  1. Assuming the weather is favorable, how many think they will make it on the 15th?
  2. I've been volunteering my time in the Hendersonville area, but if anyone is in need of a truck driver, I will be more than happy to volunteer my services. I have a Class-A CDL with Haz-Mat endorsement. I am able to help Fridays through Sundays, with the exception of today, Friday, May 7, 2010.
  3. Accoding to the latest news, he paid a 16-year-old prostitute $300 for sexual favors. He claims he didn't know she was underage.
  4. The fact that any of these pirates make it off these ships alive is beyond me.
  5. Pre-Order. Pre-Pay.
  6. Hellmans and Kraft. I'll have to try Dukes.
  7. All above options, plus relish.
  8. Well, today is my birthday, and I did get my 2010 Cold Steel Recon 1 from the girlfriend. Unfortunately, it was a nice framed picture of a Cold Steel Recon 1 . According to the girlfriend, the actual knife isn't scheduled to be here until next week.
  9. I can't give you a hard time for wearing a half helmet, because I also wear one. With that being said, there are very obvious differences between DOT approved and non-approved helmets. You can tell by looking at them. Like so many other situations where you may be issued a ticket, ignorance generally isn't an excuse that gets you too far in the courts, especially when it's nearly impossible to find a non DOT approved helmet, unless it's an obvous novelty helmet. Not to mention the fact that many vendors who are willing to sell novelty helmets also openly sell the bogus DOT stickers in the wide open.
  10. Without seeing the helmet, it's hard to know for sure, but is there any chance the helmet in question is an obvious novelty helmet with a bogus DOT sticker? I've witnessed riders buying those novelty helmets, then slap a fake DOT sticker on the back. I've even seen the novelty helmets with the fake sticker already attached. The store will often place a sign near these helmets, letting customers know they are not DOT approved. This fools almost no one, even LEO's.
  11. +1 Much of the gas we get in these parts comes from the the plants in Nashville that are currently under about 10' of water. Three of the main locations are located directly next to the Cumberland River in Nashville.
  12. Yeah, it's a sad situation.
  13. .....so they never have to make a call like this one. YouTube - 14 year old boy shoots his best friend calls 911 (audio only) It always amazes how many gun owners don't take the time to teach their children even the most basic firearms safety.
  14. A female friend of mine purchased one for home protection. She's a pretty big girl, and the LOP was far too long for her. She had to order an adjustable stock in order for her to be comfortable shooting it. Other than that, I'm sure it would be just fine for its intended purpose.
  15. We're not you Facebook friends, so it won't allow us to view the photos.
  16. I can tell you, as someone who is currently a truck driver, nothing has changed. I keep the volume on the C.B. turned down unless I need to use it.
  17. I wish. I found several websites that had the 2010 models pictured, but didn't actually have them in stock. I can't say for sure, but I'm pretty certian my girlfriend pre-ordered me one directly from Cold Steel for my birthday.
  18. Ooops! I posted the wrong photo. Yes, I have the one you've posted. I am anxiously awaiting the release of the 2010 model.
  19. I would also suggest some sort of "safety chat" with your children. By 6 and 10, I think they should be well aware of the dangers of messing with guns. I spent quite a bit of time with my 11-year-old daughter when she was younger, and I've never felt uncomfortable about her messing with my guns. I keep an XD40 and a Remington Marine Magnum sitting next to my bed 24/7. Well, while we are in the house, anyway. She's always been very good about keeping her distance.
  20. Something like this works well. There are a few companies making simialr products. Bed holster bracket
  21. FOXNews.com - Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill Closes Fishing From Louisiana to Florida Panhandle VENICE, Louisiana -- The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is closing commercial and recreational fishing from Louisiana to parts of the Florida Panhandle because of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. In a news release sent Sunday afternoon, NOAA said the closure begins immediately and will last for at least 10 days. NOAA Administrator Jane Lubchenco says government scientists are taking samples from the waters near the spill to determine whether there is any danger. The fishing ban extends between Louisiana state waters at the mouth of the Mississippi River to waters off Florida's Pensacola Bay. Crews have so far had little success stemming the flow from the ruptured well on the sea floor off Louisiana or removing oil from the surface.
  22. Best looking 1911, IMHO.
