  1. It was my fault for not requiring a clean mirror as part of the contest. :biglol: But we do have a winner of a new shinny HK USP 40 Compact magazine. Ladies and Gentlemen, meet FUJIMO! Thank you for being a good sport.
  2. This quote says it all. You continue to take almost no responsibility for what happened. You still don't believe you did anything wrong, other than speaking about it publicly. The opinions of you are hardly unsubstantiated. You admitted to doing something that was obviously against company policy. The act of buying something so you can turn a profit may leave your character up for debate, but your willingness to openly and proudly break a company policy while doing so makes your character very clear. I work for a company who sells product at wholesale prices to retailers. We do not sell to the public. We are allowed to purchase the products for our personal use at a discounted rate. If my company found out I was buying product, then turning around and selling it for a profit, I would find myself in the same boat as yourself. Being a single-father who receives virtually zero child support and zero government assistance, I have found myself in some very tough financial situations during the almost 10 years I've been employed with this company. Never once did I ever consider risking my job by breaking company policy. I would do almost anything else, but losing my job isn't one of them. The fact that you would risk the livelihood your wife and child depend on speaks volumes to your real character. The fact that you then come on here being a whiny bitch is just icing on the cake.
  3. We must remain vigilant. This is far from the end of the discussion, and it will not go away any time soon. We must keep pressure on our elected officials.
  4. I was scrambling to make a doctor appointment for my daughter during the speech, so I only saw the bullet points on the news website. Am I understanding correctly that he did NOT put in place another AWB or ban high-capacity magazines?
  5. What? No one looks at TGO David and thinks "Sexy Beast"? I've met the guy, and he's a rugged dude. Unfortunately I don't have a USP 40 Compact or a P2000.
  6. Filling out an online application as we speak... Pure awesomeness!
  7. Score! That's a sweet deal, because I'm pretty sure those are $50-$60 knives. Congrats!
  8. I currently have this magazine for sale in the classifieds section, but I think this may be a little more fun.   I will ship this magazine free of charge to the first person who posts a photo of himself posing with the USP 40 Compact, shirtless (unless you're a herself), and a sign that reads "TGO David is a sexy beast".   Yep, it's as easy as that.   I don't know for sure, but I believe this magazine may also fit an HK P2000. A photo with one of those will work just as well.
  9. I've never been accused of being well-written before, so I'll accept the compliment. I stand behind my opinion on the matter, but it was just that. You'd have had to really piss me off, and even then I'm not sure I would have gone that far. There are a lot of people on this board, so it may or may not have been someone that voiced their opinion. It could have been anyone.
  10. Although I think something like this is on the lighter side of what could happen, I'm still against it. Like many have said before me, the criminals, insane, and criminally inane don't give a damn about silly loopholes.
  11. Here is a link with some very helpful information.   http://www.tn.gov/safety/driverlicense/dlnew.shtml   Welcome to Tennessee.
  12. I'm pretty sure I made my stance on the subject pretty clear, but man, that's rough. As scoutfsu mentioned, I don't think you can be all that surprised. Not only did you admit to doing it during the heat of this panic, you kinda laughed at the criticism and said you'd do it again if given the opportunity. For the sake of you and your family, I hope you are able to find employment in the very near future. I think I read somewhere that Bass Pro and Cabela's were going to be opening shop.
  13. I am nowhere near an expert on the matter, but I always thought that you were allowed to keep the items you owned prior to the ban taking effect, unless otherwise specified. I could be totally wrong, but that's how I understand it.
  14. Once upon a time, many moons ago, I also did something very stupid.   I was kicked back in the recliner admiring the Ruger .357 Blackhawk I had recently received from my Father. It was loaded when I decided to wipe the fingerprints off with my shirt. Luckily it was resting almost flat on my belly, pointing away from my body, because you know what happened next. BANG! It took me a minute to regain my composure before I could start checking myself for a large hole with blood pouring out. I was lucky.   I knew which direction the bullet went, but I couldn't find a hole anywhere. After several minutes, I found the entry point behind the tuft button on the sofa. The bullet entered right behind the button, so you actually had to pull the button to the side in order to find the hole.   In the end, the bullet traveled through the sofa, the wall behind the sofa, the rear of the dresser that was sitting on the other side of the wall, the read of the middle dresser drawer, the clothes in the dresser drawer, finally getting lodged in the front of the dresser drawer, behind the decorative metal plate. I was thankful that the dresser was placed where it was, because if it hadn't been there, the bullet would have likely exited the bedroom window and ended up who knows where.   Needless to say, I now think about that moment every single time I handle a firearm.   Glad no one was hurt in your incident.
  15. I ordered 2 M&P 15-round mags from Botach 3 or 4 days ago. It said they were in stock. I clicked the "check availability" tab, said it was in fact in stock. I received an email about 10-minutes ago stating "The following item(s) highlighted below from order botach-1151XXX are on backorder with no exact ETA". Based on my past experiences with them, I knew better.
  16. Welcome to the last week or so. There is some ongoing issues with the server. I don't know all of the technical lingo.
  17. I don't think they know much more than we do. I think they are making a smart and cautions business decision. The last thing they want to do is order truckloads of merchandise that they may not be able to sell in the near future. They may or may not lose a relativity small amount of money, but they stand to lose far more if they order inventory they can't well.
  18. The fact that he was re-elected proves that a great man are color blind.
  19. It was Spittin' Bullets. Thank you.
  20. I was in 5 gun shops on Friday looking for 15-round M&P40 mags and a few other things. TN Gun Country had the biggest selection of mags, but none that I was after. There's a little store (the name escapes me) in Springfield that had a handful of G19 mags, but I imagine they were wine before the weekend was over. Now I'm on the hunt for 4 reasonably priced PMAGs for the AR I just put together. I may be out of luck there.
  21. Those who live in commi states are much stronger than myself.
