  1. I'm thinking about picking up a Winchester model 70 30-06 SPRG. Serial number is 8007XX. According to the serial number, it's a 1965. That's based on what I found doing a search. Any rough ideas?
  2. Depending on how it's packaged, it would take at least two semi's to legally haul it.
  3. Yeah, that's that I was thinking. Just wasn't sure why a message telling me Drive D was full if they are all like that.
  4. That took care of it. May have lost some files, but at least the laptop can be used again. I do have a question, though. It says Drive C: has 84% free space and Drive D: has 0% free space. Is that normal? Afterall, the laptop is now back to factory condition.
  5. Again, being the original owner, I am willing to do whatever I can to get this issue resolved. With the paperwork I have, and being the original owner, I'm sure I can get it fixed under warranty if needed.
  6. I'm pretty sure it was once mine. I think Rugerman unintentionally misspoke when referring to the DW and "brand new". It may have not been brand new, but it was very close. I put only 50 rounds through it, and I don't think the second owner put too many through it himself.
  7. Attemptng to fix a friends laptop and staying warm. Fairly uneventful day, as far as I know.
  8. I'm am in the process of returning the laptop to it's original/factory state. It says: - Reformatting the Windows partition of your hard disk drive - Reinstalling original content. Estimated time remaining: 80 minute(s). I guess we'll see if this works.
  9. When I go in Safe Mode, it takes me to Startup Repair (in a round-a-bout way. The Startup Repair is now searching for problems. It says it can take up to an hour or so, so I'll be here a while. I have no idea.
  10. Well, it sounds like it may be spinning, but not really sure what it's doing. I can hear a slight hummmmmm and can actually feel it.
  11. Would the fact that my PC is running XP and the laptop HD is Vista have anything to do with it?
  12. I feel the laptop HD doing something when I plug it into the SATA cable, I go to 'My Computer', but it's not showing up under 'Hard Disk Drives'.
  13. I'm using XP. I go to 'My Computer', but it's not showing that the laptop HD is connected to my PC. Is that what I'm supposed to do?
  14. Correct. The little green bar thingy just scrolls and scrolls and scrolls and scrolls.
  15. The laptop HD is SATA. I plug it into the SATA cable on my PC, I can actually feel the laptop HD doing something, but not sure what to do from there. The laptop HD has two sections for connecting cables, the SATA cables on my PC only connect to one of the two sections. But I feel it running, so that should be connected properly, correct?
  16. A friend of mine is here with her laptop that won't boot up. Can I plug the laptop HD into my PC to see if her HD is bad? If so, can you explain how I go about doing that? Thanks in advance.

  18. Paula Dean did something very similar -- seling homemade food from home -- in the very same city as this story. Although, she very well may have had the proper paperwork needed to run such a business
  19. No, I know the serial number of the DW I sold. I'm just not sure the information on my Bud's Gun Shop account page is going to be sufficient enough to get warranty work done if needed. It gives just about all the info they may need, but no serial number. Bellshires Harware did the transfer.
  20. If this is the same DW, I will do everything in my power to help get this issue resolved once and for all. I placed the order on Wednesday 07 January, 2009, so there is plenty of time left for warranty repairs.
  21. I saved all emails, but nothing of real use in those.
  22. This is a question for anyone who has purchased a firearm from Buds. Did you get an actual physical receipt? I don't recall getting one with my purchase. I can log-in on their dite and pull up my order and billing history, but I can't seem to find the serial number listed anywhere.
  23. BTW, I was the original purchaser of that DW, if it's the same one. And if it is, I'm a little suprised at least 2 TGO members would knowingly sell a firearm with issues.
  24. I'm pretty sure that DW was once owned by me, and there were ZERO issues with it until after I sold it. I purchased a 50 round box of American Eagle ammo from Jasongar8, and the DW ran flawlessly. I then received 500 rounds of Georgia Arms 10mm, which never got used by me. I sold all 500 rounds with the DW. I have no idea if it's an ammo issue, but I would try another brand, just in case.
  25. Have you tried other Ammo?
