  1. Basically, I'll need to stick with a certian ammo once I pick a barrel? Does it harm the rifle to use other ammo? BTW, thanks for the link, Tungy.
  2. I'm pretty sure Magiccarpetrides is a car salesman.
  3. No problem, Joe. if you have any questions about the info I sent, don't hesitate to let me know. Illl PM my number your way.
  4. Does the twist rate make much difference? If so, how?
  5. I've never been brave enough for a wife, but my girlfriend wants to get hers.
  6. So we won't be able to buy and sell fully-auto's for $25,000 anymore? Then you just trash them if you don't want them anymore? That would make them worthless then, right?
  7. Mark...Now you need this. Again, I don't know if it's a deal, but you can use it now. http://www.golsn.com/listings/outdoor_adventure/firearms/440354.html
  8. Or .458 SOCOM? I have to get one of those, but the scarcity/price of ammo that Rightwinger was telling me about could easily be a deterrent. But it's so bad a$$!
  9. In no way, shape or form can I call myself an expert, but I'm getting the AR first. After that's all done, I'm gonna work on some other rifles. I want to get the expensive one out of the way.
  10. You're probably right. He did mention that he thought a gun store owner had it out for him or something. In a smaller market like Smithinville, I can see it upsetting his [store owner] business. From what I understand, the ATF also had a talk with the guy who was only selling firearms accessories. I think it was mostly magazines and such. No (or not many) firearms. I can see where they would have been upset with him as well, because he was buying quantities of new product, then selling it for a profit. Either way, it's probably best to distance yourself from them, and attempt to follow the law to the best of your abilities.
  11. Here's the semi-auto version. I saw someone (on one of these forums) selling the BP verison. They weren't cheap. [ame] [/ame]
  12. Sounds like you're on the right track. Maybe you could schedule a FTF meeting with the ATF. Maybe they can give you some exacts. Tell them that you'd like to stay within the law, and you really need some information. I definitely don't buy/sell/trade that many firearms, so I've never taken the time to investigate the ATF laws quite that deep, but one would think they would have some hard numbers to go by. I would also venture to guess that the ATF doesn't usually come knocking on your door if you're simply trading a "few" firearms.
  13. How did I miss this thread? If the OP is talking about a guy in Smithville, with the first name that starts with "S", he deserves what he gets. That moron screwed me around and lied to me about a purchase I was supposed to make from him. He's a complete waste of time. After reading this thread, I'm glad the deal didn't work out as he described it would. I don't need mixed up in all that. And that guy wasn't just selling a "few" guns. He had roughly 20 (kinda guessing, but I'm sure it's close) guns on LSN at a time. He was selling big time. According to him, they were part of a personal collection of 200-300 guns. On top of that, if it's the same guy, he used to sell/supply guns at a gun store in the Smithville area, but it's no longer open. With an "Average Joe" selling that many firearms, it's no wonder the ATF took issue.
  14. I do! I haven't been carrying while at work, but I will likely start doing so. Most truck drivers are not allowed, but my company doesn't have any rules against guns, so I could easily start. It would be somewhat difficult to carry while actually working, but I could easily carry one in the truck. Heck, I guess I could get me something like an LCP to stick in my pocket. I don't believe that would hinder me while working.

    Help!!

Ummm....I didn't sell him that fishing reel. I swear. I never heard anything about it. I guess it works well, or he hasn't tried it yet.

    Help!!

Again, you're not the only one around here who's done something stupid in our past. You live and you learn. It's nice to know that Allan hasn't pushed you to the iron skillet, yet.

+1 Without question, you should be there. Domestic violence is a serious charge. Whatever you can do to show the court how serious and sorry you are for what you've done, you should do it. I'd be there, well dressed and groomed. A few tears wouldn't hurt either. Anything you can do to help your cause should be done. Best of luck. Keep us posted.
  18. I'm in no great big hurry. I'm sure they have much more important things going on. I'll give it a few days, and if I don't hear anything, then I'll give him a call.
  19. OUCH! Nice. Very nice.
  20. This is the first I've heard of this. I don't buy beer, but I'll keep an eye out for them doing this to someone else.
  21. I'm sure that's the case. I mean, how could anyone want to ignore a wonderful individual such as myself?
  22. Actually, I love it. It's the cheapest for of entertainment I've found. I was simply stiring the pot. Carry on!
  23. Does it really matter? To justify this much bickering? Police are allowed to make mistakes. Afterall, they are only human.
  24. I'm not sure. I'm still waiting on Joe. He's likely busy or has me on ignore. I just sent him the info yesterday morning (I think), so I'll give him a little time.
  25. You're very welcome, Mark. Glad I could help.
