  1. Reduces weight, increases comfort and concealment during carry.

  5. Welcome to TGO! Enjoy your stay!
  6. Yea, the speed limit is somewhat low, but it can make for an enjoyable, relaxed cruise. We rode 50 miles south, then 50 miles back north, and didn't see a single LEO. I'm sure they're around, but we didn't see any that day. We did see several sport bikes, and they were obviously going far too fast to read the speed limit signs. I think the signs were such a blur that they may have seen an extra zero. They were gettin' with the program.
  7. Yes, this is technically a "group ride", but everyone is welcome to go at their own pace. It's not mandatory that everyone ride close enough to taste the exhaust fumes. Just ride safely. As I've mentioned earlier, sport bikes sometimes like to go a little faster, so seperating into seperate groups is always an option.
  8. That is true. If we do decide on this route, anyone who's carrying would need to be willing to keep their gun and ammo seperate during that stretch of the trip. Of course, what each individual decides to do in this situation would be their own business.
  9. That's good to hear. I've never stepped foot on an MTA bus, so I have no personal experience. I got my information from a friend of mine who is an Operations Manager with the MTA. BTW, MTA is hiring drivers. $12.68 per hour with two increases in the first 14 months to bring pay to $14.91/hr. Top out pay of $19.37 is reached after 48 months. You'll need a Class-B CDL (Class B with "P" endorsement), but that is a piece of cake.
  10. Can you please take a moment to let us know how you really feel?
  11. Also, doesn't hunting season start around the end of September, or beginning of October? I would hate for any hunters to miss the ride because of this, so we will also need to plan accordingly for that as well.
  12. That will also work for me. Lunch is served Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m, so we will have to plan accordingly.
  13. Based on my calculations, the trip from Hwy 100 and Natchez Trace to Lawrenceburg to Nashville is roughly 180 miles. Give or take a few. That should be pretty close. Sounds like a decent ride to me.
  14. There is a gas station on Hwy 64 at Hwy 240. That should be fairly close to 80 miles from Hwy 100 and Natchez. Just in case someone has a small tank.
  15. Correct! But as I stated earlier, if it were me, I would do my best to CC. But that decision is up to you. You are not required to CC, but if other customers were to complain, you will likely be asked to leave the bus.
  16. I was hoping to get some input on the route, but yours sounds like a good idea to me. I have only traveled about 50 miles south on the Natchez (from Hwy. 100), so I'm not all that familiar with where everything is located. Do you have a rough guesstimate on the mileage of the route you've suggested? Does anyone know about how far from Hwy 100 and Natchez Trace it is before there's a place to get fuel? Some bikes may not be able to go quite as far as others before needing to refuel. As far as an eatery goes, I don't imagine it needs to be anything fancy. Just somewhere to stretch out and grab a little something to much on. Also, we need to come up with a date. I'd like to come up with a date that will allow the maximum number of members to show up.
  17. You can always try Frontline. It works well for my dog.
  18. What? No one wants to add any input?
  19. Well, whatever the reason, it wasn't necessary, but the gesture is very much appreciated, nonetheless. And for your information, I am accepting this Benefactor status under protest.
  20. I have no idea who you are, but you do. The gesture did not go unnoticed, and it is very much appreciated. Thank You!
  21. Nothing. Life is wonderful, and I'm far better than I deserve.
  22. FYI, you can purchase extra HCP's for a very reasonable price. Keep an extra in each vehicle and anywhere else you may need one.
  23. Must have been a slow news day? No soldiers died today?
  24. Yes, if you have a TN HCP, you are allowed to carry a firearm. There are no MTA regulations preventing you from doing so. Of course, they would prefer you CC, rather than OC. They would rather that other riders not be alarmed by the sight of a gun. Silly, yes, but that's the type of society we happen to live in at the moment.
  25. No problem. I actually ordered the bullets for a young man that Westwindmike was helping to get started in reloading. I never saw the bullets firsthand, but Mike said they were of good quality. As far as the service goes, I can tell you that the whole transaction couldn't have gone more smoothly. The owner was very helpful, easy to deal with, and shipping was fast. Best of luck.
