  1. This is probably a longshot, but what the heck. I lost a .GIF that I liked, and I'm hoping someone else has it. It's generally used when someone attempts to post a picture in the thread, but the photo doesn't work. I know I've used it here, so maybe someone saved it. The .GIF is of a guy walking under a red X, then it walls on his head. Anyone have that one?
  2. Although I totally disagree, I have all the respect in the world for your opinion. We will simply have to agree to disagree.
  3. Since some people have used firearms to commit crimes, I will send your local LEO's over to collect all firearms in your possession. I don't think you should own them, because you will inevitably become a criminal while using a firearm.
  4. In that case, I guess it's perfectly acceptable to punish law abiding citizens for the actions of those who have a problem obeying the law.
  5. I don't, but thought I'd pass something on. I guess it couldn't hurt to run a check anyway, but I had a salesman at Carmax tell me that Carfax reports were not that reliable in Tennessee (and other states), because the state doesn't require such information to be reported for record keeping. This may or may not be true, but I thought it was interesting. Maybe our local carsalesman, MagicCarpetRides can give us a little insight.
  6. With all due respect, I have to disagree with just about everything you've just said here. But I would like to make one thing clear. Based on your post you may be slightly misinformed. Passing a law that would allow HCP holders to carry in bars, is in no way a license to drink while carrying your firearm into a bar. Just like it has always been, it is and will continue to be against the law for a person to be intoxicated while in the possession of a firearm.
  7. Substitute that beef for some old fashion salmon patties, and you got yourself one fine feast. But, then you'll have to cook up some corn bread to go with it.
  8. Police officer appeals suspension after crash | floridatoday.com | FLORIDA TODAY A Melbourne police officer is appealing a decision to suspend him for 80 hours without pay for an incident in November, in which he crashed his patrol car into a stop sign and did not report it to his superiors, officials said. Melbourne's city manager will examine the appeal. The officer, John Pasko, remains on duty until a decision is reached. Documents show that Pasko crashed his patrol car into a stop sign on Riverview Drive in Palm Bay on Nov. 14 and did not report the accident. The car sustained dents and damage on the driver's side. Video from the dash-camera shows Pasko examining the damage to the car after he hit the stop sign. But he later told a nurse that he had no recollection of the incident, records show. The officer was not wearing his duty belt or carrying his department-issued firearm at the time of the incident. The video also shows Pasko going through a red light and driving his car on the sidewalk. Other drivers also called police to say that they had seen a Melbourne patrol car driving erratically. The investigation also quoted other police officers, who said that Pasko appeared dazed and impaired. "Those issues -- they have been cleared by our medical doctor," Melbourne Police Cmdr. Ron Bell said Wednesday. There is no other explanation for the erratic driving in the investigation documents. Pasko, who is 45, has been reprimanded at least three times in the past. His violations have resulted in the police department asking him to operate official vehicles carefully and obey orders. An incident in January 2008 resulted in Pasko being issued a reprimand for "intoxicants and substances that impair ability." Pasko was disciplined and received counseling in 2004 and 2005, once for off-street parking and once for failing to use personal responsibility for department property. Pasko has been with Melbourne Police Department since 1992, according to Bell. In 1995, Pasko was accused by a Brevard County judge of giving contradictory and inconsistent trial testimony. But Pasko was cleared on any wrongdoing in an investigation by Melbourne police. 27 strikes...You're Out!.................Wait....we'll give you another chance.
  9. It's OK, let it go.
  10. That was great. Thanks for sharing.
  11. It was a smartass post where I was referring to post made in a different thread. Yes, it was on purpose. I quickly searched for the actual article to go along with the video, but didn't find it. Without question, this LEO should be fired.
  12. It's a tragedy...let it go.

    wow.

Thanks! I walked 2 miles today. I walked 1 mile at about 8:00 this morning, and another at about 4:00 this afternoon. My neighbor and friend is nice enough to let me borrow her dog for the walks. He makes a great walking buddy.
  14. Never been a big fan of those type of show, but I can tell you that I don't care for Jay. He is as fake as they come. Even Carson didn't like Jay, and didn't feel he should have gotten the job. Carson was a much bigger fan of Dave's, and that means a lot, IMHO.
  15. You always have the greatest ideas. I'll be waiting. BTW, I call dibs on the Ruger & Wesson
  16. TripleDigitRide

    wow.

Thanks for the kind words and encouragement. I walked another 1 1/2 miles today.
  17. Looks like he's gettin' ready to lay a big smooch on his little fishy friend.
  18. That Brian, he's one bad a$$ fisherman. Congrats on slayin' the big'uns. I really need to get out to do some fishin', too.
  19. I hope it's OK to wet your pants while reading that review.
  20. Not that I've had many, but I've been fortunate enough to have had only one bad experience with an LEO, and that was only a bogus speeding ticket. I'll be the first to admit, I was steaming over it at the time, but in the grand scheme of things it was hardly a big deal. Having a few LEO's as close family members doesn't hurt either. Well, maybe it does a little, because I sometimes get some real insight to things that most people don't, or wouldn't want to hear about. On the other hand, I've heard many very scary stories about how someones life was turned upside down due to a bad experience with LEO's and/or our Justice System. I know that LEO's and the Justice System are not one-in-the-same, but more often than not (I think), they kinda go hand-in-hand. Unfortunatly, like David said, these stories tend to get the most press. Weather these types of stories get more press than real heart-warming LEO stories, the not- so-pleasant stories are stories nonetheless. Not only that, but they are very real stories. Very scary stories of how someones life was unnecessarily ruined because of an [insert your favorite adjective here] LEO. It should not be a big surprise that there are so many people who are suspicious of LEO's in general. Again, it's a shame, but very much a reality. Being a truck drive, I'm well aware of stereotypes connected to your profession. I can't tell you how many times I've heard that all truck drivers are uneducated, wife beatin, whore chasin', drug addicted alcoholics. There's actually an endless list, but you get the point. None of which are true where I'm concerned, and certainly not true of many other truck drivers I know. Unfortunately, it's just something we have to deal with, because there are so many that fit right into that stereotypical opinion of what many consider truck drivers to be. Not to take away from the risk LEO's encounter while on the job, but I have yet to see one legitimate study showing that being an LEO is more dangerous than being a truck driver. Every study/article I've read ranks truck driving as being more dangerous. I think that deserves a No Truck Driver Bashing policy on TGO.
  21. With such heart-warming stories like this, I can't fathom how anyone could be suspect of the integrity of any LEO until proven otherwise. It may be a shame that many people feel that way, but with the potential for so much being at stake during an encounter with an LEO, how can anyone blame them.
  22. TripleDigitRide

    wow.

Thanks! Oh, it's gonna be a while. I'm 6'3 and about 475. I'm not sure I'll be up for running anytime in the near future. Rightwinger would definitely know if I began and such venture.
  23. TripleDigitRide

    wow.

    I walked another mile today.
