Are you at all concerned that your hand could easily slide from the handle to the blade? Not knocking your work, but I'd sure as heck slice my hand open.

Well, looks like I spoke too soon. Dave (KershawGuy) sent me an email informing me that he was able to remove the spots with some WD40. Because I had tried this myself, I was pleasantly surprised. He didn't have any other 350TSST's in stock, so I told him to send my knife back or I'd take a 350ST, whichever he preferred to do. I received my knife today...with the same spots as it had when I sent it back. :ugh: While I'm definitely bummed, I knew the blemished models didn't come with a warranty, so there are no hard feelings. However, I don't think I'll be buying another one. Being a work knife, minor imperfections aren't an issue, but rusting is not something I expected from such an expensive knife. Honestly, I've never experienced rust issues with any knives I've owned, even those cheap $5 throw away knives. Oh well.

I can tell you one thing, you need to call and ask which documents that you'll need to bring. Then bring everything else. They are a pain in the *** when it comes to the documents. I would bring SS card, birth certificate, and at least a couple documents with your new address. I can't tell you how many people I know who've stood in line for a couple hours, only to be told to come back with the proper documentation.

This is horrible news.

On Sale Now: 40 Round PMAGs

They just posted about them today on their Facebook page. -
I wouldn't expect it to help him yet...in TN as I would expect it it in FL, the protection against civil suites kicks in once the shoot had been ruled to be justified. I'm not sure how Trayvon's parents got the home owner's association to fork over big bucks given that the trial hadn't even started yet...I'd consider it a bit of poetic justice if the HoA seeks restitution from Trayvon's parents if Zimmerman is found not guilty. ;) I suspect the HOA decided to settle because of the potential cost of a trial. Is it safe to say that the HOA's insurance company paid the settlement?

Look what I get to do for father's day

Happy Father's Day!

I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did he offer to exchange it, but when I told him that I wasn't concerned enough to hassle with shipping it back, he insisted. Who am I to argue with a guy who has so many knives?

10,000 bottles of Chicken Cock whiskey stolen

I contacted both KershawGuy and ZT to see if they had seen this before, or if they had any suggestions on possibly removing the spots. I emailed the same photo that I posted here. It's a blemish, so I didn't bother inquiring about a return or exchange. ZT responded first. They claimed to have never seen anything like it before, and were unable to suggest a way to remove the spots. I mentioned the Scotch-Brite that someone else suggested, and they said "go for it". Pretty well a waste of time. KershawGuy said that it appears to be rusting under the Tungsten DLC coating. I also mentioned the Scotch-Brite suggestion to him, and he said that would only damage the coating. While he didn't have to, and i didn't even ask, he told me to send it back for a replacement. He should have received it late last week. If he ships the new one as fast as he did the first, the replacement should be here Monday or Tuesday.

About to enter closing on my first house. Excited.

 Congrats on the new home. I am taking a break from preparing our floors for hardwood. I'm too fat for this crap. I'm about to start painting and staining roughly 150' of shoe molding. Hopefully, by the time I get finished with that, it will have cooled down a few degrees so I can mow the lawn. Our yard isn't very big, so I can usually push mow it in about 45 minutes. -
Troubling news for the Trayvon Martin camp

I wish i could find a job that paid as well as my current one, but didn't require a CDL. I love my job, but the BS that comes along with a CDL is a royal PITA. I hope to be able to move onto something else one of these days.
-
If i remember correctly, the DMV charges about $50 for your CDL. There is an additional fee (few bucks) for the tanker endorsement, Just hope you don't have to get a HAZMAT endorsement. It's much like getting your HCP. Finger prints, background check, expensive...

Well, then I would disregard my advice until you find out the procedure for that. It may be what has been explained here, but it very well may be slightly different.

I have no idea what "57 restriction permitted" means. I've never heard of that. I did a quick Google search, and came up with nothing.
