Found the pink LCP at The Outpost Armory. No one else in middle Tennessee had them in stock because TOA had 19 of them.

Actually, I was here a day or two before the new software. I was beginning to think my resurgence caused a meltdown.

Lookin' good. -
Ah, I forgot about the TCP. Thank you very much. I'll have to check that out.

Having a handfull of guys from work over for the big game. Nothing big, just hangin' out. Started preparing some of the hors d'oeuvres this evening, and hoping to finish before they arrive. Go Cowboys!

Has anyone seen a Ruger LCP's for sale anywhere as of late? New or in VERY GOOD condition? Local or online? I'm thinking one of these would make for a nice Valentines Day gift, but haven't been able to locate one.

I've been quite occupied with family matters for the last several months, so I thought I'd stop by to say Hello to some old friends. Hope all is well.

Guns and Leather Grand Opening (Today)
TripleDigitRide replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
Just found out that two of my neighbors took advanatage of the deal on the Sig P250c. I thought I heard some discussion about bringing some from the other store due to the demand. I'm guessing they sold a whole bunch of those. -
Lucky me, Guns and Leather recently opened their new store just blocks from me. I stopped by their Grand Opening, and man was there a crowd. I thought they were opening at 9:00am, so I got there a few minutes early. I guess I was a little late, because their parking lot was full, along with the parking lots belonging to the surrounding businesses. I was expecting the entire store to be shoulder-to-shoulder gun nuts, but the inside is much bigger than it appears from the outside. They have plenty of space. The counter space was packed with drooling customers, but I was still able to easily do all the browsing and drooling I wanted. Unfortunately, due to some major issues with my daughter in the recent past, my finances wouldn't allow me to take advantage of the deals they were offering. I sure would have liked one of those Sigs or S&Ws they had. There's always hope with the drawings for door prizes. I was in a rush to get back home, so I forgot all about taking a peek at the indoor range. Being so close to this new loaction, I'll stop by sometime next week to take a peek. Thank You and Congrats to the folks at Guns and Leather. I'm looking forward to the day I can do business with you again.

I'm happy to finally read a story about these fools being run out of town. It would be nice to see this happen every time they plan on being douchebags. Supporters Block Funeral Protest in Weston - WDAF WESTON, MO. — People in Weston, Missouri banded together on Saturday. They wanted to protect loved ones who were saying goodbye to a fallen soldier. They stood up to members of the Wetboro Baptist Church who planned to protest at First Sgt. C.J. Sadell's funeral. Sadell died October 24 from injuries he suffered in a surprise attack in Afghanistan. On Saturday, there was quite a turnout of people who wanted to keep the protesters away from the funeral. "I'd say probably half the people in Weston are here," said Eric Moser, Marine Corp veteran. Weston has less than 2,000 residents, but hundreds of people showed up to support the family of First Sgt. Sadell. Sadell was in the Arif Kala region of Afghanistan when his unit was ambushed October 5. Five soldiers died and Sadell was badly injured. "If you think about it, they've all gone to serve just so we could be able to do this," said Rebecca Rooney who organized the supporters. "He didn't die in vain." Rebecca Rooney is a Weston resident who wanted to stand up against Fred Phelps and his followers. "We got everybody here early so we could take up all the parking spots," Rooney said. ."We did that so Mr. Phelps wouldn't have a contingency that was really close." Supporters came armed with patriotic music and American flags. Protesters didn't stick around long once they saw the supporters. "I'm glad they left, but I'm sad they came," Rooney said. People came from Blue Springs, California and even Australia to be a part of the band of patriotic supporters. Half of the group lined up at the intersection while the the other half created a human shield at the funeral home. C.J. Sadell was 34-years-old. He leaves behind a wife and two sons.

Thanks for the tips, fellas. I've always heard how much better a fried turkey is, so I'm pretty excited to give it a shot.

During what little research I've done on various websites, it seems the cooking time tends to vary from 2 1/2 minutes per pound to 5 minutes per pound. I'm planning on a 12 pound +/- whole bird. What seems to work best for you? Also, are there any certian brands of turkey I should lean towards or stay away from? Because it has been requested by a few family members and friends, I plan on trying to find an organic/free-range bird, if possible.

With Thanksgiving quickly approaching, I've decided to try my hand at frying a turkey for the first time. Please feel free to share your recipes and tips with a turkey frying noob. I'm thinking something cajun, but am open to suggestions. Thanks in advance.

As much as it pains me to do this, I am no longer able to lead this endeavour. The personal issues I am having with my daughter have only gotten much worse, and I simply cannot focus on much of anything except for finding a solution to her problems. I apologize to everyone who's been gracious enough to volunteer with the cleanup, TGO David for allowing me to move forward with this in the first place, and Joe at Hero Gear for donating the safety vests. I feel horrible for backing out, but I simply have no other choice at this time. At this point, it's become difficult enough to take things day by day, let alone plan anything days or weeks in advance. Things have just gotten that bad. It would be great if another TGO member would be willing to take over my role, but if no one is willing and/or able to do so in the near future, I will return the safety vests to Joe and contact TDOT to let them know we are no longer able to participate in the program. If anyone may be interested, please contact me ASAP. There isn't a lot you need to know, and it's not all that time consuming. I can easily walk you through the basics, and what I may forget can easily be found on the TDOT website.

TOSHA Rejects Guns-In-Bars Challenge From Server - Nashville News Story - WSMV Nashville NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A state inspector has ruled that Tennessee's new guns-in-bars law does not create an unsafe environment for servers. An anonymous server at Jackson's Bar and Bistro in the Hillsboro Village area of Nashville filed a complaint last month with the Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration. The Tennessean reports TOSHA inspector David Blessman wrote in a report last week there was "no condition that created the potential for serious physical harm or death." The report stated that violent incidents rarely occurred at Jackson's. The state legislature passed the guns-in-bars law this year after an earlier law that tried to limit guns to establishments that primarily sell food was struck down as unconstitutionally vague. David Randolph Smith, who is representing the server, was also behind the successful lawsuit that struck down the earlier law. Smith said his client would consider a federal lawsuit if the state refuses to act. After the failed complaint, an appeal to a state administrative law judge is the next step.

Stupid Trivia: Dirty Harry did not shoot 44 Magnum loads.

Mr. Callahan also claimed the Model 29 to be "the most powerful handgun in the world". Not so true. Technically speaking, he was likely shooting blanks. Waiting for the, "No, it was a Model 57" debate to begin. -
We celebrated yesterday at the park/lake. We had beer brats, burgers, black bean fiesta, tater salad, and kabobs with mushrooms, red onions, green peppers and pineapple.

I've had Sprint for years. My current phone is the Palm Pre. I do a bunch of traveling throughout the middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky areas, and I have very little service interuption. I've been satisfied with the phones and service, and have zero desire to switch carriers. I currently have the Unlimited Everything plan, and I've been happy with it also. The Nextel portion of Sprint is slightly less desirable, in my humble opinion.

This doesn't appear to be showing in the "New Posts" either. I've not been around much sinse the forum upgrade, so I'm still unsure how it operates. Feel free to delete this if needed.
