may not be the ideal choice for you, but you can find the same type of deals for any type of scooter you may be looking for.

The DA doesn't have the option of appealing. Although, they could always charge you with another crime (even if they make up a crime), if only to make your life more difficult, and cost you lots of money. Either way, it's not worth it. ***Now that I've read what everyone else had to say, I guess you knew that already.

Confirmed! The XD-M will come with a "Match" grade barrel.

I've already seen all the women on the internet. It's time for me to move onto other "wimenz".

Here's something that may help you undersyand. This isn't my opinion. Just something I found on the interweb. The popularity of Glock pistols is due to several factors. They are renowned for their reliability, being able to function under extreme conditions and to fire a wide range of ammunition types due to their rugged construction. The simplicity of the Glock design contributes to this reliability, as it contains a relatively small number of components (nearly half as many as the typical handgun) making field maintenance and repair easier. They are significantly lighter than typical steel or aluminum-frame handguns, which makes them attractive for police officers and private citizens who carry a concealed handgun for self-defense. Another feature of Glock pistols preferred by many users is a lack of external controls such as levers, decockers, or manual safeties. This adds to the simplicity of use and removes a potential source of errors when operating the handgun under stress. Many Glock shooters feel that the relatively low height of the bore above the grip results in less torque when shooting and lower perceived recoil, leading to increased accuracy. Glock also claims that its "Safe Action" safety system results in smoother trigger pull than for a conventional double-action pistol.

I can't say too much, cause I catch myself watching that damn Big Brother, for the same reason. The women are very good looking, and always scantily clothed.

It's that really cool "Torture Test".

I was referring to the show itself. Without a doubt, they always have hot chicks on the show. This reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw today. "I Believe In Gay Marriage As Long As Both Chicks Are Really Hot!"
