I know someone who was for a bogus 9 year old aggravated assault warrant. He was never convicted. Thrown out of court. He'd been ticketed for speeding on a few occasions over those 9 years, and he also had to go through a background check for a government job. The warrant never showed up anywhere. So, who knows why this stuff gets overlooked for so many years, only to come back and bite you in the a$$ several years down the road.

I'm not sure how long it's been, but the expungement process can take several months. First, the TBI must expunge the offense from your record, then it gets passed on to the FBI for the same thing. They get in no hurry. Were you actually convicted of DV, or are they simply expunging the charge/arrest? If you were only charged/arrested for DV, this should be a fairly simple fix. If you were actually convicted, you will likely never be able to own a firearm in the future.

I did some looking around, and it looks like you can buy an online edition. I'm not sure if it would be any easier, but it may be better than flipping through all those pages.

Which is exactly why we can't expect to pay our $35/year and forget about it. If now isn't the time to be all up in the face of our representatives, there never will be a time. We have to make ourselves heard. I know it's much easier to moan about it on an internet forum, but that's hardly going to get anything accomplished.

This seems to be the main gripe that folks have with the NRA. Many believe that the NRA, like the unions, is only in it for the money. It's not difficult to see why some people think along these lines. If the average pro-2A supporter (including myself) would get more involved in 2A matters, we wouldn't have to depend on the NRA (or any other organizations) to do all, or any of the fighting for us. Simply paying $35/year and forgetting about it isn't the answer. We must be more proactive.

I ended up getting a pink case from Hero Gear. It wasn't exactly what I was looking for, but it will serve the purpose for the time being. She will love it.

I'm not sure how that stuff is made, but it's like a loaded baked tater (with bacon, yes) that's been run through a mixer. YUMMY! Best if served closer to room temp.
