That whole deal is a fuster cluck. With the support of Henry Rollins, Slipknot, Slayer, Motorhead, Queens of the Stone Age, Ice-T, Metallica, Eddie Vedder, etc, I really thought things would turn around for the WM3.

Hold your horses, Sparky. I didn't see anyone suggest that we shouldn't still give Memphis to Arkansas. Most of us have never been to North Korea or Somalia, but are pretty sure they're not somewhere we'd like to build our dream home.

Oddly enough, the septic tank is not covered by their warranty.

They already paid the septic comapny to take care of it, but I will let them know, just in case.

The septic company showed up Monday morning without the pump truck because of issues caused by the cold weather. They took a look at the septic tank and pipe, and told her it needed to be pumped and the pipe from the house needed to be replaced/fixed. It has settled, so the pipe going into the tank is no longer where it needs to be. They did run an auger through the pipes to clear out any blockages, and she has been able to use the sinks, tubs and toilets for a couple days. They are scheduled to return in the morning with a pump truck, so we shall see.

According to the expert, the heat pump is doing it's job. They could use better insulation and winterizing, but the unit seems to be doing it's job.

They really appreciate the help. They had money set aside for a new couch, but that's going to be on hold for now. I guess they will have to settle for a couple beanbag chairs for a few weeks.

Thanks again to Paletiger13 for all his amazing help. He was gracious enough to come out on a frigid Sunday and figure out the cause of concern. There is almost no doubt the problem is with the septic tank. They asked the previous homeowner (house flipper) to have it pumped before closing on the house, but he refused. Less than 24 hours in the new home, and it's needing pumped ASAP. Someone is scheduled to come out first thing in the morning. Hopefully that will take care of the problem. If not, there is a chance the pipe running from the home into the septic tank could be damaged, but they will have to wait to see if pumping solves the problem. Thanks again, Paletiger13.

As of this morning, the water has finally drained from both tubs.

I did find out they do have a home warranty, so I suggested they attempt to get in touch with them this morning. Being a Sunday, I'm not sure they will reach anyone, and going another full day without the use of sinks, toilets, or showers is not making them very happy.
