  1. Welcome to nearly a week ago. Dr. Michael Baden, the very famous forensic pathologist, was hired by the Carradine family investigate whether another person could have been involved in the death. The family is in denial, and refuses to admit ol' Hung Fu was involved in these ultra-kinky shenanigans. They were/are hoping Dr. Baden will come to a different conclusion about what actually happened. Multiple have already reported that Baden has already concluded that what we've already heard is true. The guy is dead because he was into Autoerotic Asphyxiation. So, I doubt the plot is about to thicken much more than it already has. Seems as if the family is going to be the last to come face the facts.
  2. Yea, that does looks great. Very nice work.
  3. Looks pretty darn good. Can't wait to see the finished product.
  4. Yea, but not as often as I did at first. I'm still on level 12. Get my butt kicked way more than I win.
  5. They usually ship pretty quick. I live in Nashville, and IIRC, it took 1-2 days to get mine from Buds. Congrats!
  6. Congrats! You are one licky sonofagun. Please do not buy any Powerball tickets. Well, unless you plan on hookin a brotha up.
  7. I had a DW Bobtail in 10mm for a short time. The 50 rounds down the pipe were flawless. I LOVED that thing. I really hated to get rid of it, but this damn motorcycle project was demanding to be fed more cash. I will have another one sooner or later.
  8. Congrats on the HCP!
  9. Very good advice. And you are right, "diets" do not work. Not for the long-term anyway. That's why I'm trying to design a plan that I can stick with. More of a lifestyle change. I'm sure I'll tweak things along the way, but I'm feeling much better so far. I have a LONG way to go, and it's not going to be easy. But I'm really trying my damndest to stick with this.
  10. Welcome to TGO! Enjoy your stay!
  11. I know this walk is going to be a warm one. I'm trying to hold off until 6:00. Maybe the temp will drop 30 degrees by then.
  12. Yes, but the Pre doesn't. The video capabilities of the iPhone is a nice touch that I wish Palm would have incorporated into the Pre, but because I hardly use that feature with my Treo, I'm not sure that's much of a determining factor for me.
  13. I'm in a real debate with myself right now. My Sprint contract is due to end in the next couple months, and I'm trying to choose between the iPhone with AT&T and the new Palm Pre from Sprint. I've been with Sprint/Nextel for years, and I honestly have no issues with their service. I NEVER have problems. I currently have the Simply Everything plan with Sprint. My total bill is $111.XX every month. I have unlimited everything. Minutes, data, text, everything is unlimited. I recently contacted AT&T about their rates for the iPhone, and they told me that my total bill would closer to $160-$170 for a similar plan. Not sure the iphone is really worth all that. As of now, after taking some time to compare the iPhone vs the Palm Pre, I like the Pre slightly better. I really like the idea of the Linux-based operating system, "webOS". The QWERTY keyboard is a big plus with me also. Of course, running multiple applications simultaneously is also great. The Pre's webOS is also designed to integrate all your web data from multiple sources into a single interface without being synched. No ability to record video is a real disappointment. Just my 2 cents.
  14. Applebees? There must be a large number of folks who really enjoy crappy food, because I honestly have no idea how that place stays in business.
  15. I know I'm way late to the game, but this movie just came out at the local Redbox. Just watched it, and it was great.
  16. Accoding to their website and Customer Service Reps, yep, that's exactly how it will work.
  17. You will get a receipt of sorts when you actually purchase the tickets online, but that receipt will not allow you access to the concert. Swiping your credit card at the venue and showing ID is the only way to get in. Even if you show up with only the receipt, you will be turned away. The actual credit card and ID is a MUST.
  18. Nope, no ticket to print. They are doing things this way to prevent ticket scalping. You MUST show up at the show with the same credit card you used to purchase the tickets through Ticketmaster, and you must also have a photo I.D. This will make it nearly impossible for people to resell tickets for inflated prices.
  19. I was told that I didn't have to register until AFTER I was caught. Actually, the tickets would be as a gift to my friends daughter for her birthday, and my daughter just because she is my precious little girl. And, NO, I will not be attending. A female friend will be the chaperone.
  20. Yea, that's the general idea. They are calling it Paperless Tickets. Yes, sounds very similar to Will Call. I've been involved in a Will Call, but never along with 15,000 other concert goers doing the very same thing.
