  1. Best of luck to you. I am also seriously considering a career change. I've been a truck driver for the last 15-years; almost 10-years with my current employeer. I don't have much experience or education in any other field, so I suspect finding something else that pays worth a damn isn't going to be very easy. Again, best of luck.
  2. I've always used MILITEC-1 for my firearms. I use Lucas products in my automobiles, so I may give this stuff a shot.
  3. The NRA doesn't appear to have an issue sending out emails for anything else, so I'm not sure why they didn't email this pole to all its members.
  4. This video is a perfect example of how they have no argument for facts and logic. They just make stuff up as they go along. Obviously the whole "we're doing it for the children" debate isn't working, so now we're doing it for the police. Because we know they are being gunned down on a regular basis by "assault weapon" wielding criminals.
  5. I'm pretty sure he believes his own bull****.
  6. Looks like Reed Exhibitions may also lose their managerial role in future Shot Shows after this fuster cluck. Good.
  7. Women in combat. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/59313-leon-panetta-lifts-ban-on-women-in-combat/#entry894361
  8. Sold out. It amazes me what people are willing to pay.
  9. I'm not willing to pay the price, but I thought I'd pass it on. http://www.44mag.com/product/m_p_40_magazine/smith_and_wesson
  10. Reed Exhibition also puts on the Shot Show. Why didn't they ban EBRs and high-capacity magazines there?
  11. Just in... http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/01/24/us-korea-north-nuclear-idUSBRE90N03I20130124
  12. This was already posted somewhere. Yesterday, I think.
  13. Welcome. Thank you for your service.
  14. I've never been in the military, but this sounds like a very bad idea.
  15. That's good to know. A co-worker just purchased the tactical model from Nashville Armory. He said it was stamped .233, and the salesman told him what I posted earlier. If Ruger says it's OK, that's enough for me.
  16. Ah, I forgot about that little detail. I think you're right.
  17. I am a member at Gallatin Gun Club. Put your name on the waiting list right away. If there are going to be any openings, they will know by the end of February or beginning of March.
  18. All of my EDC knives must be partially serrated, so the answer is an easy one for me. I could live with or without the tiger stripes.
  19. Here's an informative link to your first question.   http://www.humanevents.com/2011/02/15/223-remington-vs-556-nato-what-you-dont-know-could-hurt-you/   I've always heard that 5.56 in an older mini-14 are a no-go for sure. I have witnessed a few folks using 5.56 in the newer mini-14's. I'm not sure if the improvements to the newer models were good enough to withstand prolonged abuse from the added pressure of the 5.56.
  20. Don't know where, but a thread about this subject has already been started.
