  1. Nope. I wasn't able to attend this time. I was called out of town to help bail out a co-worker in need. There's always next year. With so many people in need during these tough economic times, I feel it's my duty to help as many people as I can, even if that means I do without those extras. I guess that's just how I was raised.
  2. Unfortunately, I was not able to attend the FNRA dinner. As I stated in my original post, I am good for A (one) Benefactor membership to someone who is in need. I wish I could do more, but that is all I'm able to do at this time.
  3. Because if I do that, I wouldn't be able to help others who are in more need than myself. I'm fortunate enough to have a job and the ability to pay my bills, but I also feel the need to help others who are in more need than myself whenever possible. If that means I do without some "extras" myself, so be it.

  6. That's a great idea, IMHO. I hate to see TGO members being forced to sell their beloved firearms simply to make ends meet during these tough economic times. I know we have several TGOers still out of work, and having the ability to sell to other members they can trust would likely help out at least a little. This is especially true with the Holidays right around the corner. I can only imagine, but being out of work during the Holidays would have to be devastating, especially if you're a man with a family to support. I'm not a Benefactor, but if there is a member (singular) who is forced to sell their gun(s) just to make ends meet during the Holiday season, but simply can't afford to pay the Benefactor fee, I will gladly pay it for you. Just doing what little I can.

  8. He's quickly becoming a washed up has been. Wait! He's already there. I guess I can't blame him, though. If someone's willing to fork over millions, I guess I'd take it, too.
  9. Yes, that is the right place. As someone already stated, "He teaches their HCP class Wednesdays and Saturdays."

  13. I wish I could, but I have to work. Thanks for the offer.
  14. I wouldn't sweat it. I've seen some of the people who are allowed to join the military. Most people probably wouldn't give it a second thought.
  15. See you there last year.

  17. You could always buy a very nice Mertic bike for about 1/2 the cost of a Harley and ride with us this season.
  18. +1 Beat me too it!
  19. Nice job! Looks like you're going to have a very nice finished product.
  20. Nope, mine is still doing fine. The baffles for the Vance & Hines exhaust should be here this week, then it's going into the shop for a carb rejeting. It's running a little rich right now, so the baffles are only going to make it run even richer. Sooner or later I'll make my way over to the Dragon, maybe sooner than later. I want to see what the fuss is all about.
  21. I just took a ride down part of Natchez Trace Parkway for the first time. We got on the Parkway at Hwy 100, and cruised about 50 miles South before turning around. Man, that is a nice little ride. Beautiful scenery, and almost no traffic. We saw several other motorcycles and bicyclists, but almost no four-wheeled vehicles. Very nice. I would have liked to made it all the way to the Alabama line, but the guy I went with needed to head back.
  22. It may be that someone can put together an East TN Ride for those who would rather not make a trip to the Middle TN area.
  23. I thought the Dark Elite came with a threaded barrel? Maybe it's an optional upgrade. EDIT - Yea, after a little research, it appears the threaded barrel is roughly $100 extra.
