D&T just got some CCI (limit 2) and 325 round bricks (limit 1). They don't seem to like posting prices on Facebook, so I have no idea what the price may be. If they got some, there's a chance that other local shops got some, too.

If you have to ask "how hard is it?", it's probably not for you. :p

I hope this hadn't already been posted. I searched, but came up empty handed. http://youtu.be/44zW84FKd50 http://youtu.be/44zW84FKd50

One thing has been quite evident; if you're ever involved in a similar situation, keep your mouth shut. I understand Zimmerman feeling the need to clear his name, but the prosecution can and will every single word against you. If it weren't for so much talking, I think the prosecution would have had about 30 minutes of evidence. Don't talk to your wife, best friend, parents, no one.

It came out before the case. Today I'm not sure if I'm remembering it wrong or not on whether it was a sound byte from his testimony or if it was on the ticker on the bottom of the screen on HLN while they ran the tape. He did recommend charges though, and the DA said "no". I'm guessing he said it today, and I just missed it. FoxNews mentioned it in an article today. If, in fact, he did say that in front of the jury, that could be a bit damaging to the defense.

TGO truckers, your opinion on new Fed laws for taking breaks

The shippers, carriers and consignees are going to be forced to adapt to these changes. -
I watched/listened to most of today's events, especially the last few hours. The original investigator/detective was a huge help for Zimmerman, especially the last few questions. He admitted on more than one occasion that he was feeling pressure from "outside sources", and that he was rushed by said sources. He didn't name names. If the very last question and answer didn't put the nail in the prosecution's coffin, I don't know what will. The prosecutor was making every effort to stop the defense from hammering it home, but he was getting rejected almost every step of the way. You could tell by the tone of his voice that he was taking a beating.

Based on the documentary, they prescribe the patient 100 pills (10 grams) that gets mixed with a glass of water. The patient drinks it, and within a 2 or 3 minutes, they are out like a light. Basically, it's an overdose that puts the patient into medical induced coma very quickly. The actual death usually follows in less than 30 minutes. Of the patients they showed taking the medication, it couldn't have been a better way to go, considering the circumstances. Everything appeared very calm and relaxing.

TGO truckers, your opinion on new Fed laws for taking breaks

Yeah, it has become increasingly difficult to keep up with the ever-growing and ever-changing list of HOS regulations. Because of this, I would gladly accept the installation of an EOBR in my truck. All of our drivers are on a time clock, so even if the .gov makes EOBR's mandatory, I'm not sure we'd be included. I do know that I'm tired of paper logs. -
I just finished watching a heart-wrenching documentary on Netflix, How to Die in Oregon. They follow a few people who are suffering their final days with a terminal illness, and all have decided to take advantage of Oregon's 'Death With Dignity Act'. Unlike Dr. Kevorkian's method of lethal injection, their doctors write them a prescription for a medication in pill form. They pick up the medication at their local pharmacy, then take the medication if and when they see fit. I was on the fence about this issue, but after watching these people suffer, and the peacefullness after taking the medication, I am all for it. As a huge documentary fan, this was one of the more difficult to watch. Left me with something to think about.

I'm ready. Unfortunately, even as a local driver, this will be another pain in the butt for me. For those who don't have to fill out a log book, it's going to be extremely easy to get away without the 30 minute break. Because there is one day a week that I generally need to log, I have to log the rest of the days, too. While it can't hurt, I highly doubt this will have much of a positive impact, if any. I don't have any statistics, but I'm pretty certain that the vast majority of drivers aren't driving for more than 8 hours without a break. Eight hours is a long time to go without, at the very least, stopping to take a leak. Like many of these federal regulations, it's going to cost the driver. That's 30 minutes a day he/she won't be getting paid for their time. Just another reason why I'll never take a job that pays by the mile or by the stop. -
I think that's the other Golden Rule, "If the shoe fits, wear it."
