1. If your garage floor is anything like mine, it's probably too smooth. I'd have to use the driveway or sidewalk. Awesome idea. Thanks for sharing.
2. Here's a link to the video. I didn't see it already posted. http://www.mrctv.org/videos/eric-pratt-gun-owners-america-dishes-out-some-common-sense-and-real-stats-andrea-mitchell-msnbc-full
3. Until recently, for whatever reason, I would purposely go out of my way to not discuss firearms related topics with many people, especially those I thought may not be so like-minded. That has changed in recent weeks. I now find myself going out of my way to bring up the subject, even with people I'm fairly certain are not quite so gun-friendly. I've had some stand as firm in their beliefs as I do mine, but I know for a fact that at least a few have walked away from the conversation thinking about what I said. One or two may have even come to the dark side. One of them will be tagging along for a trip to the range sometime next week. I wish I would have done this much earlier, and I'd like to urge others to do the same thing. I've realized it is often possible to have a discussion with the opposition without it turning into a disaster of a confrontation. It's been rather enjoyable.
4. Man, that sucks. I have ordered a few guns from Bud's, but all of my experiences have been very pleasant. Hopefully they get your situation straightened out soon.
5. I would like to openly apologize for my participation in at least somewhat pushing this thread off track. I would also like to apologize for allowing my emotions to get the better of me and making what could have easily appeared to be personal attacks towards at least one member who didn't quite share the same viewpoint as myself. I stand firm in my beliefs and opinions on the matter, but I shouldn't have allowed myself to get so worked up over it. In the end, we are all in this together. I've made some great friends and acquaintances via TGO over the last several years, and this subject isn't worth damaging any of that. Peace!
6. I don't think this program will be nearly as successful as other buy back programs. It seems like they usually buy back guns that are useful for little more than being a paperweight. Most ARs don't fit into that category. This I probably more symbolic than anything.
7. I think most of us had moved on from his story until he came back crying because he got fired. Aren't you a used car salesman for a company that you or a family member owns? I suppose you and / or the family member would be perfectly accepting of an employee disregarding company policies you put in place? Of course you wouldn't, especially if it shines a negative light on your livelihood. But because what he was doing didn't affect you or your business, it's perfectly acceptable. His actions didn't warrant a letter to his boss, in my opinion, but surely he didn't expect to come here with that kind of story and not receive some backlash. I guess he did. A large number of the threads on TGO are opinion based, and this one is no different. If you don't want to take the chance of having something you say criticized, you probably shouldn't post it. He chose to post it, and we have opinions. Yours are different than mine, but I'm sure that's not because you have unethical used car salesman blood running through your veins.
8. I'll keep an eye out for your mags while I'm looking for mine. How many do you need?
9. I've been on the same hunt, but the 15-round M&P40's.
10. The Onion is my favorite news source.
11.
Well, so far everyone is suggesting the sites I already go to.... Guess I picked some good ones... now, anybody have any suggestions that actually has stuff in stock?  :biglol:
If it's in stock right now, you probably don't want it.
12.
Cable wants you to spend money and not bother them.
This. There seems to have been quite a few changes at Comcast since this whole Xfinity thing took place; some good, some not so much.
13.   Ah, it's nothing more than our opinions. We don't know any more than the person who wrote the article.
14. I've bought from several, but most purchases seem to be from Classic Firearms. They changed the name from Classic Arms.   http://www.classicfirearms.com/
15. I'm still needing a couple M&P 40 15-round magazines, so I am kinda-sorta considering it. I really doubt they'll have any, so I'm kinda-sorta considering not going, too. :dunno:
16. I dunno. I'm not sure that I'm buying that piece. I have a feeling he did just what he had been planning on doing for some time. I don't doubt some tweaks had to be made here and there, but I don't get the feeling he was "rocked" by the opposition.
17. I'm pretty sure they've been dumping Ambien in the drinking water, because the American people are asleep at the wheel.
18.     They are just like any other private sale. You handle it how you see fit. Filling out of paperwork is not required. If you want to trade information, more power to you. If not, that's OK, too.
19.   I'm just the dumb truck driver. I guess we now need the logistics expert.
20.   I think we'll still be able to use the classifieds section, but the TGO Vendors will become middlemen for the transfer process.
21. Unless I'm not comprehending what he said - which is very possible - the more serious stuff (AWB, magazine limits, etc.) are things he is asking congress to do, not something he's implementing via executive order. Am I reading it wrong?
22.   Mine was intended to be more of an executive request. :pleased:
23. Thank you for your cooperation.
24. No doubt. Now that Obama isn't going to bad anything today, we should begin to see the prices drop pretty soon.
