  1. That would be great. I really appreciate it.
  2. As much as it pains me to do this, I am no longer able to lead this endeavour. The personal issues I am having with my daughter have only gotten much worse, and I simply cannot focus on much of anything except for finding a solution to her problems. I apologize to everyone who's been gracious enough to volunteer with the cleanup, TGO David for allowing me to move forward with this in the first place, and Joe at Hero Gear for donating the safety vests. I feel horrible for backing out, but I simply have no other choice at this time. At this point, it's become difficult enough to take things day by day, let alone plan anything days or weeks in advance. Things have just gotten that bad. It would be great if another TGO member would be willing to take over my role, but if no one is willing and/or able to do so in the near future, I will return the safety vests to Joe and contact TDOT to let them know we are no longer able to participate in the program. If anyone may be interested, please contact me ASAP. There isn't a lot you need to know, and it's not all that time consuming. I can easily walk you through the basics, and what I may forget can easily be found on the TDOT website.
  3. Thanks for the update, guys. I'm trying very hard to stay on top of this, but with all the issues regarding my daughter it's a little difficult. Thanks again.
  4. Yeah, I searched the name of the restaurant, guns-in-bars, and a few others. Nothing came back. And I do mean NOTHING. I haven't been around much since the upgrade, so I haven't quite figured everything out.
  5. I tried a few searches, but came up empty handed. I promise. I guess Channel 4 is slow to the presses. My search-fu is obviously a little rusty.
  6. TOSHA Rejects Guns-In-Bars Challenge From Server - Nashville News Story - WSMV Nashville NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A state inspector has ruled that Tennessee's new guns-in-bars law does not create an unsafe environment for servers. An anonymous server at Jackson's Bar and Bistro in the Hillsboro Village area of Nashville filed a complaint last month with the Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The Tennessean reports TOSHA inspector David Blessman wrote in a report last week there was "no condition that created the potential for serious physical harm or death." The report stated that violent incidents rarely occurred at Jackson's. The state legislature passed the guns-in-bars law this year after an earlier law that tried to limit guns to establishments that primarily sell food was struck down as unconstitutionally vague. David Randolph Smith, who is representing the server, was also behind the successful lawsuit that struck down the earlier law. Smith said his client would consider a federal lawsuit if the state refuses to act. After the failed complaint, an appeal to a state administrative law judge is the next step.
  7. I can give them a call. I'm not sure they'll be able to tell me, but I'll give it a shot.
  8. Mr. Callahan also claimed the Model 29 to be "the most powerful handgun in the world". Not so true. Technically speaking, he was likely shooting blanks. Waiting for the, "No, it was a Model 57" debate to begin.
  9. We celebrated yesterday at the park/lake. We had beer brats, burgers, black bean fiesta, tater salad, and kabobs with mushrooms, red onions, green peppers and pineapple.
  10. I've had Sprint for years. My current phone is the Palm Pre. I do a bunch of traveling throughout the middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky areas, and I have very little service interuption. I've been satisfied with the phones and service, and have zero desire to switch carriers. I currently have the Unlimited Everything plan, and I've been happy with it also. The Nextel portion of Sprint is slightly less desirable, in my humble opinion.
  11. This doesn't appear to be showing in the "New Posts" either. I've not been around much sinse the forum upgrade, so I'm still unsure how it operates. Feel free to delete this if needed.
  12. Because the Events and Gatherings section doesn't appear to be listed in the "New Posts", I wanted to make sure as many members as possible find about this information. Please take a moment to visit the http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/events-gatherings/45795-tennessee-gun-ownerss-sumner-county-adopt-highway-choosing-date.html thread. Thanks in advance.
  13. Please refer to the http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/events-gatherings/45795-tennessee-gun-ownerss-sumner-county-adopt-highway-choosing-date.html thread for important information regarding out first clean-up.
