  1. My recollection is exactly the same as yours.
  2. For some reason I thought you actually owned one. My bad.
  3. +1 Have your son or daughter proofread for you next time.
  4. IIRC, I took my certificate to the DL Testing Station, and filled out the paperwork. Then I went to Academy of Personal Protection & Security (Hill Ave. Nashville) for the fingerprinting. I was in and out of there in less than 5 minutes. No appointment needed. BTW, Congrats on finally getting through the HCP class. Yes, we had complete morons in our class as well. And no, I wasn't one of them.
  5. Have you tried yours in the bright sunlight? I was reading some reviews, and while most were quite favorable, I did read quite a few complaints about the red dot and circle not being very visible in bright light. Also, I saw quite a few negative reviews concerning the porr quality/fit of the lens covers. Most suggested buying an aftermarket set of covers. These issues may have been corrected by Millett, but I wanted to make sure. What say you?
  6. First is what Bernie Mac--now Issac Hayes?
  7. OK, I've decided not to go with the EOTech that I was gonna get from Joe at Hero Gear. I put some real serious thought into what exactly I was going to use this AR for, and I believe a rifle scope will better suit my needs. As for which scope I'll be going with--that's still up in the air. So, if anyone is interested in a pretty darn good deal on that EOTech 511, contact Joe at Hero Gear. From what I understand, it's not technically brand new, but there is no way you could tell by loking at it. From what I recall, it looked absolutely perfect to me. I'm sure Joe could give you better details. The hunt is on for a scope.
  8. Is this one of those "You Get What You Pay For" situations?
  9. I missed all that. Oddly enough, I was at the Chinese buffet with some friends while the opening ceremonies were on TV. Now I'm trying to find it. I would have thought Comcast would have it on their On-Demand section, but I can't find the whole thing.
  10. Does anyone know if Comcast On-Demand has the opening ceremonies? I was able to find the lighting of the torch and the speeches, but that was it. I'm looking for all the other stuff as well. Thanks.
  11. Sorry, I made my last post a bit confusing. I was talking about both, but didn't make it clear. I use #4 Buck, but started out talking about #4 Bird damage to the human body. Sorry, it's still early.
  12. Then you wouldn't mind being TGO's very own test dummy, right? Most of us have never seen what type of damage #4 can do to a human body. Since it's for the birds, you should be pretty safe. Fact is, at Home Defense range (INSIDE A HOME), #4 would turn parts of the BG into hamburger meat. Even if this didn't kill him, it is very likely to slow him way down--the reason for the escalation from #4 to a slug. Once the BG has slowed down, it's much easier to ensure a clean, on target hit with the buck and slug (if needed). The main reason for me using #4 is, because my daughters bedroom is right next to mine, in the very direction the BG would likely be coming from. The #4 is a bit less likely to travel through the wall, risking injury to my daughter. Just my
  13. #4, #4, 0 Buck, 0 Buck, 00 Buck, 00 Buck, Slug. That's how they'll come out.
  14. With current ammo prices being as they are, how (per round) is a fair price to be paying for .223/5.56? What are some of the brands you'd suggest going with, and what are the brands I should stay away from?
  15. Yes, but can you send/forward a picture/video clip/audio clips from your phone to another phone, via a Text Message? I know it can be done via the internet, but that's not what I'm looking to do. Sending pictures/video clips/audio clips isn't a problem for most newer cell phones, but according to Tech Support, the Windows OS won't all me to do it. This is what happened; Someone forwarded me one of those text messages (with a .gif clip) that eventually gets sent to everyone on the face of the planet, but when I attempted to forward it to people, all they got was the text. No one could see the picture. I can save the picture/file to my phone, then send it via email, but not text message.
  16. I have the Palm Treo 700wx, and I just found out I can't send pictures/video files/audio files via text messaging. I'd have to send them via email, but that doesn't work if I'm trying to send it to someones phone. Tech Support informed me that this is because my Treo has the Windows OS. If it were the Palm OS, it would work.
  17. Thanks for the update, Joe. Here is the lower with one of the PMAG's I just picked up from TNRobocop. One step closer.
  18. That's kinda what I was thinking. 27.XXX so far.
  19. Does anyone know if this is really a test the Air Force uses? I've made is close to 24 seconds. It's hard for me to beieve someone could make it 2 minutes.
  20. Hey Pops: I saw a couple booths with rifle cases (including one of our site vendors, TPS-TNRobocop), but non were very "discreet". All of them had some type of pouches on the outside of the case. And 36" was the shortest I was able to find. TPS-TNRobocop has cases with the removable pouches. I would shoot him a PM. There's a good chance he can order what you're looking for. Also, if you're interested in getting ripped off on a new Ruger LCP, a show vendor had a brand new one for the ridiculously high price of $430 + tax/tics. If you want one bad enough, it's there.
  21. I'm not sure if this is a real Air Force test, but it somewhat addictive. The object of the game is to move the red block around Without getting hit by the blue blocks or touching the black walls. If you can go longer than 18 seconds you are phenomenal. It's been Said that the US Air Force uses this for fighter pilots. They are Expected to go for at least 2 minutes. Give it a try but be careful...it is addictive!! Air Force Test
  22. I'm heading out there in just a bit. I'll take a look for ya.
  23. I'm only going, because TPS-TNRobocop has a booth and some PMAG's with my name on them.
  24. The tension is automaitcally adjusted by the self adjuster on the pedal release. Looking from the backside of the hub, you will see an oval shaped rubber plug. Remove the plug and look in with a flashlight. You will see the adjuster wheel. They adjust the same way as drum brakes, only they can be harder to do, because they are in there pretty far and hard to see. You will probably have to use a small screwdriver instead of a brake spoon to adjsut them. This is a direct copy/paste from the service manual--- The park brake cables on this vehicle have an automatic self adjuster built into the park brake pedal mechanism. When the foot operated park brake pedal is in its released (upward most) position, a clock spring automatically adjusts the park brake cables. The park brake cables are adjusted (tensioned) just enough to remove all the slack from the cables. The automatic adjuster system will not over adjust the cables causing rear brake drag. Due to the automatic adjust feature of the park brake pedal, adjustment of the parking brake cables on these vehicles relies on proper drum brake (Refer to 5 - BRAKES/HYDRAULIC/MECHANICAL/BRAKE PADS/SHOES - ADJUSTMENTS) or park brake shoe (Refer to 5 - BRAKES/PARKING BRAKE/SHOES - ADJUSTMENTS) adjustment. When the park brake pedal is applied the self adjuster is by-passed and the pedal operates normally to engage the park brakes. When a service procedure needs to be performed on the park brake pedal or the park brake cables, the automatic self adjuster can be manually locked out by the service technician.
