  1. Congrats! I picked up a DW CBOB 10mm. I haven't had the chance to take it to the range, but I love it so far.
  2. Well, of course I find one after posting this. http://www.ladiesguncases.com/Scoped-Rifle-Case-with-Accessory-Pack-Nylon-p-16155.html If you know of others, please don't hesitate to let me know.
  3. Anyone know where I can find a rink rifle case (prefer soft)? The cases made for the Cricket/Chipmunk .22's will not work. The case would need to be at least 38" and hold a scoped Ruger 10/22. Thanks in advance.
  4. There was a vendor with a bone stock (nothing special) Bushy for $1850.:screwy:
  5. http://georgia-arms.com/
  6. Congrats! You mean G&L let you get out the door without buying a CCW?
  7. There was a private buyer who was bickering with a private seller over the price of his $700 WASR-10. The buyer was claiming it was a great deal, because a vendor was selling his for $750. The private seller said, "mine ain't got no damn paper trail either, so Obama ain't gonna know you got it".
  8. Just got back from the show. Per usual, more overpriced stuff than you can shake a stick at. TONS of visitors. I ended up leaving with a new soft case for my AR. The price of admission was worth every penny just to find out that my daughter would rather have a black 10/22, instead of the stainless. I guess her and I don't share the same taste in 10/22's. Now I'm on the hunt.
  9. I just left the gunshow, and the few 10/22's were overpriced. There were a few pink ones, but none with a thimbhole stock. The regular size (one I'm looking for) were $320+ tax/tics. You can easily find them cheaper. I'm glad I took my daughter along, because I found out that she likes the black 10/22 better than the stainless. That will save me a few bucks. I've decided to buy the cheapest black 10/22 I can find, then order me a pink thumbhole stock. That seems to be the best/cheapest route.
  10. I'm in the market for a 10/22 for my 9 year old daughter, too. As someone mentioned in a previous post, Guns For America has a couple 10/22's with a pink stock. The stainless (the one I want to get her) was priced at $299.00. I'm gonna look around the gun show today. Maybe I can find a deal on a stainless model. I want to get her a pink stock, but I'd like to find a thumbhole version.
  11. Well, she's 9. That should save me a few bucks. Thanks for the info. I should be there about 12:30.
  12. I was interested, but that was until they said "hunting shotgun" in the video.
  13. No worries! Once I get there, you'll no longer be the only fat guy in the building. I'm gonna bring my daughter this time. Does anyone know if they charge full price for children?
  14. I may head out that way. I have nothing better to do.
  15. Yea, I've been trying for two days. No go.
  16. Howdy, neighbor. Maybe you, Angus, and I can get together for a trip to Guns & Leather. I'm sure there are a few more Hendersonvillians on TGO, but I can't thinnk of any at the moment. I have a new CBOB 10mm that I'm really itching to shoot.
  17. I'd suggest somewhere other than Nashville. I live in Hendersonville, but took care of all mine in Shelbyville. Less than 10 minutes and I was done. Of course, I was working, and just so happened to be in that area. I'm not sure I'd make that drive to save time, but knowing how slow the DMV's are in Nashville, you'd probably be faster by making such a trip.
  18. +1 If money is a concern, buying used is always an option. There are TONS of very nice used guns out there. Whatever you do, new or used, shop smart. Congrats and enjoy. Keep us posted.
  19. Threads like this always remind me why I have no desire to be married. Congrats on the big "D", man!

  21. Been there. Someone used my debit card to pay about $600 worth of Cingular cell phone bills. Bank of America was also nice enough to immediately credit my acount. Glad it turned out fairly well for you.
  22. Mmmmmm....Carl's Jr.
  23. Welcome to TGO! Enjoy your stay!
  24. I'm really sorry to hear about that, Tim. I have much respect for anyone who's willing to take such a chance by speaking their mind. Unfortunately, the Internet is full of spineless jellyfish that attempt to pass themselves off as men. You are twice (probably more) the man.
  25. Although you may not have the best job, be thankful for the one you do have. If it were me, I'd stay right where you're at. Trust me, you're not the only one to miss out on a raise, and many of us will likely miss out on another raise this year. I don't like the fact that I won't see any extra money for a year or three, but I'm more than thankful to see any money at all. With all the people losing their jobs, unable to find another one, I'd be scared to death to make such a move right now. Just because your brother-in-laws company seems to be doing well today, that's hardly any guarantee it will be doing well tomorrow. Just think about all the people who leave their job one day, thinking everything is fine and dandy, only to show up the next day to find chains on the doors. Count your blessings, my friend. Best of luck with whatever decision you make.
