  1. Well, I'm glad to see at least one more cruiser in the bunch, even if it is a girl. Looks like we may be out numbered.
  2. Welcome to TGO! Enjoy your stay! And remember....No question is a stupid question. Ask away.
  3. Thanks for sharing the video. Could have listened to much more of that V-Twin. Very nice. If you feel up to it, we'd love to have you on the ride. Thanks again.
  4. Living in an apartment, It has little choice but to be outside. I do have a very heavy-duty cable lock, and an alarm system I'm about to install. I also keep a motorcycle cover on it. There are some minor imperfections that don't really show in the pictures, but most of them will be taken care of over the winter. Yes, it's pretty darn comfy, even for my fat ass.
  5. Because I'm all about fairness, here is a response I got from BT. I still stand by my opinion, and this email even confirms at least one of my suspicions - they are selling items they don't even have in stock. If you don't have an item in stock, state as such on your website and inform those customers who phone-in orders. Simple as that. It's probably safe to say that many - if not most - of their negative reviews are due to selling items they don't have in stock. I read more than a couple reviews where they were told the item was in stock, but later found that to be untrue. A company that has "well over 640,000 orders completed on record through their website" should have no problem affording and utilizing the necessary software to keep track of their inventory. Nonetheless, here's what they had to say.
  6. BTW, I'm getting them from Hero-Gear. I'm not sure I'll be able to make it down there this week, so I'll just have them shipped.
  7. Kawasaki Vulcan Nomad 1500
  8. They appear to have some good deals on what little I looked at. I'll dig a little deeper when I have some time. Thanks!
  9. The bike is now in the hands of Konrad, over at TNT Performance Dyno. If all goes well, he said I can expect the bike to be running at it's full potential by the end of the week. Fingers are crossed.
  10. You can go to Find Car Audio/Video Gear that Fits Your Vehicle at Crutchfield!? and Outfit Your Car. Maybe they will have something to fit the bill.
  11. Welcome to TGO! Enjoy your stay!
  12. Yes, the 458 is awesome. I was able to shoot a few rounds through it a while back (I still owe you, I know), and I've wanted one ever since. As Rightwinger said, the ammo is neither cheap or plentiful. That's been the only thing keeping me from buying a 458 upper.
  13. Well, there you go bein all picky about it. I forgot to look at that aspect of it. My bad.
  14. My bike will be at TNT Performance Dyno tomorrow afternoon. Should be no problem having it done before the ride. He said no more than a week.
  15. Speaking of "scents", my girlfriend is not very happy with me right now. Hey, it was her idea to make the damn Taco Soup. Carry on!
  16. Keep the gun, I'll take the JD box. Very nice!
  17. Here's one that I think will fit the bill. Like I said, it's not cheap. JVC KW-NX7000BT Navigation receiver at Crutchfield.com Do a little searching, you may be able to find some a little cheaper, but I wouldn't count on finding one too much cheaper. Crutchfield is a great company.
  18. A agree with nightrunner, I'd stay away from Dual. Based on my personal experience with 2 products made by Dual, I'd pass on the one you're looking at. If it were a $29.00 product, that would be one thing, but not a chance when spending that kind of cash. I haven't really priced them, but the Dual is probably half the price of a decent brand, and it's that way for a reason. Some things are worth spending a few extra bucks for the name brand, and electronics is one of them, IMHO. The brands nightrunner mentioned are a good start. But I'd plan on spending about $1000 for something worth a darn. Again, I haven't priced them, so you may be able to find some a little cheaper. But that's what my memory is telling me.
  19. I've read more than a few positive comments about BT. I am also well aware of the fact that most customers are more outspoken about a company when something goes wrong. But I still stick by the fact that I have never seen so much negativity towards a company as I have with Botach Tactical.
  20. Maybe North Carolina has some law(s) on the book that allow LEO's to do this.
  21. Now, that's a wife.
  22. And if this bothers you half as much as it bothers me, please feel free to pass it along.
  23. As some of you know, I'm in the market for some new boots. While searching around for options and pricing, I came across a company, Botach Tactical. Though they appear to be a very well-known seller of tactical gear, I knew very little about them. I was shocked and appalled and what I read. And it wasn't difficult to find. Knowing a great many of their customers are likely to be our men and women of the Law Enforcement and Armed Forces communities, reading some of these stories made me sick to my stomach. A good number of stories I had a chance to read were in fact written by members of LE and our Miltary. More than a few were/are stationed overseas. To keep from typing it all over again, more details can be read in the email I sent to the folks at Botach Tactical.
  24. +1 Although having a national site is a good idea, TGO is all I need as far as a non-brand specific forum goes.
