I found a flashlight several months ago, but because I didn't recognize the brand name, it was lightly used and the batteries were dead, I tossed it in the glovebox and forgot about it.
Well, I happened to stumble upon it earlier today and decided to throw 3 AAA's in it to see if it even worked. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and brightness of the LED's. Not the best I've ever seen, but much better than I was expecting.
I decided to do a quick Google search to see what kind of info I could come up with. I was even more surprised to find they sell for $40-$50. I'll consider that a fairly decent find.
The light is a 'Coast LED LENSER v2 6 Chip Dual Color Ultra-Violet Light' (Model: 7732DUV). It has 5 white LED's and 1 UV LED, both operated by seperate power buttons. Although the 5 white LED's are pretty darn bright, there is a slight blueish tint.
Anyway, it's not much to brag about, but I was bored, so I thought I'd share the story. All in all, I think it's a decent find. A man cannot have too many flashlights - especially when they're free.
