  1. Yeah, I was amazed. I've seen some pretty amazing storms when I was an over-the-road truck driver, but not sure anything was quite that bad.
  2. A massive sale. I don't have many details. They may have officially closed shop by now. Not sure how long they planned on having this sale.

  4. I enjoy visiting "downtown" Bell Buckle, even when it's not time for the festival. Many interesting shops, and some of the best ice cream and fudge in these parts.
  5. I would suspect that shipping them to Alaska would be your best option, possibly your only option.
  6. Firearms are not permitted in LP Field at any other time, so if I had to guess, I would say they are not permitted for the car show.
  7. Man in wheelchair faces charges after allegedly shooting duck at Kingsport skate park - Kingsport Times-News Online KINGSPORT - A 50-year-old man in a wheelchair -- who police said "admitted to taking several types of medications" -- has been arrested after allegedly shooting a duck at the Kingsport skate park. A Kingsport police arrest report says the incident occurred at 6:19 Tuesday night. Officers responded to the Scott Adams Memorial Skate Park, 821 West Center St., on a report of a man in a wheelchair firing a gun. The responding officer reports locating the suspect nearby, on the Green Belt. The man, James Edward Hutson, 50, of 618 Branch St., Kingsport, allegedly carried a Colt .38 special on his right side. The report says Hutson told the officer he had shot a duck in the creek behind the skate park. Police say the gun was loaded and contained one shell that had not been fired. A second .38-caliber revolver, unknown make and model, was located in Hutson's right pocket. Police say it had not been fired. Hutson, who "admitted to taking several types of medications," was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment and going armed.
  8. These are videos of a recent hail storm in Oklahoma City. May 16, 2010. This first video starts to get good (or bad) at roughly 1:00-1:15 This shows damage to the vehicle of a local news crew.
  9. Our sign is located about half-way between mile markers #4 and #5. I just got off the phone with our TDOT Rep, and she said our section would start at our sign and continue for 2 miles fromt hat point.
  10. This is a big weekend for graduations, so I'm not surprised. We've been forced to put it off for several weekends, I guess another week or two isn't going to kill us.
  11. Hey! At least they were once offered to most of you folks. David couldn't find a tent and awning company to make shirts big enough for my fat self. I've been waiting for the opportunity to buy some shirts from TGO and Hero-Gear, but my plumpness has prevented me from doing so. I know, I know..I should simply lose some weight.
  12. No problem, BEARMAN! I don't know about anyone else, but it gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling when I first saw it.
  13. One list I'm pround not to be part of. Zero debt (still renting) is a wonderful feeling.
  14. Eastbound side of VVB, not too far past exit #3.
  15. Congrats to the both of you. Now the two of you can put on your matching workout suits and do the Wally World walk together.
  16. I'm getting real tired of seeing my 401K on the decline. I need a better way to save for retirement. Not only do I have a 401K, but I work for an employee owned company, and receive an unspecified number of shares each year though our ESOP program. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I can count on those shares any more than I can count on my 401K. When we became an employee owned company, they decided to stop matching our 401K contributions, but I'm fairly certain the number of shares we receive is partially based on how much we contribute to our own 401K. I'm almost positive I cannot withdraw or transfer the company stock unless I leave the company, but think I can possibly do something with the 401K. Anyone with any real knowledge have any suggestions?

  18. Unless they are posted, yes.
  19. After a quick search on GunBroker and GunsAmerica, I saw a couple for about $7,000 and one for about $20,000. I guess there are different versions. Shows what little I know about them.
  20. If I had to guess, maybe $15,00-$20,000. That is just a gues, and not a very educated one, I must admit.
  21. There is no cost at all. Visit the following website for more info. Beautification Office - Tennessee Department of Transportation - Environmental Division You simply fill out an Online Volunteer Application Form and contact the TDOT coordinator in your area. You can find out who that is by calling 615.741.6896. If you have any questions along the way, feel free to shoot me a PM. I'll be more than happy to help in an way I can.
  22. Joe at Hero-Gear has graciously offered to donate some ANSI II Hi-Vis safety vests for this project. Rather than borrowing vest from the state each time, we could have our very own. This would also allow us to put some sort of TGO logo (even if with a Sharpie) on the vests. Thanks again to Joe and Hero-Gear.
  23. The state does supply safety vests (to borrow), but we did discuss buying our own, so we could put some sort of TGO logo on the back, even if we were forced to use a Sharpie. Your generous offer could put us in that direction, and would be much appreciated. I'm still gathering a list of volunteers, so as soon as I get an actual number, I will pass on that info.
  24. You could easily drive by one just like it, everyday. :hint: :hint:
