  1. The girlfriend and I just got back from seeing Brüno. Sacha Baron Cohen has done it again. If you enjoyed Borat, chances are you'll enjoy Brüno. If you're a homophobe, it's probably not your cup of tea. It amazes me how he pulls off some of this stuff, but I'm glad he does.
  2. Dispute over flag protest erupts in Wisc. village | Comcast.net WAUSAU, Wis. — An American flag flown upside down as a protest in a northern Wisconsin village was seized by police before a Fourth of July parade and the businessman who flew it — an Iraq war veteran — claims the officers trespassed and stole his property. A day after the parade, police returned the flag and the man's protest — over a liquor license — continued. The American Civil Liberties Union of Wisconsin is considering legal action against the village of Crivitz for violating Vito Congine Jr.'s' First Amendment rights, Executive Director Chris Ahmuty said. "It is not often that you see something this blatant," Ahmuty said. In mid-June, Congine, 46, began flying the flag upside down — an accepted way to signal distress — outside the restaurant he wants to open in Crivitz, a village of about 1,000 people some 65 miles north of Green Bay. He said his distress is likely bankruptcy because the village board refused to grant him a liquor license after he spent nearly $200,000 to buy and remodel a downtown building for an Italian supper club. Congine's upside-down-flag represents distress to him; to others in town, it represents disrespect of the flag. Hours before a Fourth of July parade, four police officers went to Congine's property and removed the flag under the advice of Marinette County District Attorney Allen Brey. Neighbor Steven Klein watched in disbelief. "I said, 'What are you doing?' Klein said. "They said, 'It is none of your business.'" The next day, police returned the flag. Brey declined comment Friday. Marinette County Sheriff Jim Kanikula said it was not illegal to fly the flag upside down but people were upset and it was the Fourth of July. "It is illegal to cause a disruption," he said. The parade went on without any problems, Kanikula said. Village President John Deschane, 60, an Army veteran who served in Vietnam, said many people in town believe it's disrespectful to fly the flag upside down. "If he wants to protest, let him protest but find a different way to do it," Deschane said. Congine, a Marine veteran who served in Iraq in 2004, said he intends to keep flying the flag upside down. "It is pretty bad when I go and fight a tyrannical government somewhere else," Congine said, "and then I come home to find it right here at my front door."
  3. I removed mine from my '93 F-150, and I've had no issues.

  5. Been there, and it's pretty impressive. Moreso if you're into long-guns. They had a decent handgun selection, but nothing even close to the number of rifles and shotguns. That being said, I'm still a fan of Bud's Gun Shop.
  6. This is what I use. Print away. http://www.surplusrifle.com/graphics/boundbookpage.pdf
  7. You can buy a Bound Book for just a few dollars, or a regular notebook will do. Nothing fancy is needed.
  8. Ain't that the truth! Great Post!
  9. There's not enough Cocaine, Heroin, OxyContin, Valium or Meth that would allow me to put myself in such a situation.
  10. Congrats and good luck. I know being in such a situation can be very scary. As a single father who's not received one ounce of government/family assistance (not that I'm looking for it) or child support (that would be a great help), I've been in a simialr situation. Luckily, I have a few things I can sell if I get desperate enough, but it's still a very uneasy feeling. Fact is, most, if not all, TGO members could be in the very same situation when they least expect it. No matter how much money you have today, something crazy can happen, and it can all be gone tomorrow. It's nice to see so many members who were willing and able to help. It really says alot about this group of folks.
  11. Nothing to worry about. If you're breathing you'll pass.

  13. Although those appear to be some nice looking watches, I never understood the desire for a watch that costs several hundered or several thousand dollars.
  14. Correct. Piebald are legal to hunt in TN.
  15. Yep. During one of the press conferences Chief Serpas and/or Don Aaron reported that they were able to locate the original purchaser of the firearm, then track it from there.
  16. The fact that Metro Police were able to locate the original owner of the gun used to kill McNair only proves that guns are in fact registered in one form or another.
  17. One of my customers built granite countertops for at least one of the members. Other than that, I know little about them.
  18. They are rare. I'm guessing that's why it's prohibited. Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - Deer Hunting Seasons Hunting, trapping, or possession of albino deer is prohibited as set forth in TCA Chapter 70-4-130. An albino deer is a deer with a lack, or significant deficiency, of pigment in the skin and hair, and has pink eyes.
  19. I didn't imagine they would, but I was curious if anyone knew for sure.
  20. Are there any of these groups in the Middle Tennessee area?
  21. You didn't open a can of worms. I was just givin' you a hard time. I look my HCP class at Small Arms Training School (S.A.T.S) -- Franklin, Tn (Williamson Co. Sheriff's Department), and there are more than a couple TGO members that are not fans of them either. Don't sweat it. Just get your HCP and be happy.
  22. I understand what you're saying, but how many ways can you tell the same story? Everyone knows whats going on overseas, and after six years it's old news. Plus, the war(s) no longer bring the ratings they're looking for.
