  1. Um, I think I understand what you're saying.
  2. Do only certain threads/posts show up in the "What's New?" and "New Posts" section? I've made posts, clicked the What's New? or New Posts button, but they don't appear. I'm pretty sure I've seen the same thing with posts by other members, too.
  3. First of all, unless you get there VERY, VERY early, you'll likely be forced to stand in the street, not in the actual "park". I tried the whole Riverfront Park thing several years ago, and I'll never do it again. Parking is a disaster, and it can take hours to get back to the Interstate. Not to mention the fact that there are so many people crammed into a small area, you will end up being covered in the sweaty DNA of anyone within 100 feet of you. It was not very pleasant for us. We now park in a lot on Shelby St, right across from the Exxon and LP Field. Easy to get in and easy to get out. Great view, and plenty of room. We generally get there a little early so we can fire up the grill. Bring your lawnchairs and a cooler. If you are worried about the musical aspect of the show, don't. You can hear it pretty well from the lot, and many folks tune their radios to whatever station is broadcasting. You won't miss a thing. It's the best place we've found to watch Nashville's Fireworks show. FYI: If I recall correctly, it costs $10 to park in the lot. Could be more, or could be less. I can't remember.
  4. We generally pay to park in a lot on Shelby St, across from LP Field. Great view of the fireworks show and almost no traffic when it's time to hit the Interstate. We usually load up some coolers and take a small grill.
  5. I'm not having any issues while using my PC or Palm Pre.
  6. I bought one of the clip points. I wouldn't mind having a tanto or spear point.
  7. I've always been happy with Cold Steel knives. I'm even happier with the changes made to the 2010 Recon 1, the clip placement is just one of them. I haven't had any issue with the stiffness of the clip. I've lost a few knives because the clips aren't stiff enough, but because of the clips Cold Steel uses and the texture of the handle, I've never lost one. What kind of blade did you get? If you decide to sell them, I may be interested.

It's difficult enough to find a place to shoot a .50 BMG. Pretty sweet looking, though.
  9. My 2010 Recon 1 with the tanto blade came in late last week. I love it even more than my 2009 model.
  10. As a former Chicagoian, woot!
  11. The same thing happened to me. Well, the other TGOer that's splitting the order with me. I wasn;t a tanto, but he also got the same phone call as you. Then I wanted the spear point. Again, all sold out. Blah.
  12. I'm supposed to have a clip point, 50/50 blade coming (my 3rd option). I'll trade for or buy a tanto or spear point, if someone gets an extra.
  13. I got a PM from another member before I saw your post. I'm a little bummed because they were sold out of the Tano blades, so I had to settle for a clip point. If some wants to trade a tanto blade for a clip blade, shoot me a PM.
  14. Damn! And my girlfriend ordered me one of the new Recon1's not long ago. According to UPS, I should have it Wednesday. Those are some sweet deals. If someone wants to go in 1/2's, I'll take a Recon1 Tanto, 50/50 blade.
  15. Welcome to TGO! Also a GGC member. Enjoy your stay!
  16. If you were openly wearing you HCP badge, they wouldn't bothing asking for an ID.
  17. Not sure if it will get you in the right direction, but I did find this. http://www.tsc.state.tn.us/OPINIONS/Tca/PDF/093/Maggie%20Ann%20Barron%20v%20Emerson%20Russell%20Maint%20Co%20OPN.pdf
  18. I went through the house and storage closet to gather things I could donate to my neighbors who are trying to raise money for their upcoming adoption. I also purchased a few things from them. I drove to a friends house to feed their animals while they are on vacation. I'm about to walk into the kitchen for breakfast.

  20. At least a FWB. DWB.
  21. Ask the landlord if he's willing to take a few bucks off the rent each month if you were to buy a dishwasher and put it in. If he/she agrees, find a cheap, used dishwasher somewhere like Craigslist.
  22. I will check that out when I get home. Thanks.
