  1. So far, Rightwinger has been the only one to offer his assistance on this project. Don't be shy.
  2. You're a lawyer, so I'm sure you'll manage to muster up some kind of BS story. I was just kidding. Really. I couldn't resist.
  3. My point is, if they don't warn you ahead (before handing over the cash)of time about their "refund policy", how were you supposed to make an informed decision about buying from them in the first place? I would not pay for a firearm unless I was 100% sure it was leaving with me. And I definitely wouldn't do so knowing I could lose 25% of the purchase price if something went wrong. During all of my firearms purchases through a dealer, I never had to pay for the firearm before the background check was completed. I generally paid the $10 fee for the background check, and then paid for the firearm after everything came back OK. Bottom line is, Gun City (or anyone, for that matter) should be required to inform you of such policy before you hand over any money. Warning you after you've paid is obviously no good for the customer.
  4. All those poor animals. Very, very sad.
  5. Sorry for your loss. We send our condolences to you and yours.
  6. Not sure we have to worry about anyone that we're not already worried about. The fact that a satellite is needed to guide the missiles will likely keep it out of the hands of many others. Then again, you never know.
  7. We can shoot for Saturday, May 15th.
  8. Do they warn you about the "Items not picked up in 30 days or PERMIT disapproved: 25% of purchase price forfeited" before you pay and get handed the receipt?
  9. Is Gun City willing to hold the gun until you are able to get everything straightened out? Or are they willing to get you another one just like it, once you get everything straigtened out? Just another reason I've not stepped foot into Gun City in many, many years.
  10. Yes, you get a lunch break. Ours was about an hour, if I recall correctly. But that wasn't at G&L. I'm pretty sure there is also a Subway near by.
  11. It's Official! TGO's 'Sumner County Adopt-A-Highway Group' has finally been assigned a section of highway. The 'Sumner County Adopt-A-Highway Group' will now be responsible for the section of highway located between mile marker #4.5 (where our sign is located) and mile marker #6.5 on the eastbound (from Nashville towards Gallatin) side of Highway 386, better known to many as Vietnam Veterans Boulevard. If you plan on being part of this group, it is necessary that you take the time to read through pages 2, 4, 5 and 6 of the New Group Information Packet at the following link. http://www.tdot.state.tn.us/environment/beautification/pdf/newgroupaahpacket.pdf It is also necessary that you watch the Volunteer Training Video at the following link. http://www.tdot.state.tn.us/environment/beautification/adopthighway.wmv After reading the New Group Information Packet and watching the Volunteer Training Video, please fill out the Volunteer Release Form at the following link. This is also necessary, and I must have them turned in before you can attend a clean-up. If you plan on lending a helping hand, shoot me a PM, and I will give you my address to send your Volunteer Release Form. I will need these ASAP. I'm not sure why I didn't think of this earlier, but rather than sending the form via USPS, you can send me a PDF. http://www.tdot.state.tn.us/environment/beautification/docs/releaseform.doc Those who have already agreed to help: - TripleDigitRide - Received Volunteer Release Form. - Rightwinger - Received Volunteer Release Form. - 56FordGuy - Received Volunteer Release Form. - ryan02 - StreetWK05 - Received Volunteer Release Form - LagerHead - Received Volunteer Release Form - Angus - Trekbike - Received Volunteer Release Form.
  12. Bellshire's Hardware on Dickerson Rd. $20.
  13. Welcome to TGO! Enjoy your stay!
  14. Gun Owners Club, Gun Broker, etc?
  15. Not sure about that, but I don't recall anyone ever mentioning it taking nearly that long.
  16. IIRC, I got mine in roughly 3 weeks.
  17. Yep! Shouldn't be too much longer.
  18. Do people not think about this type of thing before dishing out that kind of cash? Barrett should include a list of ranges that are willing to allow .50 BMG.
  19. That pretty well sums it up.
  20. The Dick's that is directly across the street from the Rivergate Academy Sports seems to be doing just fine for years now.
  21. Although it would be nice know the rest of the story, out of curiosity, it hardly seems to matter in this situation. There is no "out" for the EMS worker, as far as I can see. He was in illegal possession of a firearm, and based on the news article, his life did not appear to be in immediate danger. The victim was in his own vehicle when the EMS approached him with a loaded firearm. I can't think of too many scenarios, if any, where the EMS worker would be justified in doing what he did.
  22. Looks like we should have planned that ride for today instead of yesterday.
  23. There's just something about females with beards.
  24. In no way am I bashing anyone who takes such a course, but I can't help but be just a little surprised that so many grown men take a course to learn how to ride a motorcycle.
