  1. Do what he did; buy an 80% receiver and the jig. I've never tried it, but they make it look fairly simple.
  2. I know someone who buys totaled vehicles and repairs them to sell. Most are pretty decent cars. Flood damage is the biggest problem. The damage can often be hidden fairly easily, and the electrical issues may not appear for quite a while after the flood damage has occurred. It sometimes takes a decent period of time for things to begin rusting to the point where you'll begin to have electrical issues. A friend of mine recently purchased some sort of KIA SUV/Cross-over thing with a rebuilt title. It was totaled after a rear-end collision. They did a great job at repairing everything to the point where you couldn't hardly notice anything was ever wrong with it....until it rains. They couldn't get the body/roof area above one of the back doors quite perfect, so there's a decent leak when it rains. Unless you compare both sides of the vehicle in that particular area, you'd never notice it had been repaired.
  3. :biglol:
  4. Congratulations to the bride and groom.
  5. This is the third or fourth well-known person related to the firearms industry to die in such a short period of time.
  6. Precious! Congratulations to you and your wife.
  7. Interesting. There was a very similar story of this happening somewhere around the Middle Tennessee area a few weeks ago.
  8.   No. Not that it really matters, but I just realized I wasn't sure who the manufacturer was.
  9. Is there any way to identify a BCG that doesn't have any markings?
  10. Some people just need rescuin'.
  11. A friend of mine just ordered 2 of the MAG stripped lowers. He had to dial the phone about 400 times to get through, but he finally got it. I don't know anything about those MAG lowers, so I guess we'll find out.
  12. I did not realize Android no longer supported flash. Thanks. The fix was found a the following link. It too about 30 seconds to solve the problem. http://blogs.computerworld.com/application-security/21377/updating-flash-player-android-now-requires-hack?mm_ref=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fsearch%3Fhl%3Den%26redir_esc%3D%26client%3Dms-android-sprint-us%26source%3Dandroid-com.sec.android.app.twlauncher%26v%3D141400000%26qsubts%3D1359834028450%26q%3Dflash%2Bplayer%2Bfor%2Bandroid
  13. He was invited to be a vendor several times when he first opened. Who knows, maybe he's secretly shipping everything to the drug cartels in Mexico. I've heard they pay top dollar.
  14. I don't agree its him on much, but I love his delivery. Funny is funny. As far as this clip, he's right on. As we're all consumed with what this administration may or may not do with our guns, this one slips right by. I'm as guilty as the next. There no doubt a method to the government's madness.
  15. They said there were about 200 people in line last weekend, and several camped out overnight.
  16. If it's going to be this damn cold, I want snow. Otherwise, bring on the 70 degree weather.
  17. Is anyone else having an issue seeing videos that have been posted to threads? This problem started a couple days ago, and is happening on my Android phones and tablets. I've gone through and thoroughly cleaned cache, files, etc., but nothing has helped. I can go to Youtube and watch videos without issue.
  18. Here's the Nomad I sold not too long ago. I hope to have another bike sometime in the not so distant future.
  19. Welcome to TGO! Make yourself at home and enjoy your stay.
  20.   This is a great video about the saw.   http://www.finewoodworking.com/item/45040/stephen-colbert-takes-the-sizzle-out-of-sawstop
  21.   The hot dog was quite moist, and it looked like there was a spot on the dog where the blade hit it. No doubt better than losing an entire finger, but I'm still curious about the need for moisture.
  22.   For some reason it the video wasn't appearing while my phone. I am able to view it just fine on the PC. Yes, the saw has a sensor that detects skin, then stops.   Now that I think about it some more, he even dipped his hand in something to add additional moisture. Most folks aren't working with soaking wet hands. Cool idea, but obviously needs some more work.
  23. Although it is cool idea, the "finger test" was a little lame when attempting to show how it works in a real world situation. He should have been put his finger into the blade at the same speed the average person would be pushing a board through the saw. You may not lose your entire finger, but I'd bet you'll still be cut.
  24. It's stories like this that make me wonder just how much longer these type of things can go on before people start snapping.
