But have you used them in the same manner in which our soldiers do? I'm not sure they're "junk", but I don't think metal mags can withstand the abuse quite like the PMAGs. I don't have any experience using them in a military setting, but I'm not sure I've ever heard a soldier admit to preferring GI over PMAG. Also, even if what I suggested works, you'll probably want to pull the new plugs and clean them after running it for a while. Even after draining the bad fuel/oil mixture, some will remain inside the engine until it's burned, possibly slightly fouling the new plugs. If it were mine, I'd drain the fuel/oil, replace with new fuel/oil, replace the plugs, and see if that helps. 4-stoke oil will foul out the plugs in a 2-stroke, which could be why it will run for only a short time.
