  1. I live in a second floor apartment, and I just got one of these. I am more than happy with the purchase. It weighs about 200 pounds, so it's big/heavy enough that someone isn't going to simply walk away with it, but it's not too big to get up the stairs. I'm a pretty big/strong guy, and I was able to use an appliance do get it up stairs by myself. Yes, I did stuggle a little, but it wasn't too bad. http://www.academy.com/index.php?page=content&target=products/outdoors/hunting/firearm_safes&start=8&selectedSKU=0340-03031-4311
  2. Maybe someone can confirm this, but one of my customers (also a M'boro Fireman) told me that the Barrett family (yes, the Barrett rifle) owns and runs the Outpost.
  3. Texaco Outpost (615) 848-5060 5435 Miller Ln, Christiana, TN That's exit 89 on I-24 I just called, and the girl said that she thinks they will open at 8:00am. Heck, I may take off work for that Grand Opening.
  4. Nope. Not TFO hats at Hero Gear. They may have TGO hats, though.
  5. Grand Opening SALE? Any idea what time the gun store opens?
  6. I know this doesn't fit into your criteria, but because they are so awesome, I thought I'd share them. My boss has one on his 870, and it seems quite nice. On one side of the forend, there is a built-in on/off switch, and the other side has a built-in pressure switch. Not cheap, though http://www.surefire.com/Mossberg590500 The ones already mentioned are good, if you're looking for the cheaper route. There are many companies that make/sell similar products.

  9. Beat me to it. And you know someone WILL buy it. As soon as they "check their local and state laws before purchasing", of course.
  10. There is too much info to bring over, so feel free to check it out HERE. You can see more differences between the two.
  11. I guess this will add to the delay on getting those already hard to get (at realistic prices) PMAGS. Not sure how long this change will take, but it can't help things move any faster. This was taken from Sig Forum. There are a bunch of threads on other boards talking about the differences between the "M" PMAG, and the original version. I don't look at there being a large difference between them in term of actual functionality, but a few differences were done in the new molds. The below images should show you how to quickly tell what you are looking at. First, here is a picture showing the different PMAGs. Starting from the far left, we have the old PMAG, the windowed PMAG, new "M" PMAG, EMAG (export mag), and 20 round PMAG.
  12. That compact is probably a little too small for my hands, but I do like the looks of it. Congrats again.
  13. Congrats on the new M&P, Little Lady! Now post up some darned pictures.

  15. Yet, ANOTHER reason why I have no desire to ever live in that state again.

  17. In related news; <TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=newsHead1 align=middle>Federal Court Sides With NRA and Workers</TD></TR><TR><TD></TD></TR><TR><TD class=copy>Friday, February 20, 2009</TD></TR><TR><TD></TD></TR><TR><TD class=copy>This week, a three-judge panel of the U.S. Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled unanimously in support of an Oklahoma law allowing employees to store legally owned firearms in locked, private motor vehicles while parked in employer parking lots. This decision upholds NRA-backed legislation passed in 2004. "This is a victory for the millions of American workers who have been denied the right to protect themselves while commuting between their homes and their workplace," said NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre. "Their effort to overturn the law was aimed at skirting the will of the American people, and the intent of legislatures across this country while eviscerating Right-to-Carry laws. This ruling is a slap at the corporate elitists who have no regard for the constitutional rights of law abiding American workers." In March 2004, the Oklahoma legislature passed an amendment holding employers criminally liable for prohibiting employees from storing their legally owned firearms in locked vehicles on company property. A number of corporations subsequently filed suit in opposition to the new laws, alleging they were unconstitutionally vague; an unconstitutional taking of private property; and preempted by various federal statutes. The lower court ruled in favor of the injunction. "This issue was contrived by the gun control lobby who goaded corporations into doing their dirty work for them," said NRA-ILA Executive Director Chris W. Cox. "However, this ruling is a vindication for every hardworking and lawful man and woman whose basic right to self-defense was taken away on a whim by corporate lawyers. NRA is prepared to defend this right and to ensure the safety of every American worker." In October 2008, Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry (D) and Attorney General Drew Edmondson appealed the lower court decision to strike down the NRA-backed worker protection laws to the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. This week's opinion, handed down by Circuit Judges Paul J. Kelly, Bobby R. Baldock, and Michael W. McConnell, reversed the lower court's grant of a permanent injunction. </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
  18. Thanks for the report. Was the testing done about 50 yards or so? I got some CCI Mini-Mag HP for my daughter to use while breaking in her 10/22. I hope they work well.
  19. Hey, stop confusing us with statements that actually make sense.
  20. Mine seems to be working fine.
