  1. Threatening somebody with a weapon is aggravated assault. That's how I view Lenny's actions, no matter how skilled he is at working the law to get away with it. I write my legislators, support the NRA, and other truly lawful things to fight the anti's. I'm not going to threaten them with an AR. I was raised better. Mikey, Mikey, Mikey! Legally carrying a gun is now aggravated assault? What size does the gun have to be before OCing becomes aggravated assault? I'm pretty sure I've seen a guy or two packing dual wheel guns with barrels the size of an average AR. Seriously though, We have to be very careful here. While I have never openly carried an AR, nor do I plan on it, but I don't was anyone telling me that I can only carry a gun fits within their size limits.
  2. As a teenager, I drove a snow plow in the winter, and cruised around on a Skag mower during the rest of the year. As an adult, I worked for my Father at his moving company. When he decided to sell, I went to work for one of the major Van Lines. I also repaired and re-lined chimneys during this time. I then decided to obtain my CDL and become the awesome steering wheel holder I am today. I spent the first year or so driving over the road, but I've been local with my current company for the last 10 1/2 years. If this is what I have to do, there's no other company I'd rather work for.
  3. I understand the anger and frustration towards Leonard, but I'm slightly perplexed by the desire for physical violence and death. He's one guy doing something that many obviously consider stupid and possibly threatening to our already eroding 2A rights, and some feel the solution is violence. On the other hand, when those who truly hold the fate of our 2A rights in the palm of their hands make a serious and in-our-face play to further erode said rights, you answer by stocking up on .22 LR.
  4. That video is titled "part II". Where's part 1?
  5. If that were the case, who's to say that someone OCing his or her 1911 through Wal-Mart couldn't be considered the same thing. While carrying an AR and wearing a bullet proof vest is much less common, It's a very slippery slope.
  6. You can have your very own for $500. BTW, he is quoted at the Examiner as saying that he did in fact have the suppressor paperwork in the case. http://www.examiner.com/article/controversial-gun-activist-arrested-with-silencer So he was detained by 10-15 LEOs at least several minutes prior to being detained for a second time? I'd be interested in hearing more about the initial encounter where it appears he was allowed to go about his business.
  7. That is the only problem I have with his tactics. I think he should have answered their questions an went about his business. The police appeared to be doing their job in a relaxed and polite manner, so I don't think there was a need for Leo to be so argumentative.
  8. Welcome! Enjoy your stay!
  9. Rabbi is the only other one that comes to mind.
  10. Does anyone know what type of literature it was that he was handing out?
  11. Thank you. I'll look into them. Does anyone have any idea what the going rates are for such a service?

  13. I'm not that savvy, where the laws are concerned, but it appears the police handled the situation pretty well. Based on what I just saw, once he proves that he is legally allowed to own the items in his possession, the charges will be dropped.
  14. There's no doubt that every one of us have allowed our government to slowly erode our rights, turning them into their own interpretations. We all have an invisible line, and some are willing to be pushed farther than others. For some, that invisible line won't be crossed until they come kicking in your door to confiscate your guns. Sadly, for countless more, their invisible line will be even further than that.   You're not likely to find many who are willing to admit it, but most are scared to death of the government, and that's exactly how our leaders want it. A fearful society is an obedient society. Some people are fearful of death, while others are fearful of losing their freedom and material possessions. As long as the masses are fearful, the government can obviously do whatever they want.    As of this moment, Leonard is on a one-man mission. I don't believe he is some sort of undercover anti-gunner who's out to make all gun owners look like whackos. I believe his invisible line has been crossed, and he's legally (pending the outcome of this event) doing what he feels necessary to make his point. I'm not sure it's the best option, but I do have respect for his willingness to stand up for what he believes.
  15. We enjoyed our stay there, until they cranked up the floor buffers/cleaners at 6:30 a.m. I'm pretty sure those things we powered by 3000 horsepower diesel engines, running at as many RPMs.
  16. You don't think they'd be happy with the fact that we're content with turning rights into privileges?
  17. My Father is in the beginning stages of opening a small business, and he understands that his web presence can impact his bottom line. Problem is, with the exception of free ads on Google, Yahoo, Bing, Yelp, Facebook, etc, he's not sure how to effectively increase his presence on the web. I know there are companies who make all kinds of promises while offering their services for a fee, but I don't know if such a service is worth the money, or who to trust. Anyone have any advice or someone they can recommend?
  18. If he can prove that he can legally own the items in his possession, shouldn't the charges be dropped?
  19. Zero issues with my M&Ps.
  20. I don't. I'm the boss, so I buy whatever I want, when she gives me permission. She doesn't care what I buy. She knows that I'm not going to buy anything we can't afford.
  21. I looked into all these alternative TV programming options, but the small savings didn't seem worth it. By time I were to buy all the equipment and pay for 2 or 3 service subscriptions, it just didn't seem worth it. Not to motion, I couldn't find a service that was authorized to broadcast the shows we watch most. Without an antenna, watching a show or sports event in real time didn't appear to be an option.
  22. I've somehow been unlucky enough to know two informants during my younger years. Both were drug users and/or dealers who were paying off their debt to society by being narcs for police departments. Both would brag about how easy it was to manipulate the police, because there was never any video of the transactions, only an audio recording device. They could easily keep some of the drugs or money for themselves, and could easily distort the audio by discreetly covering the microphone, blaming it on something else. They were the only eyes on the inside, and they apparently were not searched very well before and after the transactions. Never seemed like a legit practice to me.   I don't see the race angle, but I'm white.
