  1. That would be perfect--if the pouches were removable. I wouldn't mind the slim mag pouches, but those are too big. Thanks for the help so far, guys.
  2. Congrats! Enjoy yourself.
  3. I wasn't saying that he should have stolen it. I meant that the government should have given it to him. What he does with it after that is up to him. Then again, it's bad enough dealing with criminals who have free access to guns, we sure as heck don't need them having free access to guns and body armor.
  4. Hey, he served our country. Let him have the vest. It's well deserved, IMHO.
  5. I'm looking for a soft AR case, but with so many out there, I'd like some input from those who know. Things I'm looking for; -About $60 or less. -Quality. I know I may not be able to expect $200 quality, but I'd like the best quality for the money. -36" or close to it. I think the AR should fit into a 36" just fine. -Magazine pouches -Inner straps to hold the AR in place would also be nice. I'm sure there's more, but that's all I can come up with.
  6. @ "round black guy". I'm glad to know that I'm not the only "round" member on TGO.
  7. My boss has changed his mind. Now he wants to go with the PTR 91.
  8. Due to it's design, you are quite limited on the mods and/or add-ons. His version was anyway. There was a small area where he had a small flashlight mounted towards the end of the barrel, but that was it.
  9. Yes, Bushmaster is now making them. With all the negative press about these, I don't think I'd be as brave enough to buy one like my boss, but I sure would love to have one if they could ever correct the potential issues. Honestly, there wasn't anything real amazing about the actual look of the gun. I was more amazed at the weight. Well, the barrel and quick release flash hider were pretty cool, too.
  10. +1 Joe made me a firm believer in what he mentioned in the above post. Top notch!
  11. My boss and I often discuss our love for guns, and he had been telling me about this carbon AR-15 that he's had for quite a while. Though some of you may know all about it, I had never seen one. When he was talking about this carbon AR, I just assumed the stock, handguard, and maybe a few other little parts were made of carbon. I was wrong. Well, be brought it in today. It ended up being a Professional Ordnance Carbon 15, with a carbon fiber upper and lower receiver, stock and handguard. It also had a stainless fluted barrel and quick release flash hider. Everything was super lightweight. I think the whole thing weighs in at about 4.5 pounds. Amazing. He said that most of the reviews were on the negative side. Something about FTF's and FTE's, I think. Maybe something about the handguard getting warm as well. Hell, I can't remember--I was to amazed with how light it was. He claims to have put several hundred rounds through it, without a single issue. I don't know if all the negative reviews are justified, but that thing sure was bada$$.

    Doctors

Guns are far more likely to kill doctors than doctors killing guns.
  13. I'm posting a picture of the gun in question. He was having trouble getting the picture posted.
  14. I love dogs as much as the next guy, but I'd have to put him/her down. You can buy some serious fire power with 2K-5K.
  15. You mean people are buying up all the lowers, just like they're buying up all the gas? Silly wabbits!

    Gas

However you look at it, I had less than a quarter of a tank on Thursday night, and I'm very happy that I ran to the Exxon for a fill-up. If I hadn't, that same fill-up, today, would have costed me an extra $50.
  17. Who cares about the sling--We want pictures!
  18. Holy Smokes! I'm glad to hear things didn't turn out any worse than they did. I hope the little guy heals soon. Sad thing is, they are plenty of people who'd be willing to break both their arms for a dose of the drugs that youngin's been gettin.
  19. AOW=Any Other Weapon I think he said they cost about $600-$650+
  20. By EDC, I assume you're talking about a gun? A knife? A flashlight? A multi-tool? I don't see the little HCP symbol under your avatar, so can we also assume that you don't have a HCP?
  21. I figured it out. MP= Magnetic Particle Tested CB= Chromed Bore
  22. Can someone tell me what the letters that are stamped on the barrel mean? MP 5.56 NATO 1/7 CB What does the MP and CB mean? Thanks.
  23. Have a safe trip. Thank you for your service.

    Gas

No, I don't own a gas station, but every time I hear a station owner talking about profit's, they claim to make only 5-10 cents profit, per gallon. They also claim to make more money on the items inside the store.
  25. I'm not sure if you know it or not, but that pictures is doctored. Yes, that's Sarah's head, but the body is not hers. http://www.factcheck.org/askfactcheck/is_that_a_real_photo_of_sarah.html Yes, it's a nice rifle.
