Question about the Sandra Fluke; Rush Limbaugh bru-ha-ha...
TripleDigitRide replied to gregintenn's topic in General Chat
Yes, I'm well aware that very little, if anything, is truly "free". When you go to your local Kroger and they have a product advertised as "Buy One, Get One Free", I think it's pretty safe to say that somewhere, someone is actually paying for the "free" half of that deal. I was using the word "free", as in she could walk into the Health Department and walk out with birth control, never handing over cash. -

Question about the Sandra Fluke; Rush Limbaugh bru-ha-ha...
TripleDigitRide replied to gregintenn's topic in General Chat
Although not ideal, I'd rather my tax dollars pay for birth control pills instead of paying to support the children of women who are not using birth control. Sandra "The Fraud" Fluke keeps throwing around some crazy figures when it comes to the yearly cost of birth control; something like $1000. My girlfriend gets her birth control from the Kroger pharmacy for about $15 per month, none being paid for with insurance. That's a far cry from $1000 per year. Not only that, birth control pills can be had for as little as FREE from any public health department. -
Wife Side-Swiped a Pole With My New Truck Today

Bondo on a new truck? I believe I'd have to come up with a better option than that, even if I have to save some money to do it. -
U.S. soldier kills 16 Afghan civilians, including children
TripleDigitRide replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
The updated article mentioned something about him suffering multiple injuries during his 3 or 4 tours, one resulting in the removal of part of his foot. He was told he wasn't going to have to go back for this most recent tour, nor did he want to. Reports are saying that he witnessed his friends leg being blown off the day before he went on this rampage. -
Question about the Sandra Fluke; Rush Limbaugh bru-ha-ha...
TripleDigitRide replied to gregintenn's topic in General Chat
Sandra Fluke is a fraud. She is nothing more than your typical feminist. -
Or, How about a government program that prevents people who can't feed themselves from having children.

Well, I unfortunately do have man-boobs. Equally as unfortunate, they didn't seem to help me in the pre-screening process. No free gummint cheese for me.
-
Jus tryin to feed the chillins. I needs mo money.
-
http://www.fns.usda.gov/wic/ I used the Pre-Screening Tool to see if I would be elegible. Based on my income, I would not.

U.S. soldier kills 16 Afghan civilians, including children
TripleDigitRide replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
Because I've never been in such a situation, my opinion is nothing more than speculation. But I'd be willing to bet that serving 3-5 tours in a s*** hole where the enemy is trying to kill you every day is more likely to cause someone to "break" than a concussion. I think the fact that our troop aren't doing this type of thing more often is a true testament to just how mentally strong our men and women truly are. Although it's difficult to justify such actions, I can't help but feel sorry for this guy. I've never had to walk a single footstep in his boots, so I can't honestly say that I'd be able to handle the stress any better. This is especially true when it appears our government is doing a real s****y job at ensuring our servicemen and servicewomen are properly care for in terms of their psychological well-being. -
Jury finds Va. Tech negligent in '07 shootings
TripleDigitRide replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Probably not, but I don't think making the school pay financially and force policy changes is necessarily a bad thing. I only wish one of the changes would have included the ability to carry on campus. -
Free trigger kits, and the winners are...

Thank you for hosting this giveaway, and congratulations to the winners. -
http://www.wsmv.com/story/17136715/2-arrrested-hendersonville-apartment It would be nice to have more details about the situation, but based on what you've read in the above article, should the guy who came to the rescue be charged? Would you have done the same thing or something different? The other guy was charged with attempted first degree murder, so even the police are admitting the woman was in grave danger.

Since you specified "handgun", I would at least consider a Taurus Judge. With the cost of living over there, I hope your income will be in the high six figures.

It will be a polymer single-stack/stack and a half 9mm.

They retaliate against us, we retaliate against them. It's going to be a vicious cycle until we get out of there. -
Personally, I prefer Owl Hollow. It always feels more relaxed and enjoyable, not dealing with the Range Nazis...errr...Range Officers. If I remember correctly, you can get a yearly membership for about $40 per year.

Utility trailer dealers in Middle Tennessee
TripleDigitRide replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
This is what I found. TRAILER INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS BRAKES (T.C.A. 55-9-204) (FMCSR 393.42.393.43) 1) Trailers with gross weight of 3,000 lbs. or more are required to have brakes on all wheels. 2) Trailers with gross weight of 1,500 to 3,000 lbs. are required to have brakes on one axle. 3) Trailers with gross weight of less than 1,500 lbs. need not be equipped with brakes. If I'm reading that correctly, I would probably be required to have brakes on all wheels. I'm not sure of the weight of just the trailer, but I don't imagine it would be too difficult for the trailer plus the load to exceed 3000 lbs. I'd think the weight of the trailer alone, plus two 700-800 pound motorcycles would cover that pretty easily. -
Utility trailer dealers in Middle Tennessee
TripleDigitRide replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
Does the state of Tennessee require you to have trailer brakes on a utility trailer? Someone told me that TN requires all axles to have brakes if the trailer is 12' or longer. The Summer County Clerks Office could not give me an answer. -
