  1. There's no doubt at least some LEOs are afraid. That's why some of them have not left their homes and / or are being guarded 24/7 since he began his rampage.
  2. Welcome to TGO! Enjoy your stay!
  3.  :bowrofl:
  4. If they really want the hogs gone, it seems TWRA would ease the restrictions quite a bit more often. Why limit it to just a 10-day hunt?
  5. If so, you may want to avoid using your keyless remote to open your trunk.   http://boston.cbslocal.com/2013/01/27/car-explosion-rocks-parking-lot-in-stoneham/
  6. I'd imagine a little heat will help prevent breaking/cracking. In reality, it's probably too much trouble. I'll take it off your hands and dispose of it properly.
  7. Welcome! Enjoy your stay.
  8. Yes, I completely understand. Makes perfect sense.
  9. May I ask where you work?
  10. As has been me mentioned in another thread, Whittaker's has received roughly 100 ARs in the last 10 days. I don't know exactly how that compares to what our local shops are receiving, but based on what I'm hearing from those in search of them, our shops aren't quite that fortunate. They've also received at least 25 complete upper halves in the same time period. And have you seen the pictures of their ammo walls? My gosh! They have more ammo than the 20 nearest Wal-Marts combined.
  11. I have the same problem. My Basset Hound loves digging for them, but he makes the problem even worse. Several people have mentioned that getting rid of the grubs is the key. No grubs means no food for the moles. I am going to look at my options.
  12. He purchased 2 of them. The one he built right away had a few problems. First of all, the finish isn't worth a damn. It's like cheap black spray paint. The hole where the spring and detent for the pivot pin go was too low, causing the pivot pin to be maligned enough that it wouldn't go all the way in. He was able to use a drill to make the hole slightly bigger, enough to make the pivot pin work properly. Once the upper and lower were mated and pins pushed in, you nearly need a hammer (no joke) to push the pins out. Never seen them so tight. Then there was the issue I asked about when starting his thread. I'm not sure now they justify the $169 price tag (pre-craze price), but I just don't see it.
  13. Yeah, they're definitely not a lower I'd buy. There are far too many issues with these lowers. Very poor quality control.
  14. Found a DPMS LPK for $70 and a BCG for $130. Huge scores that I wasn't expecting.
  15. That's what I was thinking, but what to make sure there wasn't a missing space or something like that. Thank you very much.
  16. A friend of mine just built an AR. The free float handguard is so close to the lower receiver that it won't allow the lower to pivot. What's the fix?
  17. Unfortunately, he hasn't attempted to stab the right person, yet.
  18. Yeah, no way I'm ever paying 50¢ per round for .223. I'll sell my freshly-built AR first.
  19. I am looking for a very skilled and experienced gunsmith with ARs in the Nashville/Murfreesboro area. I need a FSP removed, low pro gas block installed (barrel dimpled), free float rails installed, and barrel threaded to accept 1/2-28 flash suppressor. Recommendations welcome.
  20. Duh! Thank you very much, Sir.
  21. Is there a setting that will take me to the last read or first unread post when I visit a thread? It happens when I'm on Android, but not the PC.
  22.   Ah, I guess it would have helped if I thought to look at your current location. Welcome back!
