  1. The whole atmosphere of the place was like walking into a funeral home. It just looked trashy and unkept. Not at all like I remembered from my previous visits.
  2. I had to make a quick round trip to Ringold, GA, so I decided to swing by Hero Gear. That place has changed, and not for the better.
  3. Something didn't work in your post.
  4. Oh, it's beyond cray cray. Just look at their prices on everything else. No .223/5/56 for less than $1.00/round.
  5. I can't believe that's still in stock.  :stunned:
  6.   When you have the employee in charge of guns and ammo sending you text messages, you already have an advantage. Thankfully now have all I need for a while. I could have racked up at Guns & Leather this morning, but I got the Harris bipod I have been looking for and left.
  7. It's hard, man. Not only is supply slim and demand high, but some of these guys have been friends or become friends with the sporting goods person at Wal-Mart. I was at the Springfield Wal-Mart this morning picking up laundry detergent, so I decided to see if they were going to bring out some ammo. While standing there, another guy was bragging about how he has scored a a bunch of ammo at our Wal-Mart, and even 2 AR's in one day. I thought he was possibly full of it....until the employee who's always in charge of the sporting goods section sent him a text message from the back. She came out a few minutes later and said there was no ammo. I kinda got a funny feeling they were up to something, but I left anyway. And he had the nerve to mention that he complained to the manager about a night crew employee selling ammo to his friend before 7:00 am.   When you have the same group of guys making friends with store employees and showing up every single day, the odds are against you.
  8. Welcome from Springfield.
  9. I awoke, only to realize it was only a dream.
  10. That's the cutest thing I've seen all day.
  11. He's there with three of the Harlem Globetrotters and an American media crew. If I remember correctly, an executive from Google was recently in North Korea, too.
  12. I had great luck at couple Wal-Mart stores last weekend. If I find anything other than .223/5.56 this weekend, I'll sell or trade it here for what I have in it.
  13. Yeah, this is a very unrealistic scenario on almost every level. Not a very good argument.
  14. The jig is designed to ensure you drill the correct sized hole in the proper location.
  15. This will be the least of the things they get away with. They simply are not held accountable for much of anything. Same ****, different day.
  16. How much for a case of that PMC .223?
  17. Yep. Was just there on Friday. Lots of stock, but you'll pay for it.
  18. Welcome to TGO. Make yourself at home and enjoy your stay.
  19. And spells "loses" wrong. Sorry, I couldn't help myself.
  20. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Hydro-dipped+gun
  21. By the way, he also had a guitar body hydro-dipped for carbon fiber look. It was then clear coated for a glossy look. He plays hard rock / metal, and it's help up very nicely. The guitar is abused far more than his guns.
  22. I know someone who had some AR parts (stock, grip, handguard) hydro-dipped. The first time he didn't have a clear coat applied, so it didn't last long. The second time he had them apply a "flat" clear coat, and it looks great. He had this done last spring, and it is holding up very nicely. He doesn't abuse it, but when I saw it a couple weeks ago, I didn't notice and scratches or chips.
  23. There's nothing difficult about it. He listed a laundry list of items for trade/sale, I responded with prices I was willing to pay for several items, he agreed to all but one price. I have since messaged to set up a time to pick up or arrange payment and shipping. It's been nothing but a runaround, so I gave up.
  24. I'm glad you were able to buy something. He's been nothing but a pain in the ass when I've tried to buy stuff from him.
  25. You need to move out West if you want to shoot at those distances.
