  1. I'm not an expert, but I'd bet you could turn those rifles into a brand new 10/22, and likely have money left over for some nice upgrades. Sell/trade wisely, grasshopper.
  2. They should--and usually do--go bang when you pull the trigger. They will hurt if shot with one. Best of luck! Enjoy!

    XD Owners!

XD owner here! I've thought about having some trigger work done, but I decided there really wasn't any need. The trigger feels just fine to me. If you're using the gun for a defense weapon, I'd leave it as is. If you're going to use it for competition shooting, I'd at least consider a trigger job. I know a few guys who seem to do VERY well in competition with bone stock XD's. As far as ammo goes, 99% of what I use is WWB. I can honestly say that I've NEVER had a single issue with WWB ammo. That's why I continue to use it.
  4. MidwayUSA is a great company to deal with. I've never had any issues with them. As far as the ammo goes, it's like any other gun/ammo combonation. Some guns seem to eat certian ammo just fine, and not work well with others. It really depends on what your gun likes. I'd look at Wal-Mart. With that being said, I've never had any issues with American Eagle ammo, period. I'd give it a shot.
  5. Usually Wal-Mart is going to be your cheapest bet on a new Ruger 10/22. I'm not saying you can't find them cheaper, but it may not be that easy.
  6. I did the same thing. I went through all the threads I've started to find everyone whom I've had dealings with. I'm pretty sure I got everyone. By chance I missed someone, please don't hesitae to let me know.
  7. Since you already got your answer, I'm going to hijack your thread for a quick second. I found this definition on Urban Dictionary. hollowpoint bullet 4 up, 13 down http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=hollowpoint+bullet Hollowpoint bullets are bullets used in firearms like pistols. They are sharp, causing the bullet to blow up when hitting the target, causing maximal damage. Hollowpoint bullet easily takes someone's head off. Hollowpoint bullets are illegal in most countries for civilian people.
  8. Most Spring-Assisted opening knives open just as fast and easily as an automatic knife. Plus, you don't have to worry about accidentally stabbing yourself in the leg when you unintentionally hit the button while the knife is in your pocket. Oh wait, that can't happen, cause it's not legal to carry an automatic knife in the first place. To me, the ridiculously high prices that come with the automatic knives are just not worth it. I'd suggest getting yourself a quality assisted opening knife and call it good.
  9. I must have missed something, because I didn't quite have the same emotional experience towards the original video as many of you. The Toby Keith song, though, that will always be a great song.
  10. Another vote for the Marlin--unless you need the 870 for HD purposes.
  11. Those are very nice. What method did she use to come up with that mosacic checkering texture/look? Looks crackled or something.
  12. Do you have a Harbor Freight in your area? I love that place. You can even order on-line. Here's the listings for TN. 13. With the economy in the crapper, will the price of guns begin to make a downward turn any time soon?
  14. In the Hendersonville area, it's ranging from $3.49 at the Exxon near my house, to $3.19 at Kroger. I talked to my father who lives in Tulsa, I think he said it was roughly $2.59 today.
  15. I've been to both. A good time was had. Take your walking shoes. You should try the Incline. We enjoyed that as well. That whole area is beautiful this time of years. Enjoy!
  16. We thank you for your amazing service.
  17. Looks like the only sure fire way to get a definitive answer is going to be by trying it out. Please let us know how it turns out.
  18. I'm in the Hendersonville area, but I can't think of anywhere to shoot rifles. Unless you know someone, it can be difficult finding somewhere other than a "range" to shoot.
  19. With all the LEO's who visit TGO, and none of them have a clear answer on this?
  20. I'm glad someone was able to talk some sense into a family member. The fact that he was cremated slipped my mind when I had the question about where he was burried. I'm just glad he's fianlly resting in peace.
  21. So, his family continued to be complete a$$e$ about the whole situation? Last I heard, they didn't know what was going to happen without the family signing some papers. I didn't realize you could bury a person just anywhere. I was under the impression it had to be in a cemetery. Sounds like a great place was chosen.
  22. I attended the Friends of NRA dinner here in the Hendersonville area. They gave away and auctioned some great stuff. This was the first I had attended, and was quite surprised at the number of quality guns they had to offer. Of course, I walked out empty handed, but the food was great.
  23. I would like to think NO, but I'm not an expert on such matters. Is this strictly hypothetical?
