http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2015/12/11/taurus-owners-take-note-class-action-settlement-is-available/ "If you own a Taurus handgun, you will want to read this post. Recently, Iowa deputy sheriff Chris Carter brought suit against Brazilian firearms manufacturer Taurus International Manufacturing, Inc. for a defect in their handguns whereby the weapons could potentially fire when dropped. Those who own Taurus handguns in the following models may be able to, if they wish, receive compensation for the weapons as part of the settlement reached between Taurus International Manufacturing, Inc. and the lead plaintiff."

Heads up about the owner of Shooter's Depot in Chattanooga
TripleDigitRide replied to Junkstack's topic in General Chat
With sites like Armslist, GOC, and the zillion Facebook groups that have been created for the purpose of buying and selling firearms, I can't help but think that a gun show would be one of the last places a felon would go for purchasing a firearm. In the end, all of the above mentioned sources will fall under any possible "gun show loophole" legislation. -

I'f I'm cooking a turkey in the oven, it would have to be injected. I'd buy two bottles of either of these: http://shop.tonychachere.com/creole-style-butter-17-oz-p-21707.html http://shop.tonychachere.com/creole-butter-jalapeno-17-oz-p-21706.html The biggest drawback to oven-baked turkeys is the fact that they tend to be way too dry. That is what you're fighting against. -

I've had some very good smoked turkey, but having a choice, I'd almost always choose a fried bird. I marinate mine over nice with a Creole Butter injection, and a Cajun dry rub under the skin. It's a lot of work, and sometimes a bit messy, but damn are they good. -
I've got my own complaint about a local shop, but it has to wait until It'll have to wait a day or two.

I'm more worried that so many adult males are so into Star Wars. -

Magic bullet buttons that turn your AR into a fully auto
TripleDigitRide replied to Sam1's topic in General Chat
That's very true. My point was that the general public doesn't truly have a thorough understanding of most subjects being discussed in the news. We are expecting to hear factually accurate information when we tune in. However, when we as viewers don't have a deep understanding of the subject being discussed, we have no idea we're being misinformed. Too many folks hear these talking heads spewing their trash, and they magically become the experts who need to share the [mis]information with everyone they know. Most people aren't nearly as smart as they think they are. -

This is the kind of stuff that happens when you need to come up with 1440 minutes of BS to talk about every day. We are "gun people", so we immediately know this is a bunch of BS. But think about the hundreds of thousands or millions of people who will watch that video and be none the wiser. They then turn around and spread this same BS to others who don't know any better. Before you know it, millions of people honestly believe every AR-15 can easily be converted into a fully automatic "assault weapon" with a simple push of a button. The same thing happens with many topic being discussed by these talking heads. While most of us here are pretty familiar with firearms, most of us are far from experts on many other subjects being discussed. We may have some idea of what they are discussing, but the vast majority are basically taking their word for it, just like those who aren't familiar with guns are doing when Gregg Jarrett is spreading BS lies about AR's. Nothing more than a bunch of sheep taking someones word about subjects they really know nothing about. -

I've seen and heard a lot of crazy thing on Fox News, but this has to top the list. Yet another reason I quit watching the news. -
Let me also add that I think Cantrell was a better writer than Staley. Both were very influential in the band's success, but I think Staley was the voice.
-
Oh, man, I couldn't disagree more. Alice in Chains MTV Unplugged is probably one of the best rock albums of all time. While I believe Cantrell is a great guitarist, and helped create some great harmonies with Staley, there's no way I can agree that Cantrell was the main voice all along. In my opinion, the death of Staley has proven that he was Alice in Chains. While William Duvall is a decent enough vocalist, he's clearly no Layne Staley.
-
I just did a quick search of "Glock fails torture test", and there was no shortage of videos that were similar to the VP9.
-
Truth!
-
Very reminiscent of Layne Staley's life and death in so many ways. Very sad.

This could be a good thing. I was never a fan of the location, and I'm sure they'll find another venue rather quickly. -