  14. It's that time, folks! We need to set a date for the first clean-up of our designated section of Vietnam Veterans Boulevard (S.R. 386) in the Hendersonville area. I've already received the Volunteer Release Form from the following TGO members: Rightwinger 56FordGuy StreetWK05 LagerHead Trekbike We could always use more volunteers, so for those of you who would like to join us in keeping our roadways clean and have not yet filled out the Volunteer Release Form, please take visit the http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/events-gatherings/39234-tennessee-gun-ownerss-sumner-county-adopt-highway-thread.html. If you'd like to join our cause, I will need you to fill out a Volunteer Release Form and mail it to me ASAP. You can also email me your signed Volunteer Release Form in the form of a PDF file. If you decide to mail me your form, please PM me for my address. You DO NOT need to live in the Sumner County area to join our group. This is open to anyone who's willing to spend a couple hours keeping our section of roadway looking pretty. We are required to perform a clean-up 4 times a year (once per season is suggested), so you are not committing a huge amount of time if you choose to help. Again, if you'd like to help, please visit the http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/events-gatherings/39234-tennessee-gun-ownerss-sumner-county-adopt-highway-thread.html.
  15. Thank you very much, fellas. It is much appreciated.
  16. Thanks for the text, Blake. I had a missed call from another TGOer sometime over the weekend, but wasn't able to get back to him. I appreciate the concern. Unfortunately, I've been dealing with some very stressful pesonal matters regarding my daughter. Those issues have since turned into some very stressful financial matters, so I've had to step away from just about anything not related to my daughter and/or work. With that being said, I would like to believe I'm beginning to see some light at the end of the tunnel. As a matter of fact, I was thinking about the TGO Adopt-A-Highway over the weekend. I sincerely apologize for allowing this to fall to the end of my list of priorities. Joe/Hero Gear was kind enough to donate the safety vests for this project, and I still have them sitting in my closet. I will find some time in the next couple days to get this rolling again. I guess we just need to decide on a date in the not so distant future, maybe 3 or 4 week.
  17. This is very real. With the gyros these guys are installing in their RC helicopters these days, it's amazing what kind of 3D flying they can do.

  19. I have no problem with what they do, just the way they do it. Very wasteful and unproductive. I'm always amazed when they attempt toss stuff aboard the Japanese whaling ships, only to miss a great majority of the time. For the most part, if they are close enough to hit the deck of the Japanese whaling ships, they are fighting against the Japanese water cannons. All while they could simply drop that stuff from the helicopter. Makes no sense to me.
  20. As of a few months ago, the Citgo at Main Street and South 5th Street in Nashville offered it. I have no idea of the price. 500 Main St, Nashville, TN 37206
  21. Just a couple miles from me. Thanks for the heads-up on the moron.
  22. Um, I think I understand what you're saying.
  23. Do only certain threads/posts show up in the "What's New?" and "New Posts" section? I've made posts, clicked the What's New? or New Posts button, but they don't appear. I'm pretty sure I've seen the same thing with posts by other members, too.
  24. First of all, unless you get there VERY, VERY early, you'll likely be forced to stand in the street, not in the actual "park". I tried the whole Riverfront Park thing several years ago, and I'll never do it again. Parking is a disaster, and it can take hours to get back to the Interstate. Not to mention the fact that there are so many people crammed into a small area, you will end up being covered in the sweaty DNA of anyone within 100 feet of you. It was not very pleasant for us. We now park in a lot on Shelby St, right across from the Exxon and LP Field. Easy to get in and easy to get out. Great view, and plenty of room. We generally get there a little early so we can fire up the grill. Bring your lawnchairs and a cooler. If you are worried about the musical aspect of the show, don't. You can hear it pretty well from the lot, and many folks tune their radios to whatever station is broadcasting. You won't miss a thing. It's the best place we've found to watch Nashville's Fireworks show. FYI: If I recall correctly, it costs $10 to park in the lot. Could be more, or could be less. I can't remember.
