My stepfather is in the same boat. He was the CIO for a large company in the Chicagoland area. After nearly 20 years of loyal service, he was abruptly let go due to the downsizing of America. When booted out the door, his salary was well over 200K. He later found out the company hired someone half his age, with far less experience, for less than half the money. Since then, even with rave reviews from his previous employer, he has had a very difficult time finding stable employment, much less anything near his previous salary. Other than some consulting work here and there, he's had no real luck finding anything.

That's what heck of a detour. Persoanlly, I think I'd rather try Dixie Hwy-25/70 into Newport, TN. Not an Interstate, but that has to be shorter than the detour they've suggested.

The very same thing has been happening with TennCare since it's inception. I know for a fact that several reports to TennCare have been made over the years regarding a certian doctor in the Carthage area. This doctor has "allegedly" been ripping off the TennCare system for years. He has "allegedly" been prescribing MASSIVE amounts of prescription drugs to drug addicts from all over the Middle Tennessee area. This doctor is so well-known for his "alleged" shady activity that some patients travel 2+ hours for a fix. I've known of a family in which many of them and SEVERAL of their friends and acquaintances have regularly made the trek to Carthage for very large quantities of prescription drugs based on bogus injuries and health problem. All at the expense of the taxpayers.

If so, that would be a new one to me. Then again, I'm no LEO. I'm pretty sure some vehicles (I know some semi's do) have automatic driving lights, so not sure how it could be against the law.

Does anyone have any experience with NCA (National Certified Alarms)? Anyone have any recommendations for QUALITY companies that service the Middle Tennessee area?

As far as I understand it, chrome lined barrels last longer, but may be slightly less accurate. Less accurate that the average shooter will notice? Not sure, but probably not.

The above post by HvyMtl just reminded me of something. The price of booths. I understand the money was going to a wonderful cause, the JROTC. But I'm wondering if it would have been a better idea to greatly reduce the fee for a booth, and instead charge attendees $5 for admission. Don't know if something like that would fly, but I've talked to several people who attended the event and were also hoping for many more vendors.
