  1. Some of those are beyond amazing. Thanks for sharing.
  2. I watched all 3. Thanks for sharing. Too bad the government doesn't see things quite the same way.
  3. +1 It's not easy, but I have to force myself to stay away from that place for a while. Great bunch of guys.
  4. Unless someone knows a better way, you'll have to cut/grind it off with something like a Dremel. You'll then have to drill and tap for the new sight.
  5. Based on the articles I've read, over penetration is not likely to occur with the Five-Seven. Most statistics I've read show the penetration levels on a block of bare gelatin are roughly 7"-8". Don't get the statistics confused with the same ammo fired from a P90. Those numbers would be closer to 12". How accurate are those numbers? I have no idea. They are just the ones I've been able to find. Maybe a real pro can chime in.
  6. :D
  7. Congrats to the both of you. Have a great day!
  8. I've never carried one. It wouldn't be the choice for me, but I do know of a few guys who use the Five-Seven as their primary carry weapon, and they seem very comfortable with their choice. Many would probably argue that the penetration and wound channel of the Five-Seven are not the best for real stopping power. I guess shot placement would be a bit more crucial. I'm no expert, so take that for what it's worth.
  9. That picture is money in the bank. Very nice.
  10. That's a Big 10-4
  11. And, yes, without a doubt.
  12. I know what you're saying. In all fairness, the banquet was at the Hendersonville High School, because they offered their facilities for free or a very discounted rate. Nevertheless, being my first NRA event, I was slightly surprised.
  13. All of them, if they really want to be able to visit TGO.
  14. Umm...OK. How about the $3/month plan?
  15. I could be way off. I'm just going by the " Total members that have visited the forum today" section. As of now, todays has seen 402 members. I don't look at it on a daily basis, but it generally seems to hover in that general area whenever I look at it.
  16. Look, we have our first volunteer.
  17. Start cutting access to those 300-400 non-benefactor members who sign on everyday, and I'm sure those $3 donations will start rolling in.

  19. That's understandable, but I think we can do it. Hell, even if us "regulars" chipped in a few bucks extra, we can do it. I'm far from an expert on this kind of thing, but how many Benefactors does TGO currently have? I really have no clue, but I would have thought there were already enough to cover the $150-$200/month. I assume there would be other costs involved with keeping TGO up and running, but if the current bandwith and hosting have been free for all this time, it would seem that the current Benefactors (assuming we have enough to cover the $150-$200/month) should be able to cover it. Whatever it takes, we will do it.
  20. Some people don't know better.
  21. Of course not! Someone with only 3 or 4 posts would not dare skirt around the TGO rules in such a manner. How dare you even ask such a question.
  22. WOW! You lucky dog! No snow in my area of Hendersonville. It started snowing a bit on my way home from work, but nothing was sticking. Time for a TGO snow angel party in Tungy's front yard!
  23. I recently received a letter from the BATFE inviting me to a seminar. The purpose of the seminar will be to acquaint us with the most recent firearms regulations, give us an opportunity to ask questions and get to know some of the members of the ATF and other State regulators.....Blah ....Blah....Blah! I found it slightly interesting that firearms will be prohibited at the seminar. Nearly as interesting as firearms being prohibited at an NRA dinner.
  24. It iz no prbolem. Raelly. The eksitmint iz wel dezervd. Again, Congrats!
