  1. No snow in Hendersonville. I wouldn't mind seeing some.
  2. Yes, the prices are a bit irritating, but the prices weren't the point of my post. I was talking more about the scary phrases that some folks are placing into their ads.
  3. I've ordered some 5.56 from them, and the price/service/transaction was as smooth as one could expect. Not much experience with them, but I was very pleased.
  4. Now I feel bad. I was listening to Paul Harvey do his segment yesterday, and I noticed that he did half the segment, and his son finished the second half. I thought to myself, "his days are numbered". There was a time when I had his schedule memorized. I would switch stations just to hear him do “News & Comment” and “Rest of the Story”. He will be missed. RIP
  5. See....I knew it was a hobby. My girlfriend keeps referring to it as something different. I don't know, something carzy. It's something called an "obsession".
  6. The price will go up. Way up.
  7. You may get better/faster results if you post some pictures.
  8. My girlfriend works for a company that makes mattresses. I hadn't thought about it, but I'm sure she can get some from work. Maybe for nothing. What are the dimensions needed?

    GSR

Well, that GSR sure is purdy and all, but she ain't no P220 Elite Stainless. Please don't show me any more pictures. I have one more gun (Marine Magnum) on my wish list, then I'm gonna have to stop buying guns for a few or ten years.
  10. I don't know why, but I get slightly aggravated at these people who are using the fear of a possible/likely ban as a sale tactic/pitch. I've noticed some gun ads - even on some firearms related websites - where the seller is actually using lines like "You better buy it today, because Obama is banning them tomorrow" and "This will be your last chance, because this ban will be permanent". I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I find it very irritating.
  11. First of all, I'm an XD (mainly XD40) fan. It's been the perfect carry piece for me. Now, that doesn't mean it will fit you the same. It's all about what YOU are comfortable with. What fits YOU the best. Glock and M&P are fine choices, but only if they fit YOU. I would suggest finding a range that rents firearms. That way you'll get a real feel for how YOU and the firearm work together. Then decide which is best. Happy hunting.
  12. Thanks, guys! You got it. I haven't forgotten about you. I now have about 6 or 7 guns that I haven't had the chance to shoot since I purchased them. Yes, the AR is still one of them. Yea, it's too bulky for me to carry. I have one gun for carry purposes, and that's the XD40. Everything else, well, I bought them for no other reason than I wanted them. I may have to buy a few more XD40's, because I'm not sure I can carry anything else. It's a perfect fit for me.
  13. I've been searching for what seems like forever. Finally found her. I found this Brand Spankin' New P220 Elite Stainless. Got a sweet deal from a private vendor at the show.
  14. I got it off a vendor, but it was from his private collection. Not taxes or TICS. I'm very happy.
  15. You can always compare prices at Gunbroker.com, GunsAmerica.com, etc. You can also buy a subscription to https://store.bluebookinc.com/home/default.aspx
  16. Yes, there was a vendor with 5 or 6 LCP's. When you walk in the door, he/they were all the way towards the back wall. Not against the wall, but facing the back wall. They were $339, IIRC. BTW, I'm not sure, but the LCP's may not have been sent back for the recall. I saw a guy buy one, and a few minutes later another vendor was telling him that he didn;t think they had been fixed yet. I don't know for sure, just what I heard.
  17. Speaking of beef jerky, there was a vendor who damn near tackled me to the floor, just so I'd taste his beef jerky. He quickly backed away once he noticed this in my hands. That's Right! I found this Brand Spankin' New P220 Elite Stainless. Got a sweet deal from a private vendor at the show.
  18. Welcome to TGO! Enjoy your stay!
  19. Rise and Shine! I was gonna sleep in for a bit, but my normal schedule hardly allows me that pleasure. So, I guess I'm gonna try to be there when the doors open.
  20. No, that's a fact. I know of one person who got a visit. He wasn't "flipping" guns, but he does have a VERY large collection (most he's had for years) that he was trying to sell off to pay for doctor bills. I know he's still selling on LSN, but has dropped it down several notches. He was never charged with anything. I did hear of another person or two getting similar visits, but don't know for a fact. The rumor was/is, the local gun shop was getting upset with all the business he's been losing to LSN. Again, a rumor that I have no proof.
  21. Congrats!
  22. WOW! She's a keeper! I had to buy my own. What caliber is that DW CBOB?
  23. LSN isn't that bad. You just have to be aware of your surroundings. I've only had one issue with LSN, and that was a recent dealing with a fellow from Kingston. I was supposed to meet him to buy a Marine Magnum, but he stood me up, and didn't answer my calls or emails. Other than that, I've had pretty good luck. The worst part of LSN is the crazy prices that pop-up all the time. Weed through those, and it's not all that bad. Just remember, you're dealing with the Internet.
  24. He already stated in at least one of his posts (IIRC) that he had his home and cell phone number in the ad. I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to find out a location with those phone numbers. Especially if the home number. If it's listed, his home address is attached. It's the Internet. You can find just about anyone, with very little information.
  25. Is Daniel playing an old Fender Jaguar? By the way, you don't look too fat from the other side of the stage.
