  1. My bike will be at TNT Performance Dyno tomorrow afternoon. Should be no problem having it done before the ride. He said no more than a week.
  2. Speaking of "scents", my girlfriend is not very happy with me right now. Hey, it was her idea to make the damn Taco Soup. Carry on!
  3. Keep the gun, I'll take the JD box. Very nice!
  4. Here's one that I think will fit the bill. Like I said, it's not cheap. JVC KW-NX7000BT Navigation receiver at Crutchfield.com Do a little searching, you may be able to find some a little cheaper, but I wouldn't count on finding one too much cheaper. Crutchfield is a great company.
  5. A agree with nightrunner, I'd stay away from Dual. Based on my personal experience with 2 products made by Dual, I'd pass on the one you're looking at. If it were a $29.00 product, that would be one thing, but not a chance when spending that kind of cash. I haven't really priced them, but the Dual is probably half the price of a decent brand, and it's that way for a reason. Some things are worth spending a few extra bucks for the name brand, and electronics is one of them, IMHO. The brands nightrunner mentioned are a good start. But I'd plan on spending about $1000 for something worth a darn. Again, I haven't priced them, so you may be able to find some a little cheaper. But that's what my memory is telling me.
  6. I've read more than a few positive comments about BT. I am also well aware of the fact that most customers are more outspoken about a company when something goes wrong. But I still stick by the fact that I have never seen so much negativity towards a company as I have with Botach Tactical.
  7. Maybe North Carolina has some law(s) on the book that allow LEO's to do this.
  8. Now, that's a wife.
  9. And if this bothers you half as much as it bothers me, please feel free to pass it along.
  10. As some of you know, I'm in the market for some new boots. While searching around for options and pricing, I came across a company, Botach Tactical. Though they appear to be a very well-known seller of tactical gear, I knew very little about them. I was shocked and appalled and what I read. And it wasn't difficult to find. Knowing a great many of their customers are likely to be our men and women of the Law Enforcement and Armed Forces communities, reading some of these stories made me sick to my stomach. A good number of stories I had a chance to read were in fact written by members of LE and our Miltary. More than a few were/are stationed overseas. To keep from typing it all over again, more details can be read in the email I sent to the folks at Botach Tactical.
  11. +1 Although having a national site is a good idea, TGO is all I need as far as a non-brand specific forum goes.
  12. I took a quick look while in there yesterday, but didn't see any Emerson knives. The organization level of their knives wasn't the best I've seen, so I could have easily overlooked a few.
  13. New spin on an old tactic. I like it.

  15. Get over it.
  16. 2.5" barrel.
  17. Yea, this guy is in H'ville, so it's a little drive for you. I wish I knew someone else, but I haven't really had the chance to meet too many folks. I'm trying my best to avoid the $60-$70/hr labor rates at the dealer.
  18. Sounds like a plan to me. Not sure if it will help, but I used this guy (Motorcycle /Scooter. Tech. & Complete Service) a couple weeks ago for a small fix. He works out of his garage. He did a great job on mine, but I honestly know very little about how knowledgeable he really is. He claimed to have several years experience with dealers, but I have no way of verifying that. I'd go back to him for something basic (maybe even a fuel leak), but if I needed something real serious done, I'd probably look somewhere else. He was a real nice guy, and even though the job was a little more difficult than he had expected, he honered his initial quote.
  19. I plan on buying them locally, because other than BT, they are pretty close to the same price everywhere else. I took a look at the Oakley's, but I still think I like the Bates better. The look anyway.
  20. Yea, I checked out the Danner's while I was there, but they were a little out of my price range. I didn't plan on spending $100+, but it looks like I'm gonna have little choice for a decent boot. So far, BotachTactical.com has the best price I've been able to find on the Bates GX8. $107/Shipped.
  21. No Way! That slide is so obviously a Beretta.

  23. Glad to hear you'll be able to make it. I may take that route, too. I'm just down the road from 109 myself. If Rightwinger is able to make it, he may like the idea of that route.