  21. Has anyone been to an event with Paperless Tickets? I was going to buy a couple tickets for the Miley Cyrus concert, but am a little curious about this paperless thing. As far as I know, the Sommet Center has a max capacity of about 17,500 +/-, but based on where the stage will be located, they may not be selling quite that many tickets. Nevertheless, there's going to be a TON of people attending the show. The way I understand it is, you purchase (assuming I can even get my daughter a ticket) your tickets online, and you must present your credit card and Government issued I.D. at the door. This is what I have a problem understaning. I know how unbearably long it can take while waiting in line for just 5 or 6 folks to swipe their credit/debit cards at the local Quick Mart, so I can't imagine how long it will take for all these folks to swipe their cards. Based on the fact that you are only allowed to purchase 4 tickets per household, that's a minimum of at least 4,000 people who have to swipe their cards. In reality, the number will likely be closer to 6,000-7,000 card swipers. And God forbid anyone have an issue while swiping their cards. This process is probably going to take all darn day. So, anyone been through something like this?
  22. I tried the rabbit food route a couple times, but that will only work for so long. I do enjoy a good salad, but you have to mix things up a bit. Been there, and you can get burnt out very quickly if you attempt to eat the same things all the time. Luckily, water has never been an issue with me, and dining out is about the only time I would drink cola products. Milk was a major downfall for me. I could easily drink a gallon every two days. I cut way back on that. Now it's 1 glass per day, and maybe a bowl of cereal. Remember, it's got to be long term, and you'll likely trip along the way. Just can't let that discourage you from reaching your goal. Eating bad one or two days per week may not be the best, but it's far better than eating bad every day of the week. That is something I have to keep telling myself. Messing up from time to time is something you have to live with. It's going to happen. In the past, I would have a day or two where I really fell off the wagon, but instead of say to hell with it, jump back on right where you left off. You can do it, man. Getting motivated to get the ball rolling is the roughest part. Find something that works for YOU. There are several different routes you can take, but not all of them will work for YOU. Take advice from anyone who's willing to give it, and make a plan that works well for you.
  23. Oh My! He is one of the funniest guys, ever. Maybe it's because I can relate. I've been doing pretty good. With the exception of the crappy (in every sense of the word) pizza we tried yesterday, I've been eating pretty good. Much better than I had been anyway. I've tried every "diet" known to man, but I'm trying to think more long-term. You can't simply give up everything you like, because that will make the whole process miserable. Plus, it's too much of a shock to your system, and makes it much easier to fall back into your old ways. Well, at least that's the way I see it. I've been eating Subway on a regular basis. I stay away from the footlong's, cheese and too much mayo. I'll still stop at fast food joints, but stay away from red meat, fries and cokes. Just a grilled chicken or fish sandwich. No, it's not the healthiest of choices in the world, but it's good, and it's a huge cutback for me. Many restaurants have pretty big fish and/or chicken sandwiches. Eat one of those and chug a glass/bottle of water, and you'd be surprised how filling it can be. I've also forced myself not to allow myself to reach the point where I feel like I'm starving. Being a truck driver where I find myself in some out-of-the-way areas for quite a long time, I often stuffed myself when I was finally able to find a place to eat. That was one of my biggest problems. Of course, packing a lunch would easily solve that problem. Just haven't gotten to that point yet. Walking on a daily basis has probably been the biggest help and motivator so far. First of all, walking at least 1 mile per day gets my fat a$$ some much needed exercise. On top of that, when I feel like eating unhealthy foods, I just remember all the walking I've done. Do I really wanna throw all that walking down the drain for a quick "fix"? Heck no. Even though the walking is getting a little easier as time goes on, dragging around 480ish pounds for 1+ miles is no easy task. That's especially true when it's 80+ degrees outside. Now, to the pizza I just couldn't resist. I think you have to indulge in some of your favorite unhealthy foods once in a while. Just know that eating an entire medium/large pizza in one sitting is probably on the extreme side. Yes, I could easily eat an entire medium pizza, and on a good day, I could choke down a large. Yesterday, I was happy with 3 1/2 pieces. Even though it was nasty, I was feeling pretty full. Anyway, I am far from an expert on the matter, but I'm trying to find something that's much better than what I was doing and something I can live with in the long term. I'm sure I'll find ways to tweak things as I go along, but I'm happy with my progress so far.
