  1. It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!
  2. Badger Ordnance and Rainier Arms Raptor are my two favorites.
  3. I'm always surprised this topic comes up quite as often as it does. The AR is all-around the superior weapon. End of story.  :taunt:
  4. That's great news. Thanks for keeping us updated, Dave!
  5. Damn you!  :yum:  I have some family that will be visiting in a month or two, so I plan on stocking up this time.
  6. If you haven't uninstalled and reinstalled Tapatalk since David was kind enough to let us use it again, you may need to do so. I'm still seeing HTML code in posts made by some of those using Tapatalk. I was having the same issue, and a quick uninstall and reinstall solved the problem.
  7. MidwayUSA is usually TGO best place to pick up those Alangator TriMags, unless you can find them locally. They are usually about $10-$12.
  8. Do yourself a favor, just try to find a few Ruger brand round (square) 10-round magazine, and pick up a Alangator TriMag. Better and more dependable than any other 10/22 magazine on the market.
  9. Looks like January 8th was the last day he logged on. Like you, I hope all is well.
  10. This kind of stuff takes a lot of time, so it's nice to see him moving in a positive direction so soon. My sister destroyed her elbow in a recent snowmobile accident, and it seems like Don is making more progress than she is.
  11. I didn't mean to insinuate that you weren't prepared or holding a grudge. I was just speaking about myself.
  12. I think you meant Airsoft, not paintball.
  13. Because I allowed my self to be unprepared, I understand your frustration. Now that I spent some time searching for ammo and built an AR for a very reasonable price, it doesn't bother me quite so much. Although I choose not to take part in the current inflated prices, it does kind of bother me to see it on TGO, more so than when I see it on the firearms classified websites. I feel TGO is more of a family, but I don't hold any personal grudge towards anyone who does sell at the current prices. The problem is, if you're selling something to place it with something else, you really have no choice but to sell it at these prices, because it's very difficult to find someone who's willing to sell something to you at a reasonable price I've tried to avoid this by trading, not selling. The problem with that is, most of the trade responses I receive are from those who want me to value my item(s) at 2011 prices while they value their item(s) at the current market prices. That's why I just removed my ad for .380 ammo. I tried to be fair by doing my best to recall what I paid when I bought it and using MidwayUSA's website as a price guide, but I still had idiots trying to trade me reloaded .223 at the .70/round that he recently bought it for. I'm done listing stuff for sale or trade for a while. I have everything I need, and I don't need to get rid of anything, especially when it's going to be a pain in the ass.
  14. Remember, when estimating your travel time to and from work, take into account the rush hour traffic, because we do have it. I do know some folks that live near Franklin, Murfreesboro, Mt. Juliet, Lebanon, and I've heard them complaining that it can take an hour or long to get to and from work. I have a 45-minute commute from Springfield, but I'm heading to work at 5:00 am. It can take a few minutes longer in the evening, but I avoid the bumper to bumper on I-65 by taking I-24.
  15. That's what I get for bragging. I was so shocked that I found ammo at Wal-Mart in the middle of the day, I forgot to grab some milk.
  16. If it makes you feel any better, I just picked 3 333 round boxes of Winchester .22LR at Wal-Mart....in the middle of the day....on accident. :taunt:
  17. Crime and taxes, for starters.
  18. Blank, not black.
  19. You can get them at many places. I usually get the black ones that are big enough to tape or staple 4 8x11 targets that we find and print online. I think two of the targets have to be placed horizontally to fit, but that hardly matters.
  20. What kind of targets? I usually use those corrugated plastic yard sale type signs that come with the wire stand. I tape or staple the targets to them. Unless you're shooting them with a shotgun, they can be reused several times. I usually pick them up from sign companies, Lowes, or anywhere else I can find them on the cheap.
  21. I fell for the same thing when I was buying a Magpul stock. Luckily, I caught it before the item shipped. They refunded my money right away.
  22. First of all, this is Tennessee, not the Great Plains. Hills and trees come with the territory. If she wants to see for miles, maybe a mountain top. If you want to be within 30-45 from the east side of Nashville, check out Mt. Juliet or Lebanon. For more of a country feel, check out Watertown. Although, that may be pushing you 30-45 minute drive to the limit. Other nice areas around Nashville would be Franklin (Williamson County) and surrounding areas, Hendersonville (Sumner County) and some of the surrounding areas.
  23. Some guy (not from here, I don't think) contacted me about some ammo I have listed, and he offered me some reloaded .223 that he bought for .70/round at a local gun show.
  24. If I were on the jury, I'd vote not guilty. End of story.
