  5. Same problem here. Only on TGO.
  6. Well, I'm with him on half of this agenda. I'm Pro Choice.

  8. Welcome to TGO! Enjoy your stay!
  9. Thanks again for the info. Very helpful!
  10. Welcome to TGO, Troy! Enjoy your stay!
  11. Thanks for that! Is TICS used for anything other than background checks of gun buyers?
  12. Congrats, Old Man! Your first Grandbaby?
  13. Does anyone know roughly how many licensed firearms dealers are in the state of Tennessee. And how about the number of background checks (Tennessee only) are done each day/year?
  14. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of this model, compared to others in it's price range? What do you know about it?
  15. That sounds like a pretty good deal, but yea, that's probably far too heavy for a second floor apartment. Too heavy for me to drag up the flight of stairs.
  16. I have no real personal experience with these sights on an AK, but a friend of mine had the XS Tritium Stripe installed on his AK. He loves it. He's now thinking about having the Big Dot installed on his other AK.
  17. I have to respectfully disagree with the previous posters. I think it's an issue he will get to fairly quickly. The final decision may not come for some time, but I don't think he'll wait all that long to get the ball rolling.
  18. I'm in the market for a safe, and I saw this one at Academy while I was shopping today. SENTRY 14-GUN SAFE $359.99 Item#: 15875503 Style#: G4311 SKU: 0340-03031-4311 Solid steel, pry-resistant door Five steel live-locking bolts, concealed hinges 14-gun capacity LED Electronic lock with lever handle I live in a 2nd floor apartment, so the safe can't be too heavy. I think this one weighs in at about 230-240#, which is just about right. From what I've been able to find, the price is pretty good, too. Anyone noticed any deals in the recent past?
  19. Taxidermist! He could have been around for a long, long time. Seriously, what a beauty. That's a real shame. Is that a bath towel? If so, that thing is huge!
  20. I guess it really depends on what you plan on using the AR for. I figured that I probably wouldn't be doing much shooting over 100 yards, so I went with the EOTech 511.A65/1 (shorter model). Plus, it's small enough to place a rear BUIS behind it, without moving the optic too far onto the handgaurd. On top of all that, I wasn't interested in spending the big money on some of the other more expensive options. I didn't care for the ACOG at all. In the slight chance that I find myself wanting to shoot much more than 100 yards, I always have the option of buying a magnifier. The magnifier simply magnifies the view through your optic. You're basically looking through the magnifier and the optic at the same time.
  21. Lights are overrated. Hand signals are where it's at.
  22. WOW! Just reading your story raised my blood pressure through the roof and got my heart thumping. That DID sound like a rush. Congrats and welcome to TGO. Enjoy your stay!
