  1. Thanks for the offer, Mud! I may take you up on that offer. My Friday route covers the Winchester area, but as slow as we've been, I'm not sure if I'll get down there for sure. I'll have to check Joe's site to see if any are pictured, so I can get an idea of what he has to offer. I'll keep your offer in mind. Thanks again!
  2. I know she REALLY wants one, but I'm not sure how long she'll stay interested in it. If she lasts long enough, I'll start to modify it for her. If she loses interest, I'll be able to start my very own Ultimate 10/22 build. I've really been wanting to start a build of my own, but I'd rather her take a serious interest in shooting. I can always build one later.
  3. Kinda-sorta. The camera flash makes it appears a little brighter than it really is. It's undoubtedly PINK.
  4. Well, that depends on when you ask her. She's not real happy with me right now. Cleaning her room is not what she would call "fun".
  5. A pink one that will hold a scoped 37" rifle should do. Hopefully my route will bring me to your area sometime before the 18th of next month.
  6. Yea, I was just there. They did have a black w/ pink trim and a camo w/pink trim. I think they were $19.99 and $24.99. I was able to find an all pink camo case on that site I mentioned above, but after shipping it's gonna be about $45. I may just go with one from Academy.
  7. I'd bet it's the brake line, or the pins are sticking. Unless you plan on driving the truck for 20+ years, I don't think there's any reason to spend the extra money on metal brake lines. Make sure your pins are greased up real good. Of course, make sure you bleed the brakes really well.
  8. Look at my pretty pink Ruger 10/22. Actually, it's my daughters birthday present. I picked it up at Academy Sports + Outdoors. It was priced at $239.99, but because it was the display model, they gave me a 10% discount. Not that there was anything wrong with it, but I had to ask. It came with a Houge overmolded (rubber, not plastic) stock, and I actually like it better than the wood version. I also had them install and boresight (install and boresighting was free of charge) a Bushnell Sharp Shooter 3-9 x 40mm scope. It's not the best of scopes, but it should serve the purpose for her. I hope she's half as excited as I am.
  9. Number 1 Choice - Cold Steel Recon Number 2 Choice - Cold Steel Gunsite II IMHO, the Tanto blade and serrated blade is the only way to go.
  10. Congrats! I picked up a DW CBOB 10mm. I haven't had the chance to take it to the range, but I love it so far.
  11. Well, of course I find one after posting this. http://www.ladiesguncases.com/Scoped-Rifle-Case-with-Accessory-Pack-Nylon-p-16155.html If you know of others, please don't hesitate to let me know.
  12. Anyone know where I can find a rink rifle case (prefer soft)? The cases made for the Cricket/Chipmunk .22's will not work. The case would need to be at least 38" and hold a scoped Ruger 10/22. Thanks in advance.
  13. There was a vendor with a bone stock (nothing special) Bushy for $1850.:screwy:
  14. http://georgia-arms.com/
  15. Congrats! You mean G&L let you get out the door without buying a CCW?
  16. There was a private buyer who was bickering with a private seller over the price of his $700 WASR-10. The buyer was claiming it was a great deal, because a vendor was selling his for $750. The private seller said, "mine ain't got no damn paper trail either, so Obama ain't gonna know you got it".
  17. Just got back from the show. Per usual, more overpriced stuff than you can shake a stick at. TONS of visitors. I ended up leaving with a new soft case for my AR. The price of admission was worth every penny just to find out that my daughter would rather have a black 10/22, instead of the stainless. I guess her and I don't share the same taste in 10/22's. Now I'm on the hunt.
  18. I just left the gunshow, and the few 10/22's were overpriced. There were a few pink ones, but none with a thimbhole stock. The regular size (one I'm looking for) were $320+ tax/tics. You can easily find them cheaper. I'm glad I took my daughter along, because I found out that she likes the black 10/22 better than the stainless. That will save me a few bucks. I've decided to buy the cheapest black 10/22 I can find, then order me a pink thumbhole stock. That seems to be the best/cheapest route.
  19. I'm in the market for a 10/22 for my 9 year old daughter, too. As someone mentioned in a previous post, Guns For America has a couple 10/22's with a pink stock. The stainless (the one I want to get her) was priced at $299.00. I'm gonna look around the gun show today. Maybe I can find a deal on a stainless model. I want to get her a pink stock, but I'd like to find a thumbhole version.
  20. Well, she's 9. That should save me a few bucks. Thanks for the info. I should be there about 12:30.
  21. I was interested, but that was until they said "hunting shotgun" in the video.
  22. No worries! Once I get there, you'll no longer be the only fat guy in the building. I'm gonna bring my daughter this time. Does anyone know if they charge full price for children?
  23. I may head out that way. I have nothing better to do.
  24. Yea, I've been trying for two days. No go.
