  1. Hmmm.....It's like they dropped a 360 degree curb in the middle of the road. It's usually filled with grass, flowers, shrubs, or a sign. You've seen them before, I'm sure. They force you to slow down to maneuver around them. They are kinda like miniature Town Squares. That's the best I can do.
  2. Unfortunately for you and your family, this is a perfect example why both shopping at Wal-Mart and OC are bad ideas. Neither are worth the trouble.
  3. Yep, it looks as if they should expand quite nicely when you shoot yourself in the butt.
  4. +10000000000000 BL is one of the greatest shows, ever! I'm sad to see it going.
  5. Thanks! Once I can finally afford to shoot mine, I'll determine if I need to make any changes. I opted for the LMT Standard S/A BCG. To be honest, I'm not even sure what type of buffer I have. I guess I need to find out.
  6. You must be a proud owner of a Hi-Point!
  7. Question is, are there any real benefits for the average shooter? This is a serious question. I really have no idea.
  8. I lived in a residential neighborhood in Davidson County, and they opted for the Speed Humps. Unlike regular Speed Bumps, these humps were much larger in width, and not quite so high. They would require the driver to slow down, but not quite like you would going through a parking lot with regular speed bumps. These were installed before I moved to the neighborhood, so I'm unsure of the effort needed to get the city or county to put the humps in place. This particular road (Gibson Dr.) was a connector, between Due West Ave. and Old Hickory Blvd. Sounds somewhat similar to your situation. Best of luck.
  9. That is the greatest ***** ever! Nice find!
  10. Looks to be a fairly rare find. And in the Nashville area. http://www.sturmgewehr.com/webBBS/semi4sale.cgi?read=205873
  11. Thanks! Much appreciated!
  12. Here's a link for similar Marlin's. Many are brand new, but a few used like yours. It should give you a rough estimate. http://gunbroker.com/Auction/SearchResults.asp
  13. Again, I'm no expert, but I don't think the Marlin will bring AR kind of money. I'd say you would still be in the 10/22 range, with some boot. Use the boot to begin the tacticool process.
  14. Yes! Instead of taking 50% off 1 of the 2 boxes, they take 25% off both of the two. Still equals 50% off 1 of 2.
  15. Maybe a gun that's size and configuration is better suited for your hands is worth looking into.?.
  16. You can carry as many as you'd like. The State of Tennessee knows that you just may encounter this guy, and just one gun isn't going to cut it.
  17. Nice find. Of course this would happen when I can't afford it. I sure could use some AR food. Maybe next time.
  18. I'm not an expert, but I'd bet you could turn those rifles into a brand new 10/22, and likely have money left over for some nice upgrades. Sell/trade wisely, grasshopper.
  19. They should--and usually do--go bang when you pull the trigger. They will hurt if shot with one. Best of luck! Enjoy!

    XD Owners!

XD owner here! I've thought about having some trigger work done, but I decided there really wasn't any need. The trigger feels just fine to me. If you're using the gun for a defense weapon, I'd leave it as is. If you're going to use it for competition shooting, I'd at least consider a trigger job. I know a few guys who seem to do VERY well in competition with bone stock XD's. As far as ammo goes, 99% of what I use is WWB. I can honestly say that I've NEVER had a single issue with WWB ammo. That's why I continue to use it.
  21. MidwayUSA is a great company to deal with. I've never had any issues with them. As far as the ammo goes, it's like any other gun/ammo combonation. Some guns seem to eat certian ammo just fine, and not work well with others. It really depends on what your gun likes. I'd look at Wal-Mart. With that being said, I've never had any issues with American Eagle ammo, period. I'd give it a shot.
  22. Usually Wal-Mart is going to be your cheapest bet on a new Ruger 10/22. I'm not saying you can't find them cheaper, but it may not be that easy.
  23. I did the same thing. I went through all the threads I've started to find everyone whom I've had dealings with. I'm pretty sure I got everyone. By chance I missed someone, please don't hesitae to let me know.
  24. Since you already got your answer, I'm going to hijack your thread for a quick second. I found this definition on Urban Dictionary. hollowpoint bullet 4 up, 13 down http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=hollowpoint+bullet Hollowpoint bullets are bullets used in firearms like pistols. They are sharp, causing the bullet to blow up when hitting the target, causing maximal damage. Hollowpoint bullet easily takes someone's head off. Hollowpoint bullets are illegal in most countries for civilian people.
  25. Most Spring-Assisted opening knives open just as fast and easily as an automatic knife. Plus, you don't have to worry about accidentally stabbing yourself in the leg when you unintentionally hit the button while the knife is in your pocket. Oh wait, that can't happen, cause it's not legal to carry an automatic knife in the first place. To me, the ridiculously high prices that come with the automatic knives are just not worth it. I'd suggest getting yourself a quality assisted opening knife and call it good.
