HCP Range Test Question
TripleDigitRide replied to CRJCapt's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Don't get yourself worked up. The range test is unbelievably easy. In the class I took, there were a couple women who had never fired a gun before that day, and both passed with flying colors. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch using Tapatalk 2 -
Knife Sharpening Services - M'Boro
TripleDigitRide replied to MiddTennTaco's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
I am a horrible knife sharpener. I would like to find someone around Hendersonville. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch using Tapatalk 2 -

Printer technology…or why does my printer use so much ink?
TripleDigitRide replied to DaveTN's topic in General Chat
My fairly new Kodak printer doesn't seem to go through ink quite as quickly as my previous printers. The ink has been cheaper, too. Still not as good as I think current technology could allow, but who knows. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch using Tapatalk 2 -
But have you used them in the same manner in which our soldiers do? I'm not sure they're "junk", but I don't think metal mags can withstand the abuse quite like the PMAGs. I don't have any experience using them in a military setting, but I'm not sure I've ever heard a soldier admit to preferring GI over PMAG. Any Marlin collectors out there?

Being forced to accept such ignorant rules is a good reason why I'd never make it in the military. I'm not sure how our men and women do it. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch using Tapatalk 2

Another tragic end for a toddler

Also, even if what I suggested works, you'll probably want to pull the new plugs and clean them after running it for a while. Even after draining the bad fuel/oil mixture, some will remain inside the engine until it's burned, possibly slightly fouling the new plugs. If it were mine, I'd drain the fuel/oil, replace with new fuel/oil, replace the plugs, and see if that helps. 4-stoke oil will foul out the plugs in a 2-stroke, which could be why it will run for only a short time. Even if that works, I'd have someone check the compression at some point. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch using Tapatalk 2

If I lived in Murfreesboro, I'd drive just about anywhere not to do business with the couple options they have. With that being said, 200 miles isn't necessary. D&T Arms is the cheapest that I've heard about. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch using Tapatalk 2

It's Moore's Fried Chicken. I love that place. Word to the wise, place your order via telephone about an hour before you plan on walking in the door. The owner is the only employee, and he stays swamped. Never tried Prince's, but I want to. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch using Tapatalk 2

$500 sporterized Mosin? Am I missing something...
TripleDigitRide replied to a topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
Yeah, this is not one of those worth anywhere near that kind of money. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch using Tapatalk 2 -
$500 sporterized Mosin? Am I missing something...
TripleDigitRide replied to a topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
Depending in what was done to the Mosin, if you take into account the cost of the rifle, parts, and time to complete the project, that kind of price may not be all that bad. I've seen a few sported Mosins that I'd gladly pay $500 for, assuming I was in the market for such a rifle. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch using Tapatalk 2 -

With the exception of one POS, lying, incompetent THP officer, I've always had pleasant experiences with LEOs. I must admit, that one experience from years ago has not been easy to get over. I keep telling myself that it was just payback for all the times I got away with a ticketable offense. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch using Tapatalk 2

Coffee County - Trimming of goat hooves
TripleDigitRide replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
I spoke with with someone who's more familiar with goats and has actually looked at the goat a while back. From what I understand, the goat has some sort of condition which causes her to suffer pain while standing and walking. The hooves need to be trimmed, but I don't think that alone will cure the problem. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch using Tapatalk 2 -
I know a woman who owns a few goats in Manchester, and one of them is in desperate need of some hoof trimming. And I mean DESPERATE! The poor thing is in such bad shape, she stays on her front knees all the time. Here's the thing, she's going through a divorce, for whatever reason this has not been taken care of. From what I understand, she called a vet, but they won't come out unless the goat is tied up. She can't catch the goat by herself. The goats are in a fenced in area that's roughly 150' x 150'. That's a rough guess. I'm looking for someone who's willing to go over there and trim the hooves. I will pay you to do this. My job brings me to Coffee County on Tuesday's, so I can pay you then. I would rather the owner of the goats not know that I'm sending someone over to do this. It would be nice if you would be willing to just tell her that someone asked you to come over and take care of the hooves at no cost to her. She is a friendly woman, so you don't have to worry about some crazy old lady shooting at you as you pull in the drive. If you or someone you know can please do this, I would greatly appreciate it. As I stated before, if it has anything to do with animals as entertainment, there's a good chance it should be banned. This is especially true for horse racing, dog racing, walking horses, zoos, circuses, Sea World, circuses, etc. And while we're at it, we need to implement ultra-strict rules for the breeding of animals, especially cats and dogs. Little pisses me off more than the abuse of animals, including keeping them in captivity for our own selfish entertainment. In the end, this is only my opinion, and I wouldn't expect much to change because of it.
