  1. I've never filled one out. I'll never fill one out.
  2. I don't think you'll have to pay taxes, but remember, even though the guns are equal in value (assuming you're correct about that), the dealer is looking to make a profit. If there is no money to be made by the dealer, he's not likely going to do the even trade. If you're gun was worth a bit more than his gun, your chances would be quite a bit better. I assume the dealer will figure the taxes into the trade. I'm pretty sure the dealer still has to pay his taxes on the gun you'd be getting from him.
  3. Thanks for that info. I had no idea that was there. I'll have to check it out.
  4. This probably isn't one of the best songs, but it is somewhat catchy. Radio Version [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V88d-yXotKk[/ame] Better ( UNEDITED) Version [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-_Cstkk6Jc[/ame]
  5. Amazing story. Almost made me teary-eyed. I know it's not the same, but it reminds me of my Grandfathers Fender Jaguar guitar that had been stolen many many years ago. About a year ago, my father decided to put the Interweb to use, and what do ya know, he found the guitar for sale on eBay. Some collector/dealer in the Michigan had just posted it for auction. The Fender Bandmaster amp has never been recovered.
  6. There is a section dedicated to this subject at the bottom of the Forums page. http://www.tngunowners.com/dynamics/browsecategory.php?c=4 There is a Gallatin Gun Club, but chances are, you'll not get in there to shoot. They make it very difficult. Trust me, I live in Hendersonville and know all about it.
  7. I don't know, but it's obviously hurting the drug dealers.
  8. Not to thread hijack, but I was wondering the same thing for my AR.
  9. That's why God created the "New Thread" button. I can always leave a big "F-YOU <enter members name here>" message for them.
  10. Actually, the supply is that rigid. I have a friend (yes, one of those "I have a friend" stories) who has been delivering gas and diesel in and around the Middle Tennessee area for several years, and he says that if anyone was to cut the fuel supply to the Middle Tennessee area at any given time, gas would run out within a few short days. This is based on normal consumption. It is not uncommon for fairly busy gas station to have gas delivered on a daily basis, so it's no real wonder why they ran out of gas in just a few short hours. The Exxon at the corner of my road had a trailer load of gas being dropped in the ground when I passed by at about 6:30am, and before 6:30pm, they were bone dry.
  11. I gor a 10 spot that this happens by time they air the AM news. This place has gone nuts. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if all this is happening because some 17 year old punk thought it would be funny to call a news station claiming to be a gasoline supplier or something. Gas is going to run out within the hour. What idiot bought that line of BS?
  12. Well, I saw it with my own two eyes. The Exxon near my house had a parking lot full, and lines out to the street. It was a nightmare just trying to get in to use the ATM machine. Complete morons, they are. Most of these idiots are probably going to waste all that gas on trips to the darn mall anyway. I decided not to get any gas, even though I had less than a 1/4 tank. I'm looking for a reason to blow a few vacation days.

    new gun

    Congrats. Love my XD40!
  14. Thanks! I guess I should have read that before posting. Overlooked on my part. Thanks again.
  15. I'm wondering why I can't post in a Buyer/Seller thread that's been started by someone else? I don't recall this ever being an issue in the past. I was simply trying to thank a member for his kind words regarding a transaction we had earlier in the day. Thanks in advance.
  16. That would be perfect--if the pouches were removable. I wouldn't mind the slim mag pouches, but those are too big. Thanks for the help so far, guys.
  17. Congrats! Enjoy yourself.
  18. I wasn't saying that he should have stolen it. I meant that the government should have given it to him. What he does with it after that is up to him. Then again, it's bad enough dealing with criminals who have free access to guns, we sure as heck don't need them having free access to guns and body armor.
  19. Hey, he served our country. Let him have the vest. It's well deserved, IMHO.
  20. I'm looking for a soft AR case, but with so many out there, I'd like some input from those who know. Things I'm looking for; -About $60 or less. -Quality. I know I may not be able to expect $200 quality, but I'd like the best quality for the money. -36" or close to it. I think the AR should fit into a 36" just fine. -Magazine pouches -Inner straps to hold the AR in place would also be nice. I'm sure there's more, but that's all I can come up with.
  21. @ "round black guy". I'm glad to know that I'm not the only "round" member on TGO.
  22. My boss has changed his mind. Now he wants to go with the PTR 91.
  23. Due to it's design, you are quite limited on the mods and/or add-ons. His version was anyway. There was a small area where he had a small flashlight mounted towards the end of the barrel, but that was it.
  24. Yes, Bushmaster is now making them. With all the negative press about these, I don't think I'd be as brave enough to buy one like my boss, but I sure would love to have one if they could ever correct the potential issues. Honestly, there wasn't anything real amazing about the actual look of the gun. I was more amazed at the weight. Well, the barrel and quick release flash hider were pretty cool, too.
  25. +1 Joe made me a firm believer in what he mentioned in the above post. Top notch!
