Unless he's simply ready for this ordeal to be over, I'm not so sure he's dumb enough to "engage" anyone. I'm picturing it more as a sneak attack than anything. Although, maybe not outstanding at either, this guy was in the military and LE. He's not some common thug who's couldn't hit the broad side a a barn while randomly blasting his fotey-cal with the sideways grip. He does, at least, have a general idea what he's doing.   I generally try not to underestimate my opponent, especially when they have the advantage of the element of surprise. We're not talking about a dual of skill at the local target range or even hand to hand combat. This guy could come out anywhere at anytime. I hope they find him before he finds them.

There's no doubt at least some LEOs are afraid. That's why some of them have not left their homes and / or are being guarded 24/7 since he began his rampage.

As has been me mentioned in another thread, Whittaker's has received roughly 100 ARs in the last 10 days. I don't know exactly how that compares to what our local shops are receiving, but based on what I'm hearing from those in search of them, our shops aren't quite that fortunate. They've also received at least 25 complete upper halves in the same time period. And have you seen the pictures of their ammo walls? My gosh! They have more ammo than the 20 nearest Wal-Marts combined.
