This guy stood us up twice. He was supposed to come out last Saturday, but we didn't hear from him until Monday. He had some BS excuse about a death in the family. It was extra aggravating because I was out of town, so I had to have a friend come over and wait for him. He then told me that he'd be out today. Well, you guessed it, he didn't show. I don't have a biometric safe, but I've tried a few, and I've found that safes with an electronic keypad open just as fast, if not faster. I see no advantages to a biometric safe. If you choose a random passcode, the chances of someone gaining access to an electronic safe isn't really that much greater.

I talked to Scott, over at Dan Wesson's warranty shop, and he's telling me that they don't consider the overrun an issue, so they can't/won't do anything about it. That was right before Scott told me that DW had been making efforts to fix the problem. So, is it a problem or not? FWIW, for $55 + shipping, they will remove the extra lines and refinish the frame. I'm not doubting you, but that goes against what Scott, at DW's warranty department told me today. They don't consider it any sort of defect. Again, that was right before he admitted to looking for a fix. A fix for an imaginary problem, I guess.

If my 10mm comes in with the overrun problem, I guess it will be going back to CZ for a different one.

According to the BS answer I got from CZ-USA, that's how they received the frames from the manufacturer. Surely that's not how they intended them to be made, is it? For a $1000 gun, you'd think those overruns wouldn't be acceptable. Especially not when there are other DW's made correctly. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions.

If you have an '08 model DW (semi-auto), is there any overrun marks in the checkering on the front strap? I'm looking at CBOB 10mm's, and some have what appears to be overrun marks instead of a clean start and finish to the checkering.

From what I've read on here, some email clients will not accept notifications from TGO. My Comcast won't allow emails from TGO, but Yahoo and Gmail will.

I agree with you, Bronker. Fact is, in general, people are weak and selfish. Unfortunately, firearms related forums are not immune from people like this. Most people are firmly set in their beliefs, which is perfectly acceptable, but God forbid someone come forward with a different point of view. They always believe everybody else should conform to their way of thinking. Unfortunately, too many people have given in to their cries, and that only adds fuel to their fire. Religious folks and/or those with power tend to be the worst.

I have ordered 2 Benchmade knives that were on backorder. On both occasions, I don't think it took longer than 3 weeks. They were good folks to deal with, IMHO.
