The jalapeño cracker is innocent, I tell ya!

As the old saying goes, "You can take the thug out of the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto out of the thug."   Many of these guys spend much of their childhood and young adult lives being the stars of their communities. As youngsters, their negative behavior is often more easily overlooked because of their superior athletic abilities. This is especially true once they reach the age where they start making money for the teams they're playing for.   I've always found it fascinating how many of these guys somehow become college graduates (thanks to basket weaving classes), yet they continue to talk like they have a mouth full of marbles. It doesn't take but a few seconds into an interview to realize they can hardly put two coherent words together, much less a complete sentence.    Then there's the fact that many of them grow up poor. Handing a multi-million-dollar check to someone who has lived much of their life hand-to-mouth is asking for trouble. Hell, my parents did alright, and I couldn't imagine being given that kind of money in my early-20's. I'd like to think I could have managed a little better than some of these guys, but who knows.

I watched this when it aired the other day. As a fan of metal, I find it to be extremely impressive, especially given their ages.

And shouldn't people like you realize that people have their own opinions that may differ from yours? I have asked several folks on here to give me the link to the "real" 911 call or at least the version they liked and no one has done so. So one says "search GOOGLE"...lmao. OK I did...now give me a link to the "version" of the 911 call you would like my to accept as gospel! I'm getting the real impression that folks with differnent opinions, opinions that don't fall in line with the "cliques" aren't much welcome here. With that being said.... Dave No matter how much our opinions differ, I would never hold that against you or anyone else. However, come on here and spread debunked rumours about Zimmerman calling Martin a "coon", that takes it to a whole new level. CNN was pretty much the first people to bring up the alleged "coon" comment. After their own audio experts further examined the audio, CNN retracted their original statements. Not even the prosecution believes Zimmerman called Martin a "coon", so that should be enough to keep you from continually spreading that BS. If you want to discuss your opinion about those who use racial slurs, I'm all for it. Martin's "girlfriend" has given us that very opportunity, with her testimony of Martin being the one who used racial slurs.

My only problem with Zman is he should have stayed in his truck and stayed on the phone with police. Let the police find and question him. That's their job! His was to "observe and report" and that's all. I bet old Zman wishes the same right now too. This is one of the most screwed up court cases since OJ! This girl friend of TM's is this trials "Cato Katlin" from the OJ days! I really want to sit back and laugh..... Dave The case couldn't be much more straight forward. If people like you would stop using the interwebz to spread myths and debunked rumours, the case would appear much less screwed up.

I doubt he will ever pick up a firearm. Shooting someone puts some stuff in your mind, I hear, even from cops who had to. Most sane people don't wish to do others harm like that. I know I would have to be cornered to kill someone else and it would have to be in defense of self or another. It would bother the Hell out of me, for a while, at least. The problem is, you have some who would like US to believe that Zimmerman is some kind of deranged, cold-blooded killer. Now that he's had the taste of blood, he'll soon be strolling through the nearest projects, blowing away anything that moves.

I seen one version of the 911 call where Z called TM and F****** Coon...right before he called him an a-hole. Some folks here will tell you that's the wrong version of the 911 call, but it's the version the prosecution used. So it's the version I use, as no one will link me to the cleaned up goody goody version. TM said (according to his friend) Creepy azz kracker.... Double standard is about right. Dave I sure hope you're just pretending to be that stupid.

I'm a dumbass truck driver, and I knew the US was monitoring our every move and hacking into foreign systems. I don't think Snowden has dropped and bombshells that weren't already common knowledge, whether they've admitted it or not. I never understood how, with a straight face, the .gov could ever condemn any foreign government for hacking into our systems, knowing damn well we have been doing the same thing to them.

Yea, seems to me an apology or two might be in order. I found it very interesting that she testified that Trayvon used the racial slur "creepyass cracker" to describe Zimmerman to her just prior to Trayvon's ambushing/assaulting Zimmerman. If this is true, does that make Zimmerman the victim of a "hate crime"? At least there's now evidence of who the real racist was. If nothing else, Zimmerman did the world a favor. Whatever the outcome, at least that thug will never walk among us.

Not going to happen. This farce is going to have to come down to the jury to decide. Way too much politics here for the judge to do the right thing. As much of a no-brainer as this appears to be, it's still quite scary and sad that there's always the possibility of a jury finding him guilty. Did all of the State's witnesses happen to pile out of the same Chevette, right there in the middle of the court room?

How do these "witnesses" get away with blatantly lying while under oath?

DOJ can, of course, do whatever they want--and they do--but the FBI already had a handful of SAs down in Sanford to hunt for evidence of racial motive, and they came up empty. Naw, the defense is prepared. The fact that a citizen is taking a proactive role in keeping the neighborhood safer is hardly the the most damaging information they prosecution could bring to the table. This is especially true now that the jury has heard about the rash of crime in the neighborhood.

Yes, you understood correctly. With that being said, there are some who wouldn't care if the police planted evidence. Afterall, if Zimmerman hadn't stepped foot out of his vehicle, there would've not been a reason for evidence.

:shake: First of all, not all Hispanics are Mexicans and not all Hispanics eat Tacos. My parents are Dominican (Dominican Republic, you know that little country that won the WBC this year) and we eat other things and tortillas are not in our diet. There's no such thing as "white-Hispanic", there's Hispanic that has a white skin complexion or you can say what their nationality background is: Mexican, Puerto Rican, Dominican, etc.. And not every spanish speaker is Mexican or speaks Mexican, it's "Spanish". :hat: And not all non-taco eating Hispanics know tongue-in-cheek when they read it.
